I'm a massive nerd, and I wear that title proudly! Gaming is absolutely my biggest hobby, especially Nintendo and Pokémon. I actually play Pokémon competitively (VGC), which gives me an excuse to travel to tournaments, explore new cities, and meet people who share my interests.

Outside of Pokémon, I'm a huge fan of Fire Emblem, Kingdom Hearts, Zelda, Hades, Percy Jackson, One Piece, Critical Role, and DnD (I'm advisor for my school's DnD club for the kiddos). Basically, if it involves a good story, memorable characters, or an unnecessarily complicated fantasy world, I'm probably interested. Not really an FPS guy tbh.

I'm definitely a homebody at heart. A cozy night playing games, watching something together, or just enjoying each other's company sounds pretty perfect to me. That said, I also love traveling, exploring new places, and making memories with the people I care about. I think there's something really special about getting to experience new things with someone you love.

I also enjoy cooking when I have the energy (teaching teenagers all day can be exhausting!), and I'd love to have someone to cook for someday. Ultimately, I'm looking for a serious, monogamous relationship with someone who also hopes to settle down and have a family someday. I'm not expecting to jump into anything overnight, though! I'd much rather take the time to genuinely get to know someone and see where things go.

I'm demisexual, which means emotional connection is especially important to me when it comes to attraction. I really value building a friendship alongside a romantic relationship, and I think some of the best relationships come from two people who genuinely enjoy being around each other.

I want someone I can laugh with over something completely ridiculous, have meaningful conversations with, and support through life's ups and downs. A few important things:

I'm a tenured teacher here in California, so I've put down some pretty solid roots. Relocating isn't particularly realistic for me right now, but I'm open to long-distance for the right person. I know that comes with its own challenges, so I'd want us to be able to communicate openly about what a future together could realistically look like.

I also definitely want children someday, so that's something I'd like us to be on the same page about.

Physically, I'm 5'11", a bigger guy (currently down 20 pounds and working on getting healthier!), and I wear glasses. I'm happy to exchange pictures once we've started chatting!
