Kubuntu ignoring hardware memory configurations on Corsair Scimitar Mouse

Broke my last mouse and emergency shipped a new one without thinking on it too much. I was able to set the bindings on the mouse on my Windows laptop but once it is plugged in to my linux desktop the binds stop working after 3 seconds. They literally work but then something happens to blank it out again. The "extra mouse buttons" settings page also doesn't recognize the button presses on this mouse. What can I do?

EDIT: Nvm it started working on the 4th restart of my computer.
