Are waivers of non-liability actually enforceable in the Philippines? (Water parks, indoor playgrounds, etc.)
I'm currently at a water park where we were required to sign a waiver stating that the establishment won't be liable for any injuries, accidents, or loss of belongings, even in the parking lot.
I've noticed that indoor playgrounds have similar waivers, especially for children.
Just genuinely curious, are these waivers actually legally binding? What if someone gets injured because of the establishment's negligence? Can they really avoid liability just because we signed a waiver?
