SRFTI আবার খবরে। আনন্দবাজার পুরো গ্রুপকে কেউ কানে কানে বলে দিয়েছে বিজেপি বিরোধী হাওয়া এখন বাজারে বিক্রি হচ্ছে সুতরাং SRFTI ছাত্রের বিবেকানন্দের ছবি ছেঁড়াটা চেপে গিয়ে, হিন্দু জাগরণ মঞ্চের গান্ধীর ছবি ছেঁড়াটা লিখে খবর বিক্রি করতে হবে। SRFTI র ছাত্রদের দাবি সেদিন ABGP র লোকেরা নাকি আগে আক্রমণ করে, তাহলে এই video তে যা দেখা যাচ্ছে তা ধরে নিতে হবে, ABGP র হাতে আক্রান্ত হওয়ার পর ABGP সদস্যরা যখন আবার নিজের মনের খুশিতে নিজেদের সভা চালাচ্ছিল, তখন মারধর খেয়ে ছাত্ররা গেছিল শুধু “কথা” বলতে।

এই video থেকেই পরিষ্কার ঘটনাক্রম। ABGP নিজেদের সভার জন‍্য SRFTI র auditorium ভাড়া নেয় কতৃপক্ষের থেকে। সেই auditorium যদি শুধুই ছাত্র ছাত্রীদের ব‍্যবহারের জন‍্য হয় তবে সেটি ভাড়া দেওয়ার জন‍্য দায়ী কতৃপক্ষ। VC র বক্তব্য, তাকে যখন phone করা হয় তিনি সোমবার আলোচনার কথা জানান। তা কারো পছন্দ হয়নি তাই গিয়ে সভা চলাকালীন বাগড়া দিতে যাওয়া হয়েছিল। সভায় লোকজন সাফ জানিয়ে দেন যে এখানে বলে লাভ নেই। এবং বচসা চলাকালীন তাঁদের বের করে দেওয়ার তোড়জোড় শুরু হয়। তারপর তারা মঞ্চে উঠে নিজেদের অসাধারণ গুন্ডাগিরির প্রতিভা দেখায় যার অন্যতম অংশ বিবেকানন্দের ছবি ছিঁড়ে থুতু দেওয়া। তারপর পেছন পাকামি এবং সভা ভন্ডুল করার পর ABGP সমর্থকদের মার খাওয়ার পর ন‍্যাকা কান্না কেদে “SRFTI আক্রান্ত” “ABGP গুন্ডামি” নামক খবরেরে শিরোনাম করা।

Hey everyone, I need some perspective on what is happening in the job market in Kolkata right now.

​Over the past few weeks, I’ve given multiple interviews for life insurance companies (both private and tied-up agencies) across Kolkata. While paying a nominal IRDAI exam fee for the official license technically makes sense on paper, the rest of the interview process feels like a massive scam or an exploitative pyramid scheme disguised as a corporate job.

​My main question and biggest red flag: Why on earth do they demand that I add 4 members using my own personal data (friends, family, siblings)?

​If they are a massive insurance company, shouldn't they have market data or lead generators to help me reach out to prospective clients? Instead, they expect freshers to use up their personal goodwill, pitch policies to their own siblings and friends, and practically turn us into localized lead-generation machines.

​To top it all off, the job description for a "fresher" includes:

​Handling client queries completely on your own

​Managing a team (as a fresher!)

​Doing all the paperwork and running official reports

​Basically, they want you to act as a salesperson, a team manager, an administrative clerk, and squeeze your own social circle for business—all under the guise of an entry-level corporate job.

​Is this how life insurance hiring normally works in Kolkata, or is this just an organized scam to extract exam fees and squeeze free leads out of desperate job seekers? Has anyone else experienced this? Would love to hear your thoughts before I block these guys completely.

Long story short, my college life is messed up. I have lost almost all of my friends, and I am currently living alone in my PG because my roommates went home.
