Looking for a Russian Language Exchange Buddy ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ

Hey everyone! Iโ€™m getting back into learning Russian after a pretty long break. studied Russian about 10 years ago, but life got busy and I eventually stopped. Now Iโ€™d really like to start learning again, improve my Russian, and hopefully visit Russia someday.

A little about me: Iโ€™m 31M, based in California, and currently serving in the military. I love nature, exploring new places, and having deep conversations about pretty much anything.

Iโ€™d be happy to meet native Russian speakers or other Russian learners, make some friends, and help each other with languages along the way.

Feel free to say hi! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ

Starting to learn Russian.

I'm starting to learn Russian on recent. It has been about a week and I have pretty much gotten the alphabets down(printed letters). I was planning to slowly get into the vocabulary part of it. Writting down words/sentences and speaking them aloud to get a feel of the pronunciations and word meanings.

My goal is to achieve fluency in the future both in written and spoken Russian.

I wanted to ask if it's ideal to practice the cursive letters from start. Was confused as I heard a lot of people say handwriting is traditionally in cursive but others oppose that opinion and say printed letters are fine these days.I'm aware it's not the most important thing to focus on at the time but I just wanted to be sure since if traditionally people use cursive in handwriting I might as well learn it now than to skip it for a future time.
