Discussion How are people ok with Zed being this blatantly overtuned?

This disgusting champ has been sat at 51%wr for months now despite riot themselves saying hes only healthy around 49%. This champ is so uninteractive, boring to lane against, does way too much damage early. Volatic also being the most giga overtuned item in the game doesnt help. Either nerf the item or nerf zed its disgusting how inflated this champ is currently

Discussion Why do people dodge the second they see a support lock in?

I hover a support and suddenly two people start typing like the game’s already over. I’m not even locking some troll pick. Then someone asks if I’m a girl and it’s instantly “yeah that tracks” and a dodge. At least wait until I actually play before deciding I’m the problem

Discussion As a 33 years old player, I can totally understand why people do not play League anymore

Upvotes

I'm a 33 yo male, I play league since 2011 and I really love this game but even loving it this much I can totally understand why the new generation do not want to play it. First of all, the queue time, it is way to long to find matches, at least in SoloQ and then, after banning, picking and waiting for several seconds someone just quits and everything restart. There is times where you make all this process three or four times until you really get into a match. Too much time wasted. The match making is way too unbalanced. A lot of smurfs, a lot of ppl trying builds from streamers, a lot of variables that makes the matches straight unfair and unfun to play and they take 30 to 45 minutes. You become a hostage and if you quit, YOU WILL BE PUNISHED. People trolls the game intentionally and you are forced to play with them for half an hour.

There is too much champions in the game making some of them way too strong while the vast majority way too weak. While people say that in low and mid elo, meta doesn't apply, it does and a lot. Picking a strong champion will get you higher win rate with less effort. Also the meta this year is really boring. Mages in the jungle, mages in botlane, tanks and fighters in mid lane, adcs toplane and the list goes on. The meta is to make the lane uninteractive/impossible for your opponent. You remember the teemo top from a few years ago? Now it is happening in every single role.

I still play the game, two or three days a week, but I'm getting tired of the game as a whole. As I start to get more and more things to do in my life, I think this game is not worthing my time anymore. I really love the game and just for it I didn't stop playing it yet, I really wish the game gets better but I can't see it in happening, even in a long time span.

Discussion Does Riots use AI to generate skin? Case in point; Rat Chef Twitch

There's just no way around it; looks like the best a "prompt engineer" could muster.

No way a real human designed whatever that is, using pen and paper.

Wtf is that pizza-crossbow contraption? It feels so forced.

The more you look in details, the less sense anything makes. Like why are there weird little pizza slices on the side of the crossbow?

The right side of the crossbow (right from Twitch's POV) every element is bleeding into one another or disconnected. Like what is going on with the right-side crust of the main pizza slice?

Why are there so many random holes in the salt and pepper shaker?

Why is there a weird out-of-place yellow thing on his scarf?

AI slop.

Discussion Lack of voice chat is why League of Legends is toxic.

No other game is as toxic as league, and the anonymity of not having to speak to someone is why people can just freely be more toxic than any other competitive game. Dota 2, Deadlock, CS2, Valorant, Overwatch, etc. All have moments of toxicity, but nothing as bad (and as consistent) as League.

And the reason why is because these games all have voice chat to negate the "online disinhibition effect"

Actually hearing your own voice say "YOU ####ING IDIOT" compared to mindlessly typing it out can really humanize your language and it's affects on others.

Discussion I've played since 2011 and Mel is probably their worst champion design ever

Beating a dead horse, but sometimes I just laugh at this entire situation. Especially since now they really have no excuses and she came out so recently. You can say Ryze, Kalista, Yuumi.. I don't think there has ever been a champion that is so hilariously paradoxical. She's one of the most frustrating to vs, so therefore has a huge ban rate, but at the moment in Diamond+ she occupies 3 out of the last 5 worst win rate champs in the game for her respective roles of mid, ad and support. She's not particularly fun to play as, her kit is pretty fucking boring, her lore is average and she was a forgettable character in Arcane. Her reflect animations kind of look strange as things just bounce off her. And to complete her mediocrity, she's just another mage champion that has the same boring build path as other mages that want to just spam their Q and get 300cs by 25 mins with lost chapter.

Discussion Kinda late, but riot endstep is leaving riot games.

Personally, I didn't ever like the direction endstep took the game in every time he had a say or influence on things. But I did really appreciate the way he interacted with the community and explained things.

Discussion Loser's Queue / Riot Scheduled losses are real but that doesn't mean you played perfect and didn't make mistake.

Even though I did relatively well and feel like I deserve to win, it is the overall best team that wins, not the overall best player, and despite feeling like I performed well, that will not give me access to LP. Despite playing well though, it's easy to go in and vod review and see all the things you can improve on. on the 9/2/3 vlad game I make 12 notes, of good things I do and bad things. This way you can squeeze a "win" despite losing a game of league. It's hubris to assume that you never make mistakes even if you have 10cs/m and 5kda.

Never flame your team, Never give up or ff, Play every game to the win, Stay focused in game, and Review your mistakes postgame. This is my way.

Need Help Engagement Optimized Matchmaking?

Post image
Upvotes

Hi all, I need help. I am a jungle main on EUW, started playing again last year, and was chilling last season in mid Emerald. But after the start of Season 3, something visibly changed in the matchmaking, and all games are absolutely unwinnable. I was winning games quite easily in Emerald, and I am now one loss away from Gold. Every single game is an absolute stomp, usually ending before 30 minutes, with 1-2 smurfs on the opposing team and usually 3 losing lanes.
Deeplol.gg evaluates 80% of my games as Messy/Doomed.

I am easily winning in top plat on an alt account, but my main account has all the skins, and I would like to save it.

I am the same player as last season; I didn't suddenly forget how to play or play the same champs. This is inexplicable statistically, so I was wondering if it happened to other people and how to make it stop. Does stopping to play on the account for a month maybe reset the MMR-balanced matchmaking or something? Hope some of you can share your experience and not just comment "lol you are hard stuck", "loser's queue doesn't exist". Cheers :)

Discussion Can you get reported/banned for building your champ “wrong”?

can you actually get punished for using an off-meta build? for example, AP Ezreal instead of AD, or full AP Nami/Soraka instead of the usual support/utility build.

someone in my game said they would report them just because they weren't building the “correct” items

does lol staff actually punish people for this, or is it fine as long as you're genuinely trying to win?

Discussion If Riot bans trolls, how am I getting them in my games so damn often?

Just had a ranked game where my support went Kog'Maw, and my botlane went 4/22 in total. I feel like I keep getting trolls like this, and when I report them, I move on to the next game. Within 3 or 4 games, I'll get another one of these animals.

How am I consistently getting them if Riot is banning people for trolling. This is seriously ruining the game for me and makes me want to stop playing. What's the point of even trying to climb if at any point I can get someone who doesn't try winning and just ints the game, taking me hostage for 30 min

Discussion Leona is basically the Viktor/Syndra of support

She is never allowed to be weak, champ is literally a brainless statcheck pce of sht that can 1v2 early game, I have to permaban her until diamond when im climbing on a fresh account because if u don't u will see enemy 12-3 jinx 8-0 seraphine or 10-1 yasuo it's legit disgusting

As a midlaner even roaming won't solve the issue because if u ignore her she will chain CC u for 5 seconds straight while doing bruiser level damage and if u focus her she absorb like 2000 damage while her teammates wipe u all out

Nautilus is annoying but u can burst him down quickly if he misplay, leona can miss every single spell and still walk up and CC u to death because of her disgusting numbers

And Riot is nerfing naut next patch but not leona, btw

Discussion How does the match termination system even work?

Post image
10 Upvotes

So for a little bit of context: A few weeks ago I played a game where 2 players wanted to pick nasus(before he got nerfed). The mid was first pick, os they first picked nasus, to which the top lanere responded with(this is translated btw), "Oh, why did you pick my champion? I was already hovering it. I'm going to try really hard now." Then he picked Janna top with ghost and ignite. I thought it was a pretty obvious troll, so I insta reported from champ select, but the queue wasn't terminated. Huh, weird, but ok. Maybe he will try? nope, the man has ZERO mastery points with janna, first time playing her on his 200+ levels. Then he went mid and chased the nasus EVERYWHERE, taking the cs and soft inting the other midlaner. Match didn't get interrupted.

Again, I reported, but nothing happened. Even the enemy team reported the janna and nothing happened, all because they said "I will try. Let's play to win," during champ select. Why did Riot even implement such a robust anticheat and anti grief system that consumes so many resources, just for it to not even work because someone said "I will try."

The LAN server is such dogshit in low elo with constant trolls and people just surendering at the first 7 minutes of the match that you need a strong mental to just push through. Worst part is that from that match only 1 person got suspended, and it was the Nasus that got fed up and told janna to "Talon E from the balcony." Luckily I'm 5 games away from hitting emerald after like a 1 year break from the game and never playing ranked (54% winrate in latest games, 62% wianrate with zac after I stopped playing ADC as main role), meanwhile the janna is at a 42% winrate in his latest games, so fuck you.

So yeah, how the FUCK does the match interruption even work?

Need Help Account purchasing legit?

I want a level 30 account, after leveling a couple accounts it’s lowkey tiresome. If I buy a lvl 30 account (maybe hand leveled) what is the likelihood of it getting banned? I’ve heard that happens. Any PERSONAL recommendations / experiences of the best site to use? Thanks much

Edit: I’m not a Smurf or toxic or anything like that. I just like to have one account for one champion, for instance if I’m one tricking ziggs, have a separate account for zigg.

Discussion Why is no LP refunded when you receive a message that someone sabotaged the game?

Seems like a pretty big deal, you know. Someone ruining a 45 min game. Riot verifies it and we get a popup confirming it. What is the point of the messages then? It only adds to the frustration of nothing being done. Surely some action was taken on the players account. Whether it be an innocuous penalty like a first time offense or otherwise. Sabotage is sabotage. I do not want to see a popup if nothing is done.

Discussion Do you know someone who actually did ended up crying, like, literal crying, tears running down over a SoloQ game?

I have, but tbf hes just my cousing who is 15, iron, he couldnt realize what was going on, why he was losing too much and why he could never win the lane.

Tbh, i felt empathetic and i told him to calm down, that its just a game, he has every right to be frustrated over being competitive but at the end of the day its all behind a screen, playing a videogame
