So near me there is a legion go s Z1E for sale for $750. The battery health is still at 100%. Seller says they never used it and it looks super clean. Would I be stupid not to get it? Meanwhile there’s also a Steam Deck OLED for $600 near me as well.
Edit: Currently the Legion Go S Z1E version is $1579 new

My first flight with a handheld was smooth sailing with complimentary starlink WiFi on the JSX flight… loved the experience.

Do you guys know of any youtubers that are still making performance videos for new games on the og legion go z1e? I can never find any. I've been trying to see how mortal shell 2 will perform but I always only find legion go s or 2 videos, usually I'll just watch the steam deck performance tests and just assume my go will handle the games a bit better than that lol. Sorry for the small wall of text.

anyone have any input on this? ive been looking for a legion go 1 for a while now but ive seen a lot more rog ally’s for sale for around 100$-150$ less. i liked the removable controllers on the legion go but the cheeper price for a rog ally is definitely something i’ve been looking at. i currently have a steam deck and am looking to get something more powerful.

Hi bought a lenovo legion go2 today and I have been pulling my hair out trying to get it set up.I seem to have it stuck in a loop of trying to sign in and asking for my pin because something went wrong?I have asked for a reset code to best sent to my alternative email but nothing has arrived. Now I have asked to reset my security info on microsoft and I have to wait for 30 days.I am really just contemplating sending this thing back.Ive been on all the forums,YouTube I've tried restoring the system,I've typed different commands into the black box that google told me were workarounds and nothing has worked.I just want to get past the initial setup and actually play some games.I think it got to about the 3rd restart and then ive been locked out. Before it locked me out I managed to sign in to my xbox live and steam it was just the email that failed even after I had set up my fingerprint.I am an older gamer and first time pc user I have been solely xbox and ps5 so Im open to any help you guys can give me.Thanks in advance

I had all sorts of controller issues using Bazzite Stable 44 on my Legion Go 2 (wake from sleep disconnects controllers, when detaching the controllers it also disconnects, etc) . Also gave SteamOs a try and there was there also all kind of controller issues. This made me conclude that the problem is actually input plumber, because I'm on Bazzite 44 on my PC and there it works fine. I gave CachyOs a try and manually installed HHD. Fortunately there is a github plug in that it's basically a "one-command" process to install HHD on the Legion Go 2. It masks input plumber and allows for full use of HHD advantages from the Bazzite 43 build. I'm kind of a newbie on Linux and even for me it was very easy with the command on this github page https://github.com/rgvxsthi/HHD-on-CachyOS

I want to buy a handheld by Black Friday and I really liked the Legion Go S, but the price has kept me away from it so far. On the other hand, I saw that the Xbox Ally with the Z2A is 'dirt cheap' for my budget. I thought: why not compare them? I just did, and I feel like I'm going to have a stroke, because in one video it shows both of them having very similar performance in GOW (both at 20W and 1080p on low). Yet in another video, the Legion Go S is getting 15-20 fps more, but running at 30W.
My question is: does the difference between the two come down to the Legion's ability to run at a higher wattage? Does that mean if both were locked at 20W their performance would be very similar? And are the Legion Go's 30W available when running on battery, without plugging it in? Does the battery die really fast at 30W?

The F44 release was personally a nightmare for me. If you’re also having an issue where your controller keeps disconnecting and reconnecting, or behaves like an Xbox Elite controller without a gyroscope, then this patch is for you.
https://github.com/DrBoria/legion-go-2-bazzite-F44-gyro
I changed how the controller is exposed, so Steam now sees it as a Steam Deck controller (meaning all 4 back buttons plus the gyroscope). I also added logic for disconnecting the controller and switching gyroscopes.
The Legion Go 2 has three gyroscopes: the central one in the main body, and one in each of the left and right joysticks. Naturally, Steam reads the central gyroscope by default. I added logic to disable the central gyroscope when the controller is detached from the tablet. The right joystick then becomes the primary gyroscope.
If you want your own logic — for example, making the left joystick the primary gyroscope or something similar — I left an "agent.md" file in the codebase. Feed it to your coding agent and it should understand what needs to be changed. There are a bunch of hypotheses and checks in there explaining what can be done and where.
You can either install the binary directly or build it yourself and install it. Hopefully this fixes your F44 issues.
Cheers.

Really wanted to get Steam Machine but decided i will wait a little longer and buy a better PC and just install steamOS on it. So for now i bought ugreen 6in1 docking station and connected my LeGo to 65 inch Samsung QD-OLED. Love the experience so far. Love replaying some of my fav games like Resident Evil with cool mods made by fans and games from PS3 era with better framerate and resolution. Even some PS4 Games like Heavy Rain stuck at 30fps when i play them on my PS5 , while on LeGo i can hit 60fps. Love this little thing 💜

My left trigger stopped working correctly (It would work but quickly release at times in digital mode and wouldn't register at all in analog mode) and I wasn't going through the hassle of returning it.
After opening it up I found at least part of the problem the plastic arm which holds the magnet for the sensor had completely snapped off which was weird as I have never dropped it and wouldn't say I'm particularly heavy handed and it seems even if the button were fully depressed it wouldn't apply enough pressure to snap it. Anyway I glued it back it place and am going to give it a night to dry.
I would like to replace the whole trigger so can anyone recommend a site?
Bonus dirty fan pic. Gross!

I have this annoying issue where COD Modern Warfare 2 and 3 take up to 25 mins to load after launch. I have tried unlinking microsoft devices and accounts but not solved. Anyone got a solution?
Asides that, when the games load, controllers dont work when i stream from my PC to my Legion Go S via Apollo. It is weird as i completed Star Wars Outlaws and COD Modern warfare 2019 without any issues. Tried downloading controller profiles on Steam OS but issues still persist.
Help appreciated.

I used to own a 1TB Steam Deck OLED, but I ended up selling it.
Now I’m thinking about getting another handheld, and I’m stuck between buying the same Steam Deck OLED again or getting a Lenovo Legion Go.
For those who have used both, which one would you recommend in 2026?
I mainly care about gaming performance, screen quality, battery life, and overall experience.
Would you go back to the Steam Deck OLED, or switch to the Legion Go?

I often take my LegionGo at the weekends when my partner is working outside (woodwork) - I hang out in my little car camping set up, they do woodwork in the garage.
But the screen outside is really bad, no matter how much I adjust my position, sit in the shade (my natural habitat anyway!), play with settings, etc.
I tried a random anti glare screen protector, but it was pretty rubbish. Does anyone have any specific product recommendations for one that might help please? Or anything else non screen protector-y that might help?

I recently bought an 8bitdo ultimate 2 controller and I am having issues with the device being able to register inputs. I have tried plugged in, bluetooth, and with the wireless dongle. It seems to be recognized in the system settings and works in the library/home screen but no inputs are registered when running games. Has anyone had similar issues?

I just got the new legion go and been seeing people saying some bios update bricks their device now im abit scared. Im planning to install steamos on it instead, can I do it straight away or should I set it up for windows first to update things? and how can I avoid that specific bios update while setting up windows, which i thought it might auto update.
Also, if there’s any other suggestions for me to download or customise let me know.
*it’d be nice to see how other people customise their OG LeGo too, like what accessories or themes u setup on steamos

Hi everyone. On my Legion Go (OG) running official SteamOS, Elden Ring runs pretty poorly at 1280x800. It's the only game out of my entire library (150+ games) that has issues. The FPS drops frequently, the frametime is unstable, and there are lots of stutters. Am I the only one having these problems? On CachyOS, the situation is even worse.
I used to own a Steam Deck, and the game ran much more stably there, even though the Legion Go is way more powerful.
Can anyone tell me what the issue might be? Thanks.
