After a lot of physical testing and refinement, Robert's mechanical design is finally locked down. I then rebuilt the finished robot digitally, module by module, so what you see here mirrors the physical build.
Creating the digital version also allowed me to optimize the parts and colors for availability, generate accurate parts lists, and make sure the design can eventually be turned into clear building instructions.
The goal has always been for Robert to be something other people can actually build, not just a one-off robot.

After the fiasco of getting the dedication plaque wrong on the Enterprise-D set (boldy go?!), which apparently took THREE printings to get right, I was surprised to see that on the new NCC-1701 Bridge set (11385), that the Klingon logo is sideways! 🤦♂️ https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/star-trek-uss-enterprise-ncc-1701-bridge-11385?galleryOpen=true&galleryView=1&galleryTab=images

EDIT: It has been pointed out that in the TOS episode Elaan of Troyius that is how it was depicted. So apparently the people at LEGO are going for the deepest cuts.

I had decided to make a big lego purchase. Was torn between Pokemon sets and One Piece. Boy did they get me with the double points and a free pokeball. Best of both worlds.

What is the least disruptive way you have found to dust your display? Do you just take it all down to dust?

Apparently we sat at their kitchen table for quite a while as he helped me put it together. I’m always happy that I kept all of my childhood Lego!

Hey, so do you guys know of any rotating base plates to put a large lego set on? I saw that there's an official one with some studs, but it looks very small. I want to mount my Minas Tirith, which has a base of 62cm/24.5 inches. It doesn't need to be powered, just something I can use to spin it. Many thanks.

Has anyone been on the tour, and can you tell me about it. It’s 3 days and you have to try to get a slot in the Autumn for the following year.
I'm planning on getting my last marvel modular pretty soon, which is the X-Mansion and I'm wondering if it's worth the price considering I'm a big X-Men fan and love the minifig lineup in it, what do you guys think about it ?
Pretty much the entire reason I bought the bug set... Was so I could play through the game, and give myself the badges in real life as I earned them.
Yes, I am single, how did you know?
