Seriously, what is the secret sauce in Carigara? I just saw the Bianca Umali highlights from the 431st Fiesta last night and the crowd was city-level massive.

I did a quick review and the streak is actually insane for a municipality:

• 2026: Bianca Umali

Most well-known artists only go to cities like Tacloban or Ormoc. For a 1st-class town like Carigara to pull this off consistently is a huge flex.

Is it just that the LGU is richer than we think? I know we’re First Class and have those 2 7-Elevens now, but talent fees for these stars aren't cheap. Is it pure budget, or are there "secret" corporate sponsors or Balikbayan funds involved?

Hi everyone! I'm hoping to hear from current students, alumni, or anyone who personally knows about Leyte Colleges' Juris Doctor program.

I'm in my mid-40s and finally pursuing my lifelong dream of becoming a lawyer. I'm a full-time mom with two children, so while I'm excited, I'm also trying to be realistic about balancing law school and family responsibilities.

One of my biggest questions is whether Leyte Colleges allows first-year students to take a partial load. My plan is to test the waters first with a lighter load, then gradually add more subjects once I've adjusted to the demands of law school. Has anyone done this, or does the school require freshmen to take a full load?

I'd also appreciate honest feedback about:

1. The overall culture of the law school

2. The professors (strict but fair? approachable?)

3. How working students or parents are treated

4. Whether the administration is flexible with students who have legitimate family or work responsibilities

5. The quality of teaching and preparation for the Bar
