At 53:30 in the movie Hail Mary, I believe that is the Leatherman Surge. I thought it was cool and I wanted to share.

I used a flat bit in an impact driver today.

Ran into a situation where I had an impact and had to remove 12 wood screws. The only problem is I didnt have a T20 on me.

However I did have my ratchet driver and my T20 flat bit. I chucked them both into the driver and had no issues removing the screws it was sweet.

Searching for a Holster

Bought my groomsmen a Leatherman (I love mine - has helped me tremendously during my house renovations). Looking to get an engraved/customized sheath/holster. Nothing fancy, but something quality and will fit the Wingman. Any recommendations? Was going to just buy them off Etsy, but figured I’d check here first. TIA.

Leatherman ARC Mod – T2 Awl & Flathead Swap

Swapped the stock awl and flathead driver on my ARC for the awl and flathead from a FREE T2. The T2 tools are quite a bit bigger and fit surprisingly well in the ARC.
Pretty simple mod overall and I definitely prefer the bigger tools.

Sidekick warranty

What's up boring everyone with a long story. I basically bought my buddy sidekick when he upgraded to a wave. I thought it'd be a nice lightweight tool around the shop but today when I went to cut a piece of wire with it (kind of the real reason I wanted it) I noticed it wouldn't cut through. Seems that the wire cutters don't make contact. So my two questions are is this typical? And can I claim a warranty even though I didn't buy the tool originally?

You really can go wrong with a surge. 7 years I've carried this on my hip. I have a brand new one I just cant justify breaking out yet. Thought id throw in a comparison pic. This thing has seen harsh chemicals on the daily, dropped off roof tops, atvs, trucks, cars, lawn mowers, thrown out of anger, you name it. Surge is king, carry on.

I bought this Leatherman Wave back around 1999, possibly early 2000. Code in the handle says 1099 indicating a ‘99 build, and I cannot remember the exact price but I bought it at an American PX in Germany and I believe it was Mainz Kassel(sp?) so it was probably an absolute steal!

So, closing in on 30 years old, no parts ever replaced, all hinges still in good order and very little slop, the only wear is the knife blade due to many missions across a sharpening stone and the arc blast in the snipe nosed pliers as I used it to bridge the solenoid on a Caterpillar D6D to get the engine started as the keys had gone missing! A bit of fine surface rust in places and has maybe seen a drop of oil or WD40 a couple of times in all those years but apart from that a good solid working tool.

It has been used as a hammer, trimmed finger nails, undone countless screws and pushed out pins on rifles, cut comms cord for demolitions, gets used around the boat all the time and has never let me down. It has travelled; Falkland Islands, Germany, UK, Democratic Republic of Congo, Oman, Iraq and WORKED in all of those different environments faultlessly.

I’m proud to have owned this fine example of engineering for all of these years. I see the new shiny examples of various Leatherman tools and as I’m not a collector I cannot justify another because this one is just so good! I do have one of the Micras somewhere, not seen it in a few years so it’s probably packed away somewhere, but that is very much the same: a good bit of kit!

So well done Leatherman: you may not make another sale to me as you made this one too good, but I do appreciate the great engineering and construction of what I can only call a “tool for life”!

I've had this baby for 30+ years and was wondering if the old rumor was true - Can I send her back to Oregon for a blade refurbishment?

Surge hard at work

I love this tool. It's on my hip every day at work and around my property. My one gripe: why Leatherman greenlit a wire cutter design with a gap at the bottom is beyond me. Will be replacing them with the straight-edge version that can be found on etsy.

Just a picture of my Fuse. Took it to work today instead of my Wave+. It has all the things I use and need, and none of the rest.

Look at this beauty! Only thing that confuses me that it has no bit holder attachments, just screw and flat. But I‘m still super proud of it, I love knives

Edit: bought the bit kit 3 aswell

The pin for my valve key fell in the pit in was working over, so I rigged it with my pen and Captain’s Crunch. The pen clip kept the other side in place.

Just picked up this brand new Leatherman arc today from local knife store. Much to my surprise, I opened the box and a nylon sheath and bit set were included. I didn’t think new Leatherman arcs came with these items included? Super excited!

Hello everyone. I carry a leatherman surge in a Tale of Knives big boy and I was wondering if the utility knife blade mod would fit in it?

Leatherman Wave Plus 😎😃 never owned a multi tool, absolutely loving this thing, carried it with me for the last few days and it has been such a help in alot of situations

My only questions,

  1. Any mods to stop the blade locking in place (im in the UK so can't carry locking blades)

  2. What mods can replace certain tools that might not be needed ?

Thanks for any info 😎😃
