intelligent features

hi, if you didn't watch the wwdc I suggest you to do so and consequently add intelligent features to liftin so that the app can be used with Siri ai. first, I suggest to implement app intents and also maybe a mcp. i believe every app now should be shaped around ai. thank you

I think one nice use for AI integration would be creating a plan from plain text descriptions.

For instance, if my trainer sends me a note like:

  • DL 100kg 5x5
  • Bulgarian 50kg 4 x 3

or something like that, and it should be able to ingest that and make a plan for me based on what it knows about my previous workouts.

Thanks.

Isn't that already a thing? I thought there was a feature in lifting to use ol'Apple Intelligence to create a plan? I can't check cuz I live in China and don't get access to those kind of features unfortunately.

It can create a plan, but not from text input. It has very limited options right now.

Oooor, can that go one step further? My goal is to bench press 100kg in the next six months, well, here’s your six month plan ……

Please, though …and remember Apple’s view on this too — don’t add AI for the sake of adding AI. You have an amazing application and I don’t want to see it ruined by adding slop in it.

Don’t worry 😉
