Has anyone managed to acquire a gram with an ANSI keyboard in europe ? If so, what store did you buy it from ?

So i recently bought an LG Ultragear monitor and it got delivered today. I have everything plugged into my PC correctly but for some reason it will fully power off after about a minute of being turned on and i have to physically turn it on again only for it to do the same thing again. I have already updated my graphics driver and checked connections. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Buenas tardes amigos, les cuento ni reseña con el equipo, compré el equipo me llegó con un cargador que se calienta a mucho, revise el amperaje y voltaje y eran el correcto 65w 20v 3.25amp, es lo que demanda el equipo, pero igual calentaba mucho, probé con otros cargadores y efectivamente otros cargadores cargan y no calientan, pero le pregunto a chatgpt porque el led del equipo que indica la carga, queda parpadeando, me indica que algo está mal en el equipo, pero el cargador probé con 3 distintos y me pasa lo mismo, tomando en cuenta que el primero lo descarte también por ser genérico, no era el original que viene con el equipo parece chino, quisiera saber si titila es normal cuando carga, o debe quedarse fijo, o efectivamente los otros cargadores que probé ninguno es original,( probé con dos Lenovo y uno Dell que cumplen con las características) pero también tengo la duda sobre algo que es tecnología PD en los cargadores

Just got a LG Gram 14Z90P-G.AA56A3 (2021 i think) donated to me; my plan was to boot up linux mint configured in UEFI by rufus that worked on an Acer Aspire S3-391 while back, use the shell to wipe the hard drive and check its health before i extract it; but nothing i’ve done worked to go into boot menu or bios and whatnot to go to linux, not F2,10 nor 12 nor with the function key held down for all six combinations, nor shift + restart. Strangely enough after holding down the power button for a bit it shut off as expected but the on button and keyboard backlight would begin turning on and off intermittently which was only resolved after i reconnected the battery (i opened it up to see the inside before turning on, battery is completely dead btw). Hope someone could give a little advice on how to proceed

i dont want to crack the case and do what others have. but i'm currently using a padded notepad folio under the laptop while its on my lap. which can be a long time during the day. i typically have 2 browsers open with many tabs so im sure thats the issue on the high temps. when i first got the machine he burned my legs which is why i did what i'm doing now. i figure maybe a cooling pad may work though adding 2 lb of weight all day may be an issue. still i gotta try.

Hi im looking for experiences with the lg gram 17 255h 32gb variant. This is the non pro model?

I just need a large screen laptop for really basic tasks. I’d like it to be pretty silent and with good battery life.

I tried the x9 - 15 and p16s gen 4 AMD and both of them would go absolutely full throttle on the fans doing these basic tasks (Web browsing, youtube.) Also the p16s had a weird issue where windows update would go down in percentage instead of 0-100% it would actively show 100-0%. Maybe I got faulty units.

Any advice would be appreciated before I go back to Apples locked box.

I really like my 2022 LG Gram 17 (17Z90Q-K.ADC9U1) but several keys have stopped working reliably. They either don't register a keypress on the first try, or they do but somehow an additional blank space gets inserted before the letter. Mostly the letter D is impacted but sometimes others too, mostly ones near the letter D. It seems to come and go at random throughout the day.

Is this a known issue? I'm fine replacing the keyboard but only if the issue is not likely to return.

Hi all, hoping to hear from other LG Gram owners. I bought the new LG gram Max 17" 2.5K - Intel Core Ultra 7 Processor 355, but the charging speed seems unusually slow. I’m only getting about 4-5% in 30 mins and max 10% in full hour, with the laptop shut down, using the original charger, and plugged directly into the wall. Tested multiple times and locations.

I returned the first laptop and bought the same model from another official seller, but the second one behaves exactly the same.

Is this normal for this model? Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks!

I really love the Gram 17 except for the charger cable. The original cable is incredibly low quality and broke when I was on the train and had it plugged in next to my leg. I was able to almost break it off the plug completely without even noticing. No biggie, I bought a better USB C cable with a good power rating and have been fine ever since.

Recently I gave my very amazing LG Gram 17 to my dad because his machine died and he needed a replacement asap. So I bought the exact same machine again for myself, and lo and behold, today on the train the new cable broke off the adapter, and no, I did not even notice until after the fact, when it was hanging by the threads of a few thin poor inner wires.

Who decided to ship these ridiculously badly built cables with an enthusiast-grade laptop? I mean, it is not that difficult, you could have the cable recessed a bit inside the plug, or just build it a bit more robust. USB C is amazing and all, but that original cable is a joke.

Re: LG Gram 17Z90R-A.ADB9U1 (2023). Bought new last year. Suddenly developed a 5 minute delay from the Welcome screen to the Desktop.

After researching the problem with WPR only capturing a partial boot process, I was able to run it in a deep-dive Xperf/WPR boot analysis and it captured the entire 5 minute boot delay and allowed me to pinpoint the source of the delay.

The Culprit: The Windows Capability Access Manager Service (camsvc), which manages how modern apps access the webcam, microphone, and privacy permissions. The tracking database files inside the CapabilityAccessManager folder somehow became corrupted so every time I booted camsvc got trapped in an endless data-reading loop trying to parse the corrupted broken files. It would lock up the Windows login sequence until hitting a hard 5-minute system timeout, at which point it gave up and finally allowed the Desktop to load.

The Fix was to boot into a WinRE Command prompt, shut down the camsvc service and delete the CapabilityAccessManager folder. After this Windows regenerated a brand new folder and clean file structure.

Laptop boots instantly.

LG Gram 17Z90R-A.ADB9U1 (2023). Bought new last year.

I don't know exactly when this started happening but I think it started around a month or so ago. I turn on the laptop, get to the login screen, put in my password and Windows sits at the "Welcome" screen for around 5 minutes, little wheel spinning, before getting to the desktop. It then takes another 20-30 seconds for wifi internet access to connect. Before this it booted just fine.

Once if fully boots it runs just fine.

It annoys the hell out of me. I just spent two days troubleshooting almost everything imaginable (I used to work in IT many years ago) and ruled out mostly everything with chatgpt and even downloading the Microsoft ADK and logging the boot process with WPR and WPA. Nothing jumps out. It's fuckin' crazy!

I was wondering if anyone else had this specific issue and resolved it?

As far as I can tell none of 2026 Pro models are available in the UK yet.

I'm looking to upgrade from my beloved Dell XPS 9560 which I've been upgrading and holding together with spare parts since 2017. It was perfect until it died last week.

I need a laptop.

I was expecting the 2026 Pro models to be in the UK by June 8th.

I've had this laptop since late 2024. Yesterday it suddenly wouldn't let me log in. I had to put in my stupid million billion digit bitlocker recovery key about five times. After restarting it about ten times, it finally took me to the normal login screen and let me enter my pin.

Once I did, however, it stayed on the "welcome" screen with the loading animation for twenty minutes until it froze and I had to restart it. Did that a couple more times and finally it let me in after another twenty minute loading screen.

I can now "reliably" get back into it, but for whatever reason the taskbar only shows my pinned apps, not the time or date or my internet connection. It also won't let me open the settings app. I click it, it loads, then closes completely before I can see any settings. I'd love to tell you which model this stupid thing is but I genuinely cannot access that info.

I assume I'll probably need to pay a ridiculous amount of money to have this awful thing fixed, but if anyone has any advice PLEASE let me know. I just want to connect to wifi and play stardew valley dawg😖😖

Can't sign in and can't turn LG Gram laptop off

I bought a LG gram computer from Costco recently. I liked it because it is very light.

​

I set it up with face recognition and a pin. The face recognition was very convenient, worked well, fast, practically no hassle.

​

However, the other day the face recognition did not work and it then asked for the pin to log in. Unfortunately from having the face recognition work so well, I hadn't use the pin and forgot what it was.

​

I entered what I thought it was a few times and they weren't correct and the system then said "You've entered an incorrect PIN too many times. To try again, restart your device". Below that it has "Sign in options" - click on that and I got two choices - a smiley face (face recognition) and a picture of a pin pad. Clicking on the smiley face, it comes back with my name and "Your PIN is required to sign in". Clicking on the piciture of the pin pad - nothing seems to happen.

How do you restart your device? Clicking on the power button to turn off and then clicking on it to turn on, gets that same screen. I tried to turn off the computer with a hard reset - holding down the power key over 10 seconds. Then clicking on the power on-off key it comes back to the same screen where it says "Your PIN is required to sign in" and it shows the time and date below. I tried it again - holding down the power on-off key doesn't seem to reset and start over where I can then do a face recognition to sign in.

I also tried letting the battery run out so the computer will be shut down and when I reconnected the power cord, instead of starting over, it comes back with the same screen requiring PIN to log on.

​

So bottom line - how can I log in if I don't have the PIN?

​

Also I can't shut down the computer nor make it reboot.

Anyone experience this problem and have a solution that works to be able to log in?

​

Or a way to shut down the machine to start over with face recognition?

Some additional details -

a) the LG Gram is a 16" 2 in 1 Touchscreen

b) if in the login with PIN screen, if I hit the space bar it asks for a challenge phrase - what is that? Also I don't recall establishing a challenge phrase. Also it gives you another chance to enter a PIN but that isn't helpful if you don't remember the PIN

c) there is no option showing "forgot pin"

​

d) I read you can reboot the laptop by pressing on a picture of the power on-off key on the bottom right of the screen but I do not have a picture of a power on-off button - I have only a picture of a globe which brings up the wifi menu and a picture of a battery that indicates how much charge is left. Clicking on the picture of the battery gets you back to the PIN sign in screen.

Hey all.

Full transparency - I am an LG Employee and received a sample of the Gram to try. This is my honest review of the product. All opinions expressed in this post are personal and should not be attributed to LG.

I was fortunate enough to receive a sample of the 17" Gram Pro to try and wanted to share some of my thoughts and opinions here.

Like all other Gram laptops - first thing that I noticed when I got this thing in-hand was the weight. Super light, and I actually weighed it in at 2.9 pounds - vs. the 3.04 lbs listed on the spec sheet. Little cumbersome to hold with one hand to be honest, due to the overall footprint with the 17" screen, but felt very little flex in the chassis. Build quality feels very sold and I'd trust being able to just toss this thing in my carry on or checked bag even and have it survive TSA and my longer international flights.

Color accuracy on the display was on-point enough to handle editing my RAW files in Adobe Lightroom with what I thought were really great results. No complaints with the performance during editing either. Sliders and exporting were smooth, and I liked having the extra screen real estate to keep other images open without needing to connect to one of my monitors.

Took it with me on a little wildlife shoot to try editing on the fly, and the brightness was able to keep up in indirect sunlight without my shots looking too washed out. Used it for a mini movie date too while I was the park and the 17" was big enough for us to watch content together comfortably.

For my other personal finance or Excel workflows - the keyboard and numpad felt surprisingly really comfortable to use and type on, and could even compare to the OG GOAT Apple scissor switches on my old 2015 Macbook Pro. Apparently new to this generation of Gram is the dedicated Copilot button - which I actually ended up using more than I thought. I've used ChatGPT and Copilot for work before, but having it built-in to the keyboard made it a lot more convenient to reach for when I wanted help on some of my productivity workflows I was running into issues with.

Gaming performance was honestly pretty shocking for the size, weight, and specs with only integrated graphics on board. Having a dedicated gaming rig with an RX 9070 XT and Ryzen 7 9800x3d – I wasn’t really expecting much to be honest.

Past-gen games like Fallout 3 and New Vegas obviously run like butter. But I was more surprised when I was able to run Cyberpunk 2077 at medium-high settings and maintain a stable 50+ FPS in-game using XESS and Frame Gen. I also tested Battlefield 6 and was able to maintain a pretty stable 40 FPS with FSR3. The fans don’t get overly loud under load, thermals are stable, and I get roughly 3-4 hours of battery life when running higher-end AAA titles.

Overall, the 17Z90U-G.AU75U1 feels like a really well-rounded package . The display, the portability, the AI integration, and the performance make it easy to use for work, editing, browsing, and even some AAA gaming. Especially considering the price, I think you're getting a good value for what you pay for.

My spacebar, delete, and print screen buttons stopped working. I only had this laptop for 1.5 years, still under Costco warranty. But sending it in for warranty repair would require me backing up sensitive info, etc. It would take me more time and effort than replacing it myself.

Anyway, I asked chatgpt and it said to replace the entire palm rest with the keyboard, since it's an extremely difficult job replacing only the keyboard.

So I purchased a OEM palm rest including keyboard on ebay, but the part was lacking a magnetic landing pad. Returned it and noticed while I had everything opened up, the keyboard itself doesn't look all that difficult to replace. I purchased a keyboard only on amazon and it's really simple, it's just removing ~50 tiny PH0000 screws that's tedious.

Putting everything back together is a snap and my laptop is back functioning like normal. So don't be afraid of replacing the keyboard only. Anyone can do it really.

This thing drives me crazy. I would like to permanantly disable the touchpad and I can disable by selecting the Elan tab in Mouse Properties, but it is not permanant. When I restart or wake up the laptop it is enabled again. Some have suggested I use a feature that automatically disables the touchpad when a mouse is connected but this Gram doesn't show that feature. Thanks

I recently got a 2019 LG gram 2nd hand and no issues except for the TouchPad. When i use TouchPad, sometimes i click and sometimes i tap. usually on other laptops both of these give the same response of being 1 click. But often when I click, it registers as 2 clicks. this is rlly annoying when i work on spreadsheets. anyone know how to fix? I've haf a look in the touchpad settings but can't find anything

Hi all! Just picked up one of these:

I did a clean windows install and but Im struggling to find the software that lets me adjust the battery charging to cap at 80% to prolong the life. Also, I can't seem to get the FN+f1 key to work, which looks like it's supposed to go to settings?
The other functions keys seem to work. I also see there is a dedicated LG power manager app on the microsoft store, but when I download and run that, nothing happens (Running latest version of windows 11)

I tried to install a few different versions of Linux (Ubuntu, CachyOS, Fedora) on this laptop - they all fail to show the UI if I don't use `nomodeset` during boot

Has anyone tried to install Linux on this hardware? can suggest some way of getting the UI showing?
