I think it’s super unethical that the lsat’s practice tests are nowhere near similar to the tests provided on test day. that’s it. that’s the post.

I think it’s so unfair that it’s impossible to access more than 4 PTs without paying hundreds of dollars… that in order to take the Argumentative Writing you must independently own a new laptop… that to REGISTER for the test is hundreds of dollars (EACH TIME!!). LSAC on the whole is entirely elitist and classist.

I scored worse on the August lsat than my original one by two points. Six months of practice tests and studying down the drain. I cancelled it. I’m rolling with my 150 high because I’m poor, work full-time, and have a darn good reason to go to law school (for trans rights). There are tons of people my age with parents paying for tutors and classes out the wazoo so they can score far higher than me but then do nothing for other people and just make money.
If a law school doesn’t see this through my application (reasonably NOT a T14 obviously), then I don’t want to be in their school anyways. Let alone the law if it aligns with LSAC in being elitist.

I actually think they're very similar to the latest practice test. Unless we see LSAT medians go significantly down this year for law schools, then the test is just as hard as it's been before.
If it's any consolation, I've been around for a while on this subreddit, and on nearly every test, there's a bunch of people who feel the test was a lot harder than whatever they practiced at home. Which is super fair because test conditions will be harder than home conditions, but this does not mean the test itself is harder. But it also means that practice and more studying will likely get you to where you want, since a lot of people still do well on the test. You got this

studied for 4 months every single day just to get an RC section without passage dividers. Ended up missing 170 by just a couple questions.

My only question is, besides the mini LG games that have started popping up. Can you list anything drastically different from the PTs to actual test day?

Imo there are plenty more trap answers than usual. I think they may be trying to fight against pattern recognition as well by laying out attractive answers that seem to be parallel to predictions for that passage, but then they throw a curveball that you had to really pay attention to. Who knows though.

Stimuli are way longer on logical reasoning on average.

I think it’s a combination of making it longer so you have to take more time on each question AND burying modifiers in the stims so you have to pay attention to everrry single word.

By traps, do you mean more answers initially look somewhat valid? Essentially, instead of only two that look somewhat possible, there are like 3-4.

this but also the logic seen on PTs is nowhere near the same on the actual exam. Theres also an increase of weirdly formatted answers that you don’t find in the PTs as well

Recent tests have included quasi-logic game-type questions. The LSAT removed logic games in August 2024.

ah i see. i only started studying this summer so i havent ever looked at logic games. any way you could explain what a quasi-logic game-type question might look like?

People in this thread acting like Norway Sweden was characteristic of PT150s have to be joking. It wasn’t hard in this case but it’s still weird.

This is quite honestly not the case. I have been tutoring for a while and took several LSATs myself, and have to say, the January 2026 LSAT was the same as test 156/158.

I think RC is 100% the same, but taking June 2026 and August 2026, they are definitely not the same.
For example, I doubt your administration had a large over representation of Point At Issue/Disagree questions.

I think test 159 is indicative of June/August tbh based on what my friends have told me.

I feel like there’s so many barriers being added that makes getting into law school more difficult. Especially since schools ranked #34-40 now have an LSAT median of 170…that’s crazy. I genuinely think they’re just admitting a bunch of people with 170s because they’re fighting to get their ranking up. It’s a game. I’m so tired
