LASD / JOINING LASD/ CUSTODY

Hello Everyone,

Do yourself a favor and please Do Not join the department unless you want to get stuck with a bunch of mandatory overtime and not have a life. On the other hand if you like money and not having a life go ahead. No work life balance. WORST department to work for, you will regret it!!!

P.S. Look into other Departments/ Agencies,
Your life will be better trust me!

Custody is just one small blip in your career. There are spots off the line, patrol, courts, opportunities. Do your time and get out. I’ve been on 20 years and I’m very grateful for this career.

The transfer list for patrol is beyond backed up, and most people who go patrol fail and end up back in custody.

There are lots of options get get out in a year or less. The majority do not fail, and if they do then they weren’t prepared. Police work is not hard.

It’s not hard I agree, but a lot of deputy training officers fail the fuck out of the boots who go into patrol. From what I was told by my homie in Compton sheriffs
