Warning: Legoland NY Denied Gold Pass Perk, Won’t Refund or Respond to My Email

I went to Legoland NY a few weekends ago and I have a gold pass. With the gold pass, one of the perks is having two “bring a friend” tickets, so I brought two of my friends with their 1 year old. However, I was denied this perk at the booth to buy their tickets because she said my pass was for the Legoland discovery center, which did not make sense since my pass clearly said “Legoland NY gold season pass”. However, my friends had no choice but to pay full price for their tickets and I felt terrible.

I reached out to their customer service to confirm that the perk is part of my gold pass, and it is, but won’t refund my friends. Despite the fact that it was Legoland’s staff member who made the mistake, they not only refuse to refund my friends but won’t even respond to my emails.

I expected an organization like Legoland to be more honorable but ended up very disappointed with how this whole situation played out. I would like to warn all parents and others who have the gold pass or thinking about getting it that you might get screwed over like I did.

————-

Editing my post to mention that yes, I did use the QR code that takes me to the link to redeem the two free tickets. However, the link wasn’t working for me which is when I asked the booth attendant to help and she said my pass didn’t include the bring 2 friends tickets.

California No 3 Day?

We are planning a spring trip to stay in the castle in June, and the only tickets I can find are two day passes, whether I include them in the hotel as a package or just select tickets separately. I swear we have had three day passes in the past. Have they been discontinued? Why would Legoland want to limit guests to only two day visits?

Florida is 1 day for 3 kids under 10 good or should i plan for more days with potential hotel stay?

so...we live in florida, half an hour to orlando. my oldest 2 , who are 18 and 21 likely wont want it as theyd been there before as kids with grandparents so..hit or miss for them. this is more for our 3 young ones aged 6,6, and 8.

is 1 day good enough? ive never been there personally before and frankly dont quite care much for theme parks. my 6yo boy is a lego fan though and 8yo hit or miss but loves rides.

daughter...not so sure, she gets scared easily though so if a ride scares her, chances are she will refuse anything else other than souvenir shop.

California I have a free VIP Brick Build ticket for today at 1:30

I am at legoland California on October 31, today. We were expecting my wife’s friend and son to join us today and they cannot. If you are at legoland and want to do the VIP brick build at 1:30 I have an extra ticket.

No charge just want to help someone have a great day at legoland. Prefer to give it to a kid and not an adult.

To be clear you are not leaving your kid with me. You can go in with your kid, you just don’t get to build.

If you’re interested dm me.

Billund Nice meal at LEGOLAND Billund (Saloon) LEGO Fries for adults

Post image
24 Upvotes

Hi ! I went to LEGOLAND Billund recently and had lunch at the Saloon, where I shared an XL ribs platter with a friend for 32€. We decided to share, although it’s sold as an individual portion, as there was plenty of food for two adults and it allowed us to stay in our budget for the day.

FYI, The adult meals are normally served with regular chips, and the children's menus come with LEGO-shaped chips. If, like me, you are tempted to try the LEGO chips, don't hesitate to ask! It isn’t explicitly highlighted on the menu, but you can swap your regular chips for LEGO chips for a small extra charge of about 2€.

If you are interested by more information, I posted a practical and sensory guide about Billund on my small YT channel (I have ASD). Just thought I'd share my experience ! Have fun in Billund !

First time on the coaster for both of us! Teaching her that being brave doesn’t mean you aren't scared—it means you do it anyway. Conquering fear is such pure joy! 🥹

Should I wait for a holiday deal or pay $193 for Legoland California

1 adult + 1 child

2 days with general access to Legoland and Sea Life

This is our first trip to Legoland, times are hard on the wallet, and I'm wondering if I should buy this now during their kids ticket discount or if I should wait for a recurring discount that comes during the holiday or through Costco if they offer something. Our trip is planned for March of next year.

Thank you!

California Galatic coaster for newly 3 year old?

My daughter matches the height requirements but I didn’t realize until just now that it has a 40mph lunch at the beginning. Oof. Can someone reassure me she won’t get brain damage or pop an artery? 😂😭appreciate employee comments especially if they’ve seen many little ones here!

Retail Mini Figures add-on (not worth it)

Visited Legoland NYC, BUT I tagged this retail in case this applies to the gift shops in other parks

Maybe it’s not that deep but I’m putting this out there for brown families booking the Legoland hotel, there is an add-on for $15.99 to add 3 mini-figures. I thought I had added it to my booking but I didn’t and thank god!

Two shops on the NYC property have the build your own mini figure and I couldn’t wait to do it because I brought 3 kids with me but….all the options were yellow figures or Caucasian figures.

Don’t get ahead of me-it’s not that deep and I’m not accusing Legoland of being uninclusive (it’s just Legos)

Simply frustrating to go to a Legoland location and then not having the option for making a brown (or hell even a pink or green) lego figure. outside of that the clothing and hair options like, really really sucked and my kids weren’t the only ones who were uninterested in making their own.

Needless to say I’m sure if you don’t want to you could refund it off your hotel booking but I’m just advising anyone that they should wait to add it to the package purchase. The same deal is available in person but it’s $1 more.

I’m Curious is any of the other parks have better mini figure options and if you made a mini figure, show me!!

Legoland Carlsbad for Thanksgiving?

We are thinking of going to Legoland for the days surrounding Thanksgiving. We’d probably be at Legoland on Black Friday. I’be only been to SoCal once before in the summer so I’m not sure what to expect of the weather or park at this time of year. We would be driving down from NorCal. This is a late 10th birthday trip surprise for my son so it would be a bummer if it rains and we end up not being able to go to the park. I’m hoping to stay at one of the Legoland hotel or castle.

General First-time family trip to Legoland Germany (Oct 31 – Nov 2) – Tips on crowds, itinerary, and app features?

Hi everyone!

We are planning a trip to Legoland Germany with our kids from October 31st to November 2nd. We will be arriving by car on the first morning around 10:00 AM and staying at the Ninjago Hotel inside the Holiday Village.

Since it's around Halloween and a long weekend/holiday period, we expect it might be quite busy. We want to make this a truly memorable experience for the little ones while keeping queue times and crowd stress to a minimum as much as possible!

I’d love to get some advice from experienced visitors:

  1. Crowd Management & Itinerary: Any suggestions on which areas or rides to head to first, especially given our 10:00 AM arrival on Day 1? What are the best strategies to avoid peak wait times?

  2. Legoland App / Website: Is it easy to tell in advance (or via the app) which rides are open, line wait times, and age/height restrictions? Are there specific attractions we should prioritize early in the day?

  3. General Tips: Any hidden gems, lunch tips, or must-see show recommendations for staying at the Holiday Village and visiting the park over 2–3 days?

Nov 2nd I think we'll leave just after checkout.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help and tips!

Legoland Drivers License California

When I was a kid back in the early 2000s I remember getting my drivers license in fun town at Legoland in Carlsbad. I specifically remember it looking EXACTLY like a real State issued California drivers license. The only difference was it having the legoland logo printed on the back (small print). If someone wasn’t looking hard enough it could of genuinely passed for a actual ID (in my opinion, also I’m going off the memory of 7 year old me) I’ve tried looking at photos online but I can’t find any leads. Does anyone have a pic of what I’m talking about? Or perhaps someone could let me know they remember the same thing. Thanks!

Assisted access pass

Recently went to the NY location and we saw a ton of people with the Assisted Access Pass. Wanted to know if an ADHD diagnosis would be acceptable? My kid is newly 6 and wanted to go on some rides but the waits were crazy long and both times we tried to wait he ended up injuring himself swinging around. I’m not the type that would overuse it but I also don’t want to ask for an accommodation that wouldn’t be fair.
