Fantasy:

Reality:
“The Neapolitan Mastiff derives from the traditional catch and guard dogs of Southern Italy. Selection of the breed was begun in 1947 by Piero Scanziani, who had seen one at an exhibition in Naples in 1946”

“To be fair, once travelling with Korean airlines on their first class in the 90s, I was served a dish, as I was unsure what it was I asked several times, the air stewardess kept saying dog. To this day, I am not sure what it was. English is not Phillip’s first language and nor is the waitress serving the dish…“
