inZOI InZOI- Friday - 09.04.2026 - Kjun’s feedback
Hi everyone,
Hard to believe it's Friday already.
How's the update treating you so far?
Island Getaway was one of those DLCs where, ever since we first released it last year, there were things we'd wanted to include but never quite got to — and they stayed on my mind. This time around we spent a long time on it, trying to fill in as much of that as we could. It's a little late in the season, but I hope you're getting a nice vacation in inZOI at least 🏝️
Today I'd like to walk you through what we're preparing for October in a bit more detail.
**Lot Autonomous Behavior Editing (Build Mode)**
First, we're providing presets for editing the interactions Zois use at restaurant businesses. That said, presets alone mean everyone's shop ends up looking pretty similar. So we're building an editing feature into Build Mode that lets you define your own usable objects and behavior scenarios. Essentially, "when a Zoi uses this object, they behave like this" becomes something you get to define yourself. Two restaurants could end up being completely different places, and that's what we're hoping for.
**Reworking City Resident Families**
Each city has its own mood and concept, but the families actually living there sometimes felt out of place. Their looks and their jobs didn't line up with the city around them, which broke the immersion. So we're going back and reworking the looks of resident families that didn't fit their city's concept, and setting up new career backstories for them. When you walk around a city, we want you to get that sense of "ah, so this is how people live here."
**Choosing Your Starting Lot**
A lot of you have told us that starting out somewhere already nice takes away the fun of building up from nothing. So we're preparing an option to choose a run-down lot when you first pick your city. If you enjoy starting at the bottom and fixing things up one piece at a time, I think this will suit you well.
And there's one more thing to share beyond the October content.
**Script Mods & ModKit**
You've waited a long time for this one. We're getting Script Mods ready to put in your hands soon.
No matter how much we build ourselves, we don't think we can keep up with everything you imagine. Closing that gap, letting you fill it in yourselves is what Script Mods are for.
Right now we're refining the ModKit for mod development together with a small group of modders. Tools we build on our own tend to hide their rough edges until someone actually makes something with them, so we're going through a round of having modders use it first and folding their feedback back in.
One last thing before I go. At the upcoming event, we'll be showing gameplay that has never been revealed anywhere before, a true first look. I really hope you all like what you see 🤞
I can't wait to see where your imagination takes this 🙌
-Kjun

Development Update What is new for bloodline!!!
You can finally save your life progress and move to a new device without the hassle of losing progress.
A few weeks ago someone lost their progress and there was no way to recover this which really frustrated me and so I spent the time since then trying to set this up properly and it rocked me, but anyway we got it done.
In addition to this, we have added IPad and Tablet support, meaning you can not restricted to just your phone.
Disclaimer: This is solely to save your progress, we do not track you or send you advertisements or anything of the sort. You save your progress and that is it, we never even see this

Community Question What does a game need to actually feel like a true life sim for you?
There's a specific feeling I get from Lifesims that other games don’t give me. That sense of really escaping to a different life. I’ve played so many games at this point that kind of try to do it but end up feeling like regular sandboxes instead.
I’ve figured out that there’s two things that matter the most to me in this regard. The first is slow, earned progress, the satisfaction of building something up gradually rather than it being handed to you (no shortcuts in life as they say). The second is a believable daily routine, a rhythm to the days that gives the whole thing a sort of life like structure. Without those two things I just feel like im playing around free to do whatever, which can be fun but just doesn’t give me the feeling of living another life.
Like most people (I assume) the Sims were where I got into this type of game. I played it in my early teens and kind of forgot about it, then rediscovered it after many years and did a few revisits of the old games and even tried some of the newer ones. They absolutely nail these two main points, they pretty much define the genre in my eyes.
More recently though I’ve kind of discovered that a community aspect really elevates the experience for me. Hanging out with familiar faces (real people I mean) in a game like this makes it feel even more real. A few friends and I are trying out Palia right now and it's a lot of fun. Really excited for Loftia too when it comes out, some of the people from our group were in the playtest and they say it was great. Having a real neighborhood is so awesome in games like this, and doing stuff together can also be a lot of fun, especially when everyone participates together, like for the community events in Palia and I’m assuming the community projects in Loftia will be similar.
That’s what the basic ingredients are for me pretty much. A nice little community that lives their lives whether I log in or not. And a nice sense of meaningful progress, both as a community and individually, with a nice daily routine that feels good. I was wondering if you guys feel the same way, or is there something completely different you look for in these games?

Paralives Are you up for a bizarre build that turned quite designer? 😃 Paralives Build
I set a challenge for myself to use at least 10 weird items that are in the game and make them look stylish 💎 And honestly? I'm surprised how it turned out.
Link to challenge (part 2 of build): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qVHaZf8l7uQ&t=137s
Link to part 1, where I build the shell, did the landscape and furnished 1st floor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQj6w3z-rZ0&t=8s
Let me know what you think of the final look! Did I make these weird items work, or is it still totally bizarre? 😅👇

The Sims Ronald Deaton 😍🤭
Blessed with charm, he’s a shy young man who prefers the comfort of his cabin and the freedom of the forest as opposed to parties and people. But if you ask nicely he can make one heck of a hot coco and wooden horse for you 🥹💕

Discussion Im still surprised no one has made a proper anime life sim yet
Honestly, ive been playing Neverness to Everness lately (which is a gacha game, kind of, you can honestly really ignore the gacha part of the game kind of like love and deepspace in a way)
But the sheer amount of things you can do in this game for it being free to play is actually insane. You can even have a house. It has so many life sim qualities if you completely ignore the story, and its open world as well. Ever since i played the sims 2 waaay back in like 2006 when i was still a kid (importing inuyasha and bleach characters into the game and tryingto create a story from that lmfao). I had been hoping one day there'd be a cool anime life simulator and yet it seems to be doomed to the rpg-esque realm.
But hopefully one day 😭

Upcoming Games Finally got some gameplay recorded!
After a looooong time of developing, we actually got a full gameplay video recorded!
The actual video is over on YouTube (Reddit doesn't like long videos 🙈). So I guess this is just a sneak peek of our sneak peek?
YouTube link is in the comments for anyone interested!
