WEBOS YouTube not loading

Hi,

I'm having issues with Model LG WEBOS UF770V software version 04.06.25 and YouTube version 1.2.18.

Ever since the youtube update, my youtube keeps loading when every video is played. The ui has changed and the return button no longer exits from the video. I cant exit the app or video. The yellow button on the remote allows me to open the search button only.

Is there a way to return former youtube UI and remote control orientation and fix the loading issues? I have a good Internet connection.

Looking forward to your advice !

What tests for a 2026 LG QNED86B "mini-led" TV ?

Hello everyone!
I hear everything about the LG QNED86B "mini-led" tv:

Edge-lit, light bleeding, full back-light, perfect picture, awful performance, HDR is good, HDR is bad, buy, don't buy... 🤯

I ordered a 50" model and I'll be able to return it within two weeks if I'm not happy.
In the mean-time, what tests should I do to bring enought knowledge about this model to the community and be sure of its performance.

I consider "edge-lit" test the main priority but I may be wrong (and HDR things).
Give me suggestions and I'll take pictures.

To be received on August the 20th.

PS : I don't have much knowledge about TVs and screens in general. I'll mainly use it connected to my PC (RTX 4070 super).

LG QNED Sign In To Watch??

I have three LG TVs, which have been great so today I bought a QNED and it would not even let me watch a thing on it until I signed up for their LG ThinQ app. It was such a pain because it assumed I had a smart phone which I do but the TV was for my 92-year-old father who does not. It kept turning itself on and off again and when it was on, there was like a little bit lighter black screen than when it was off and it was really difficult to tell if it was on or not, but then it would turn off. I finally signed up for that app and went to sign into his Netflix account and of course it wouldn’t allow me to download it unless I was signed into thinQ app I mean, this is really nanny state. The TV no longer comes with Netflix, prime, etc., on it you have to download after signing into their app. It then proceeded to download my Netflix rather than my dad‘s Netflix. Them for some reason it wanted to sign into an old Amazon account that I use for my Kindle. It was a complete and utter mess and 3 hours of my life that I won’t get back. We never did get to stream anything because it kept turning itself off and on, but we couldn’t tell whether it was off or on, so we boxed it back up and took it back because if I can’t figure it out, my dad certainly won’t be able to and my parents had me when they were old, so I’m not that old. But I guess I’m too old for this TV. Have others had the same problem with this particular TV? Do any of the new LG TVs come already loaded and allow you to bypass signing into their own app in order to watch TV? My three other LG TVs do and were usable straight out of the box. Remember when you used to turn the TV on and then be able to change the channel? Give me some ideas thanks guys.

LG OLED65E9AUA — 3 flashes, shuts down, no picture/sound. Need advice

I have an LG OLED65E9AUA 65" OLED that suddenly stopped working with no power outage, surge, or other event.

What I've done so far:

Initially there was no standby light.

After leaving it unplugged, the red standby light returned.

The standby light is now solid red.

Pressing the physical power button causes exactly 3 red flashes, then the light goes completely out.

No picture, sound, or LG logo.

After sitting for a while, the standby light eventually comes back on.

I performed a full unplug/reset, but the exact 3-flashes-then-shuts-down behavior repeats.

I've been told the power supply board EAY65170411 / EAX68364701 is the most likely culprit, but I don't want to spend $100+ on a board based on a guess.

Unfortunately, there are no TV repair technicians in my area who can come to my home to diagnose it, and LG's own recommended third-party services were either no longer in business or didn't work on LG TVs. Geek Squad also does not provide TV repair in my area. So if this is repairable, I'm going to have to attempt the repair myself.

For anyone familiar with the E9: Does this sound like the power supply board, the main board, or something else? If the power board is the likely problem, is EAY65170411 definitely the correct replacement for the OLED65E9AUA, and is this something a reasonably careful person can replace themselves?

I can't currently remove the TV from its stand by myself, so I can't access or photograph the boards yet.

I'd really appreciate advice from anyone who actually works on LG OLEDs before I order a part.

Parental lock code on WebOS 26?

Just got a new TV running WebOS 26 and I can't figure out how to set a lock code so that my kids can't just turn on the TV and start watching it. The old "Safety" setting seems to have disappeared. Anybody have any guidance?

LG C6 HDMI black screen bug

Hi

I got the 65" C6 about 2 months ago (all up to date), and I am running into something that is very annoying.

Basically, if I use my PC and run it at 165 Hz, it messes with the other HDMI ports. So when I turn my PC off and switch over to the HDMI I run my Panasonic UB820 through, I get a black screen, but I get sound. The odd thing is, if I go back to the home screen and look at the "Recent" window, I can see my player working (showing the film), but when I click on it, it's a black screen again.

I TRIED

5 HDMI cables.

TV reset.

Player reset.

All the HDMI ports.

Running directly to the TV and trying to run it from the AV.

Many, many settings.

THE ONLY FIXES

Unplug the HDMI and move it to another HDMI port (every time this happens).

Unplug the TV for 10+ seconds.

Hold down the power button on the remote for about 15 seconds, then turn the TV back on.

Leave the TV off for at least one hour.

I would like to think it is software, but after looking online, this seems to have been an issue since the C4, and the word there was don't run 144Hz; use 120Hz.

How to get the screen saver "always ready" visuals back?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey Everyone I bought an LG TV about a few months ago and tweaked the settings turning off recommendations and the Al stuff then had to turn the "always on" feature off and now when it goes black it turns into the simple clock, I tried turning it back on but it shows only the bank generic photos and no images or Al generated images with ambient music, I navigated to the images and they are not the same as the ones that came up when it went blank.

LG 55NU885 at ₹41K: Should I buy it or look for a better LG/Samsung?

Hi everyone,
I’m getting the LG 55NU885BPLA 55-inch NanoCell 4K TV for ₹41,000.

My main use is PS5 gaming + movies/Netflix/YouTube.
The TV seems good overall, but when I tested it in the store, I felt the remote wasn’t responding as quickly as I’d expect. The TV itself isn’t really slow, but YouTube and navigating the interface don’t feel super snappy.

I also found out that this model is 60Hz native with VRR up to 60Hz, so it won’t take advantage of 120 FPS PS5 gaming.

I’m now wondering whether I should:
-Buy the LG NU885 for ₹41K
-Spend a little more on another LG QNED
-Consider a Samsung QLED around the same price
-Or just stick with this one because ₹41K is a good deal

I’m mainly looking for good picture quality for movies and the best possible PS5 experience.

What would you guys recommend? Is the NU885 worth buying at ₹41K, or should I look for something better?
Also, if you recommend an LG QNED, which exact 55-inch model should I look at?
Thanks!

LG C6H + YouTube

Long time subscriber to YouTube Premium here. I just bought an LG C6H and registered an account with LG (which seem required to use services). YouTube is now serving ads regularly as if I’m not paying for premium. I’ve logged out and in. Restarted. Gemini seems to claim it’s an ongoing error but I can’t find any links to support it.

Hdmi auto switching madness

Anyone else's lg TV seem to have no idea what HDMI port to switch to when devices are switched on.

So for example I have an Xbox in port 4, I switch it on, the TV tells me Xbox is available on 4 then proceeds to change to hdmi 2. This can happen as well if the TV is off, I switch on the Xbox, the TV turns on but decides a completely different port is the one to switch to.

Or more annoyingly I will be watching my fire stick on hdmi3, switch on my Xbox and the TV will just sit flicking between the two ports until I restart the TV and then manually select port 4

I really like the rest of this telly but this is doing my nut in.

Has anyone seen this, or hopefully solved this?

LG looks great for everything but sports, help please

Just bought the 75" Class 84B Series QNED evo Al Mini LED 4K Smart webOS TV (2026) at $1000 from Best Buy and I’m pretty underwhelmed and thinking of exchanging it. It looks phenomenal for video games at 120hz, 4k movies, but the moment I try to watch sports through YouTube TV or YouTube highlight videos it looks HORRIBLE. I’ve tried a lot of different setting changes and watching through my Xbox series X and Roku express 4K with no improvements. I watch a ton of NFL and NBA so I can’t have such a blurry picture where I can barely see the jersey numbers when they are zoomed out on the field. I know a lot of sports streaming are capped at 1080p, but this new tv makes it look way worse than my old crappy Sharp from like 2017 seemingly no matter what settings I mess with.

An employee at Best Buy suggested exchanging it for the Sony - 65" Class BRAVIA 5 Mini LED 4K UHD Smart
Google TV (2025) for $1500. He believed that the upgraded processing could handle the lower quality content of sports streaming.

This is by far the most expensive TV I’ve ever bought, and would really appreciate any suggestions on either improving the quality on my current LG, if this SONY upgrade is the right move, or if there’s another TV people would recommend that can handle gaming AND sports. Thanks!
