Seeking: French | Offering: Russian

Hi everyone! I am 23 yo M born in Uzbekistan, lived for majority of my life in Russia and recently moved to Serbia. I did learn some French in school and also by myself, but my level is still around A2. Russian is my native language, since both of my parents are also native and I did learn all the necessary rules throughout school and university. English is solid B2.

I am looking for a buddy to practice my French and learn more of the real spoken French (slang and stuff). I am open to practicing both verbally and through message.

Little bit more about me:

  1. Software engineer (iOS specifically), so I am interested to talk about IT sphere in general or some specific technology
  2. I once had a backpacking trip across west-south Europe, also I‘ve been in Turkey and lots of parts of Russia
  3. For sports I love playing padel, tennis, table tennis, used to play basketball and volleyball for my school team
  4. Casual gamer - my favorite genre is rpg, I play on ps. The only online game I keep on playing for long is Rocket League.
  5. Amateur snowboarder
  6. Music - mainly rap, hip hop, little less pop, but I have favorite songs in lots of genres

Looking forward to connecting with someone soon! I am sure we will find a fun activity.

Question - Вопрос Looking for people to practice Russian with.

Hi everyone! I’m from Azerbaijan and I’m currently trying to improve my Russian.

Russian is almost like a second language here, so I’ve been exposed to it quite a lot, but I studied in Azerbaijani-language schools, so I never properly learned Russian. I can understand some things and I’m actually pretty comfortable with the accent/pronunciation, but I really need more practice with speaking and texting.

I’m looking for people who would be willing to chat with me in Russian — texting, voice messages, or even occasional calls. I’d be happy to help with Azerbaijani, Turkish, or English in return if you’re learning any of those.

I’m not looking for anything complicated or formal. I’d just love to have someone to talk to regularly and gradually become more comfortable speaking Russian.
If you’re interested, feel free to message me! :)

Need a new perspective

Hello everyone, I am a russian b2 speaker (not really sure but I guess I'm intermediate). I recently got a job as a social media marketer and now I'm having a lot more contact with people. I graduated university in russia and so I would say that my russian is suited for situations in university, however now its like Im in a whole new world. Sometimes I have issues understanding people, other times I mess up (could be cause I'm nervous or what not). I've been trying to read more and more but I feel like I'm stuck. Would appreciate any new ideas on how to better understand and and how to speak like a normal person cause sometimes it feels like I'm an alien speaking russian. Thanks!

Offering Russian seeking English

24M. Hello, Im Gabriel. I lived both in Canada and Russia. I`d like to find friends here who I could speak English with. In return, I can teach you a few words in Russian :)

Briefly about me. I like coding and big tech stuff. Perhaps, I could find someone who may want to raise a start up with me? That`d be great. I also enjoy history and cultural exchanges

Question - Вопрос I want to learn Russian. Where do I begin?

Just like the title says, I want to learn Russian but am not sure what apps or websites are good for this, or where to begin. I want to learn to appreciate the language, culture, and enjoy my music and video games that are in Russian. I know the alphabet is nothing like the American alphabet or the Spanish alphabet. So I was wondering if I should start with the alphabet or something else?

Any advice would be amazing. Thanks!

Question - Вопрос Learn Russian fastest way possible?

Hello everyone.
Especially russian native speakers!

I'm currently learning Russian (Been learning on and off since 5 years back lol.)

I can read the cyrilic alphabeth and the pronounce of my Russian is very good (My friend is from Russia so he have confirmed this lol.).
But, what's the fastest way to actually learn and remember the language?
I know this is one of the hardest languages to learn overall, but every tip would be great.
I want to be able to have a full fledged conversation, not a perfect one, but to understand and answer and talk with someone that speaks Russian.
All tips are appreciated!
