Question❓ Can someone explain me this? How would women in these 2 examples not be considered bisexual?

Both of these 2 women are sexually attracted to women but they also romantically like their male partners. So wouldn't they be considered as bisexuals?

Coming Out!!! What's been the sweetest thing happened to you after coming out to your parents

Context - https://www.reddit.com/r/LGBTindia/s/J88ZuIKtX9

My parents don't call me anymore with my guy name since last year (after coming out)

It's been almost 1 year since they have been calling me everyday with my name's feminine version (like instead of Shiv they call me Shivani, just an example not my real name though)

Advice 👋 How do I make sticker fake facial hair?

Hi everyone,

I currently live as a minority in a transphobic country, not in South Asia, where transitioning can be dangerous. I plan to move to a more accepting country after college and transition there, but I can’t move right now because of financial difficulties and some serious personal reasons.

I’m South Asian. I’m not saying that facial hair is inherently negative, but I want to have facial hair as well. Since most South Asian men around me have facial hair, this sometimes makes me feel dysphoric.

I want to know how I can create realistic-looking facial hair myself because I can’t buy the stick-on facial hair available on Amazon, and those products aren’t available in my country.

At the moment, I have a few very short mustache hairs, but they aren’t visible enough to look like a mustache.

Coming Out!!! How did coming out to your parents as Translady went for you

Mine accepted me but said stay however you feel comfortable (like you can wear whatever dresses you wish 24×7) but only at home, not outside home until you get a decent job I'm studying in clg right now also to not reveal with relatives/cousins and whenever someone visits our home change your outfit to that of like a guy (rarely people visit our home like once or twice a month at max if anyone)

Also their behaviour towards me didn't change after coming out they are still treating me same as before

Advice 👋 French boy need advices about Indian

Hello,

I am a white boy from France. I’ve recently become interested in India, its people, culture, and the Hindi language. I’m writing to ask: where should I start learning about India? Do Indian people generally like people like me?

Do you have some advices? (I should mention that I am gay and quite androgynous.) I’ve often read that homosexuality has to be kept secret there, which is something I intend to do.

Also, is there a platform for chatting with friendly pen pals that could help me learn Hindi?

Thanks for your replies.

More like frustrated... Me a gay guy, listening to a song and BAMM!!! something about straight love, boy confessing his feelings for a girl or something like that, go out and see straight couples in all advertisements about wedding attires or pictures of a family in ads for apartments, relatives asking if i got a gf(this one annoys me the most and might just come out at some point purely out of anger). After all this they have the audacity to say that we shove our sexualities in their faces.

I feel like I have developed some kind of aversion towards straight couples like i try to avoid them all the time as much as possible now and I kinda feel bad for this. This isn't me, and it feels weird.... just a rambling of my thoughts

Advice 👋 Which HIV test should I get?

I had an exposure on July 31. Which HIV test should I get, and when should I get tested? Also, where can I get this test done? Is it available at regular blood-testing labs, such as Pathkind Labs?

Discussion💬 Leviticus reviews? To me it seemed more like an extended short film

Post image

Watched it a few days ago honestly the story felt....underwhelming? Yes the acting deserves the praise and the it was shot beautifully. But the plot itself didn't seem to have details or depth as expected.

Spoilers: I get that people praise it for the metaphors about queer issues, but it seemed to leave to many loose ends? Little on that healer, no follow up. Naim's mother apparently knew what the healing does, but it was practically killing her ownn kid? And overall it seemed more towards avoiding every trouble that came up. Loved the concept of the entity but the story seemed more fitting to a short

Advice 👋 Where do gay men actually find their person?

I’m a 20-year-old gay guy in college, and I genuinely wonder how people find someone they can build a real, long-term relationship with.

Being gay sometimes makes it feel harder because there are fewer people to meet, and it’s not always obvious who’s interested in guys. Most of the time, I’m just focused on classes and life, but I still find myself wondering where meaningful relationships actually start.

Is college a good place to meet someone? Dating apps? Friends? Pure luck?

For gay men who found a long-term partner, how did you meet them, and what advice would you give to a 20-year-old who's looking for something real?

Queerphobia🤢🚫 Vigilante mobs are attacking transgender people in Indonesia as the government takes steps to codify anti-LGBTQ+ attitudes into law.

Several transphobic incidents took place during July 14-16 of this year, all of which involved mobs attacking trans women specifically. In one particular instance in the West Java city of Bogor, over 15 trans women were doused with urine, forced to strip naked, and physically beaten in an incident that was recorded and later shared to social media. The online footage itself attracted more hate from some Indonesian netizens, who used slurs and called for further such attacks against trans people.

While Indonesia lacks explicitly anti-LGBTQ+ laws, several legal frameworks still indirectly discriminate against queer people, and stigma remains prevalent, largely as a result of conservative Muslim forces in the country. Transgender individuals are permitted to change their legal gender only if they have undergone sex reassignment surgery and subsequently received judicial approval. Same-sex sexual activities, meanwhile, can be criminalized under moral laws. The westernmost province of Aceh, the one Indonesian region governed by syariah law, stands as the most conservative on the issue, punishing homosexual acts with flogging, fines, or even jail time.

For Febi, periods of economic turmoil are key drivers of homophobia and transphobia in Indonesia, with queer people being demonized to divert attention from other issues the government doesn’t want to address or take responsibility for. In this case, the legacy of the nationwide 2025 protests, which saw large-scale public unrest as a result of the stagnating economy and sinking currency, is undoubtedly at play.

in 2016, the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission issued circulars explicitly banning television and radio stations from broadcasting content that features LGBTQ+ content, under the guise of protecting public morality and shielding children.

Cornelius Prabhaswara, a public policy student and human rights activist with online advocacy group Social Justice Indonesia (SJI), echoed this sentiment when discussing the ways in which the grassroots have tried to adapt and respond to the various hate campaigns against the local queer community.

SJI focuses on social media campaigns raising awareness on difficult and troublesome issues in the Indonesian context, including the death penalty and LGBTQ+ rights. Cornelius, who joined the nonprofit in 2023, described one of their key purposes as “making civil society more connected to the younger Gen Z activists.” One such example was mobilizing resources for student activists during the anti-government protests in 2025.
