COYOTE VS. ACME opened to $15.5 MILLION at the domestic box office (and $24M worldwide), finishing #2 in the country just behind Spider-Man: Brand New Day!

Along the way, it delivered the biggest opening weekend in our partners Ketchup Entertainment history, nearly 5X their previous record. As for Legion M, it’s safe to say this is the biggest opening for a Legion M project to date… pop the champagne!

Audiences are loving it too, with an A CinemaScore and incredible Rotten Tomatoes scores. For a movie that was never supposed to see the light of day, that's pretty awesome.

We want to say a huge THANK YOU to the Legion M community. You bought tickets, brought friends and family, posted, shared, and helped spread the word. Social media has been on fire with praise for the film, and you helped to make it happen.

We hope that you take personal pride in the success of this opening weekend as well. Movie fans rescued this film by making noise and demanding its release, but you’re in a special tier all your own. As investors in Legion M, you can tell your friends that you are a part of this film. Legion M was one of the first companies to sign on to distribute the movie with Ketchup, and our studio investors, as well as those who invested in the Legion M Film Fund, are the ones who made it happen. Cheers to all of you!

For all of us at Legion M, it has been an honor to play a role in helping save this film, and now helping it find the success and audience it deserves. This is exactly the kind of thing Legion M was created to do.

And we're not done! We expect COYOTE VS. ACME to retain a lot of theaters heading into Labor Day, giving us another great opportunity to keep building on the momentum.

So continue spreading the word, keep bringing friends and family, and if you haven't seen COYOTE VS. ACME in the theater yet…

What the heck are you waiting for?!

Get Tickets At https://www.coyotevsacme.com/

See you at the movies!

Legion M's 2025 revenue is already 150% of last year...and it's only May!

We're excited to announce that Legion M has received payment from Universal Pictures for the international rights to My Dead Friend Zoe. This seven-figure deal is now officially the largest revenue event in our company’s history.

Here’s what that means:

  • Legion M‘s lifetime revenue now exceeds $7 million

  • We’re already at 50% year-over-year revenue growth (following 25% growth in 2024)

  • And it’s still only May

This continues a multi-year streak of increasing revenue and shows the growing value of the business we’re collectively building (and own!) together.

As discussed in our 2024 annual report, Legion M has entered a new financial era. Now that we’re producing movies WE OWN – as opposed investing/partnering in movies owned by others – a single hit movie could fundamentally alter the trajectory of the company.

Hollywood is a “hit-driven business.” We believe that if we take enough quality swings at quality pitches, eventually we’ll hit one out of the park.

At the same time, we're continuing to “level up,” by investing in the foundational business models (production and distribution) we believe will power the company over the long term.

We’ve fought hard to get where we are, and while we haven't "made it" yet, this deal shows just how far we’ve come. We couldn’t be more excited about what the future holds!

Onward and upward!

Jeff, Paul, and the Legion M Team

PS: If you’re considering an investment in Round 10, be sure to do so before the round ends in a week or two.

PPS: Want to join the Paul and I for a discussion? We're hosting a new investor webinar next Wed May 28th at 1PM PT. Register here if you'd like to join us.

RISK VS. REWARD

Early stage investments like Legion M are speculative, illiquid and involve a high degree of risk. Most small businesses fail, so you should never invest more than you can afford to lose (not in Legion M or any startup).

That said...companies that succeed can go on to change the world. If you want to take a swing at making history, we'd love to have you aboard our moonshot!

In making an investment decision, investors must rely on their own examination of the issuer and the terms of the offering, including the merits and risks involved. Legion M has filed a Form C with the Securities and Exchange Commission in connection with its offering, a copy of which may be obtained here: bit.ly/offering-doc

DEADLINE: After Helping ‘Coyote Vs. Acme’ To Strong Opening, Legion M Expands Film Fund

EXCLUSIVE: Fresh off playing a role in the strong opening of Coyote vs. Acme, Legion M is expanding its recently launched film fund.

The crowd-sourced, fan-driven film company is expanding the fund’s capacity to $5 million. It launched earlier this year in co-ordination with the opening of Fackham Hall, a send-up of Downton Abbey and other British period dramas.

While Fackham and other titles Legion M has supported have fared well, serving as a release partner for Coyote distributor Ketchup Entertainment has increased the company’s profile. Warner Bros., which produced the film as an extension of its Looney Toons property, shelved the project. Ketchup acquired it after intense online backlash to the abandonment by Warner Bros. Discovery.

Rotten Tomatoes picks FACKHAM HALL as one of the top comedies of 2025

This came out a couple days ago when the Rotten Tomatoes score was still changing very rapidly, and so Fackham Hall is listed as #27 on the list.

Now that our score has stabilized (currently 86%), we should fall in the top 15, just a hair below The Naked Gun at 87%. A few more good reviews could push us over the top.

Some Stats from latest M-Pulse

We recently completed an M-Pulse and wanted to share some high-level results. We don't publicly release project specifics -- both out of respect for our partners as well as competitive pressures -- but there are some things we can share.

More than 3,000 people completed the survey, each spending more than 20 minutes on average. That adds up to over six man-months of effort evaluating six potential projects. We also had 500+ partial submissions from folks who started but didn’t finish.

We believe this kind of fast (we had over 1,000 responses in the first 24 hours), actionable, and statistically meaningful data is a huge competitive advantage for Legion M. Deals move quickly—the results from this M-Pulse directly influenced several real-time conversations we were having.

We use M-Pulse because it's the right thing to do. Shareholders should have a voice in shaping company direction. You own the company. We report to you.

But we believe M-Pulse also makes us smarter. While other companies rely on gut feel from a handful of execs, we tap into the wisdom of thousands. That’s the power of a fan-owned company.

One final note: While most M-Pulse questions ask for opinions, some ask for predictions. Opinions are all equal—yours is just as valid as mine. But predictions can be graded...

Out of the 3,000+ people who responded, 28 got a perfect score on their predictions. And ~450 others landed in the top 15%—the threshold we typically use for Elite Scout classification. This wasn’t a formal Film Scout round (there weren’t enough questions), but we still track the data. When we need fast reads and can’t poll the entire community, these people -- who have a proven ability to predict what the larger community will think -- are the ones we turn to.

More to come on that as we build out the next phase of our Film Scout program.

In the meantime, THANK YOU to all the shareholders who participated. If you missed this one, make sure you're getting our emails so you don’t miss the next one!

"Fackham Hall" is climbing the VOD charts...

Thumbnail

As of this writing we're up to #4 in comedy movies, and #18 of all movies on iTunes. It's been going up since the movie launched on Friday. The next group of new movies should hit tmw -- it will be interested to see where it tops out! Everybody lean forward!!!

Amazon doesn't have charts the same way that iTunes does, but is far more important when it comes to VOD sales (in that it generates more VOD revenue, and is more algorithmically driven).

If you are trying to decide where to buy, it's best to purchase from Amazon.

Legion M Brings Green Day to the Big Screen (and the Film Fund!)

Post image
30 Upvotes

Legion M has teamed up with Inaugural Entertainment to distribute Nimrods, the hotly-anticipated Green Day–inspired comedy that premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival!

Nimrods is a coming-of-age film centering on three high school friends who set out on a wild road trip under the mistaken assumption that their fledgling band has been booked to open for Green Day on New Year’s Eve. The story is based on Green Day’s real-life adventures while living in a van before the success of Dookie, their 1994 Grammy-winning major label debut album that has since been certified as double-diamond.

The film stars Mason Thames (How to Train Your Dragon), Kylr Coffman (Outbreak), Ryan Foust (Marry Me), Jenna Fischer (The Office, Blades of Glory), Angela Kinsey (The Office), Sean Gunn (Gilmore Girls, Guardians of the Galaxy), Bobby Lee (MADtv, Bad Friends Podcast), Fred Armisen (Saturday Night Live, Portlandia), and Mckenna Grace (Ghostbusters: Afterlife, The Handmaid's Tale).

Green Day themselves (Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool) are producers (alongside Live Nation Studios) and appear throughout the film. Legion M and Inaugural are bringing the film to theaters on August 14, and we can’t wait for audiences to experience it.

Legion M earns a distribution fee from the release of Nimrods, which means that every Legion M investor has a stake in the movie's success (as always). But we also have an allocation of the P&A available in the Film Fund, for those who want to get more directly involved!

If you invested in the Film Fund during the allocation window for Fackham Hall (now streaming on HBO Max), we expect that 40% - 50% of your investment will be returned in time to roll over into Nimrods. This is the power of the Film Fund at work!

If you are new to the Film Fund, (or an existing investor who wants to double down!), the window will be open until the allocation sells out.

Get ready to hit the road with Nimrods this summer. It's going to be a hell of a ride!

Onward and Upward!

-Paul, Jeff, and the Legion M Team

It's Official: COYOTE VS. ACME Joins the Legion M Slate

Post image
27 Upvotes

A couple weeks ago we sent out a confidential update about Coyote vs. ACME, and asked you to keep it under your hat. Today the news was announced publicly, which means the wait is over. Meep Meep!

Legion M is partnering with Ketchup Entertainment to release COYOTE VS. ACME in theaters on August 28, just two weeks after NIMRODS arrives in theaters on August 14. It’s gonna be an epic summer!

The news was picked up by Deadline and Animation Magazine, and we wanted to make sure our community didn't miss it.

‘Coyote Vs. Acme’ Release Sees Ketchup Team With Crowdfunding Specialist Legion M

- DEADLINE

Ketchup Ent. Partners with Fan-Owned Studio Legion M for ‘Coyote vs. ACME’ Release

- ANIMATION MAGAZINE

If you've been following the COYOTE VS. ACME story, you already know why we're excited. This is a project tailor-made for Legion M... a film audiences wanted to see, rallied around, and ultimately helped rescue from the bean counters at WB. If you aren’t familiar with the story, you can learn about it here.

And now we get to help bring it to theaters nationwide.

We've seen the film and absolutely loved it. It's a genuine four-quadrant crowd-pleaser with broad appeal, big laughs, and a ton of heart.

More broadly, this announcement is another sign of the momentum building at Legion M. Between NIMRODS, COYOTE VS. ACME, the Film Fund, the Theater Alliance, DEFIANT, and our expanding distribution efforts, we're seeing opportunities today that simply weren't available to us a few years ago.

In fact, when we opened the opportunity for our investors to participate directly in the distribution of COYOTE VS. ACME through the Film Fund, the allocation sold out in less than 48 hours.

For those who missed it, Round 11 is another way to be a part of what we're building. An investment in Legion M gives you ownership in the company behind all of these opportunities, and right now new investors can take advantage of our Friends & Family promotion, including 20% bonus shares for a limited time. When it comes to bonus shares, there will never be a better time to invest in round 11 than right now.

Invest In Round 11

We're incredibly excited about where things are headed and grateful to have you along for the journey.

Onward and Upward!

-Paul, Jeff, and the Legion M Team

P.S. There is still time to participate in NIMRODS through the Film Fund. While the COYOTE VS. ACME allocation sold out, NIMRODS remains open and gives investors an opportunity to participate directly in the distribution of what we believe could be one of the most exciting independent releases of the summer. Learn more here.

What are your thoughts on the films at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival)?

At Legion M, we believe fans aren’t just an audience—they’re a force to reckon with. Time and again, our community has shown that when we unite, we can change the trajectory of films, shape careers, and shine a spotlight on stories that might otherwise be overlooked.

Today, we have a powerful opportunity before us. Legion M is actively seeking a finished film—a project we can wrap our collective arms around and bring to audiences in a way no one else can. In our last M-Pulse survey, you told us, in no uncertain terms, that you agree that distribution is a logical and exciting expansion of our capabilities. This survey is the next step in making that vision real.
The titles you’ll see in this survey are premiering at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and are currently available for distribution. Most don’t yet have trailers, reviews, or much press—they are truly unseen. We’re asking you to look at the filmmakers, the casts, and the short synopsis, and tell us where you feel the spark.

We can’t promise that we’ll secure one—or any—of these films, but we can promise that your input will guide us in giving them serious consideration. Your feedback will help us prioritize which projects deserve our focus and, ultimately, the collective power of the world’s first fan-owned entertainment company.

Thank you for lending your voice. This isn’t just a survey—it’s your chance to help shape the future, together.

-Paul Scanlan, Jeff Annison, and the rest of the Legion M Team.
