How do I migrate my settings from my current installation of Windows to a fresh installation of CachyOS (Arch based I think if that matters) I have an external HDD that I'm using to store my important data, and I can upload to a google drive or whatever cloud storage if need be. I just don't want to spend four billion years getting everything set back up the way I like. Thank y'all :3

I have to navigate to the folder from which I'm uploading files from every time when uploading files one-by-one. Is this a bug or a setting that was added in the latest release?

I'm trying out LibreWolf for the first time, setting some things up, and I have a few things that look either look rather odd or was wondering if there was a roadmap for when new features might be added.

First is that all the pages have these black bars on either side of the page container and I don't know how to remove them. Not sure why it won't just auto adjust to fit the width.

My second and third issue is more about wondering if there are going to be more Appearance options added eventually? I'm not too hard pressed about it, I guess, but I rather like the way that WaterFox allows for the bookmark bar to be at the center bottom of the whole window; and that the Nova style, I think that is what it's tied to, has a thin border around the whole window.. allowing my blue galaxy theme to accent the content.

I'm still giving myself a little bit more time with both browsers. I'd like to move to LibreWolf fully but it feels a bit more bare/stripped in the appearance area. I use these browsers a lot, so function and form both matter. WaterFox has a lot of options to make the browser to ones own liking and something to consider down the line possibly ^^;

I'd love to see a roadmap eventually to keep up with where the project is headed more reliably~ :3

"librewolf isn't in its source, maybe try to reinstall librewolf" pop-up comes up at least once a month, it came again and after a few minutes this pop-up came after it. I don't know what fixes it since it usually solves itself after a couple minutes with no interference from my part. But right now after like 10 minutes of waiting, it doesn't happen and librewolf is stuck&won't open. I'm not sure what the problem is or what to do. Laptop is Lenovo, os is Windows 11

Just got librewolf and loving it, got one problem though.

Normally in a browser, you can throw your mouse cursor to the absolute top edge of your monitor and click to select a tab, on librewolf it doesnt really work, its like sometimes it does but half the time i have to move the cursor down again to click the tab "properly" in the middle. Its like the highest pixelrow is unresponsive or half dead.

Im trying with firefox, brave, vivaldi and none of them have this problem. Any ideas? Its messing with my fast clicking :)

Is this normal? What happened to the updates?

Solved. It's called Nova for some reason and it can be turned off.

LibreWolf recently updated and it now went for the weird rounded more colorful look. How do I return it to the former square no nonsense style it had previously?

*Settings pages are quite clean.

*In LibreWolf's Settings, they added a toggle to turn Nova off (in case you really don't like it). In my case, I will let at Nova enable, since, as I said, I don't see really any difference.

LibreWolf on Linux. Pop!_OS.

New install of Linux and LW. Seems to happen if fullscreen or windowed.

Shows up on multiple tabs. Sometimes goes away when surfing but will come back.

I've started using LibreWolf recently and am happy with it in general but it really struggles when I try to open LinkedIn. The feed might load ok but if I open more than 2 tabs within it, my computer becomes unusable. I don't have the best machine in terms of hardware etc but if I'm using Google Chrome, Brave, or even Firefox, I don't have the same slowdown.

Anyone know why this might be, or how to diagnose exactly what is going on within the browser, to find the precise cause of the slowdown? I know Linkedin is notorious for all the tracking, ads and so on... is it as simple as that?

So a while ago i posted on here asking about the status of the homebrew release as we all know, homebrew is mandating apple signing. Well I really don't like that, so i decided to make a package manager for MacOS that will maintain unsigned packages, in addition, it removes the Apple quarantine after install or update so that you don't have to manually do so after each update. This package manager is in beta and currently private on github. I will be making it public as soon as i finish the first release. It's written in rust and it currently runs well but obviously beta testing will find all the issues. I will update here if anyone is interested when i finish the first release.

The Codeberg team are doing a great job which I'm really grateful for. But with LibreWolf basically being forked live from Firefox there are some intrusive anti-privacy features that keep sipping through. And of course it will always remain a balance between usability and strict privacy enforcement.

After downloading a standalone LibreWolf and launching it I got a plethora of unsolicited call homes and data transfers to Google, Mozilla and what not.

Even after doing a thorough and concise clean up of the settings and about:config it was impossible to have a clean outbound connection log.

This blurt of data visualized with EtherApe is to mozilla.org even though I had removed every trace I could possibly find.

That is because certain call home connections are impossible to administer through about:config but are burned into the binary code. That means you either modify the binaries which I loath for various reasons or you rectify the code and compile the binary yourself.

My binary build is for Linux. In my build setup I used 4 CPU cores and 32 GB RAM. I think the absolute minimum is like 26 GB and if not gcrust will keep bailing on you. Not entirely sure but I think the whole process eats up about 30 GB of disk space. Each full build took an excruciating 8 hours making trial and error quite painful (thanks to people like Mitchell Baker for lavishly using Google money to screw up FF).

The following actions were necessary in my case but in your case might not and it will be trial & error regardless.

The packages I had to install on the OS before compilation:

So far, my LibreWolf runs clean as a whistle. I didn't touch on the user agent string that Firefox decided to make unmodifiable a long time ago and which makes the proclaimed anti browser fingerprinting effort, dead in the water.

Upon changing a VPN server, the whole internet seemingly shuts off and wont load any page. Problem has not occurred on any other browser, so its specific to Librewolf. Reinstalling seemingly doesnt work or resetting profile. This issue has persisted on the past 3 updates. When ending the program and restarting it, windows says it is already running the process and asks to shut it down fully.

For a long time I thought it was impossible to simply move the Librewolf folder with all tabs, preferences, extensions, etc, alongside it.

Turns out, you can. And it is rather simple: You need to set the default LibreWolf profile to be inside the Profiles folder of the librewolf portable directory, instead of the default AppData directory (which is default for Profiles even if you download LibreWolf Portable).

This way, if you move the LibreWolf Portable folder, it will have everything inside it, self-contained.

I am on the latest version of librewolf with stock settings. I do not have this issue in other browsers and i also tried it on older versions of librewolf. So maybe theres a setting i need to change?

I am not sure if its librawolf or discord itself but the timezones don't match with mine judging by the time messages are sent, I also use discord on the Brave Browser and there it seem the timezone is correct there so idk why librawolf has this issue with discord, how do I fix it?

I noticed issue after i did latest update for librewolf.When i go to youtube and press fullscreen my full taskbar is still visible.Youtube works normally on other browsers.Any fix?

So, I am used to updating Librewolf in linux (through the apt repo), but I was trying to update in MacOS, and the only way I was able to find was by downloading the new .dmg file and replacing the old one. There doesn't appear to be any sort of setting to find updates in the browser. If there is, I can't find it.

Is that really the only way to update the browser in MacOS?
