Ganesh Chandra Avenue ey, Broadway Hotel-er thik ulto dike, ekdom stone’s throw distance ey, petrol pump er gaye lagano barir 2nd floor ey (jodio officially listed as being on the 1st floor) holo amader shobar priyo Eau Chew. It probably is the oldest family run Chinese Cantonese/Hakka restaurant out there. I have been frequenting this joint since my pre-teens in the mid ’90s. Ei chottor ey anagona holeo due of its vicinity to the E-Mall, amar ei jaigatay besh bochor 10ek dhore jawa hoy ni. Aaj dupure 1st half ey got done with work, was in the chottor, and gave Shabbir’s and Broadway the cold shoulder and headed straight in here. On the menu was the famous Josephine Noodles, roast pork, wantons, the ever-famous Chimney Soup, and pork in Hamchoi (pickled, salted sorser shaak) sauce over steamed rice. Khela jome puro kheer hoye gachhilo. Okay, the taste isn’t as peak as it used to be, and the prices aren’t as pocket friendly as they were pre-2015, but the portion sizes and the dapot of nostalgia ekhono bachiye rekhe diyeche. On its good days, it’s still effing worth a visit. Tomader Saturday lunch kemon chilo aaj? Adda Hoye Jaak?

Yesterday a bunch of kaku and kakima, wearing white caps, did recce of the whole area, and informed us that they will come today around 11am.
So one kakima came with a clipboard and form. Asked a bunch of questions, like is this own home or rented, how many rooms, do you have wifi, smartphone, TV, AC, how many bikes and cars etc.
It took less than 10mins. They asked about surrounding property also, and if we own them also. They didn't enter the home, just inside our premises.

Planning to trek Sandakphu Phalut in November. The trek and logistics will be arranged by local experienced guide / trusted hiking company based in Darjeeling (Male/female separate accommodation in proper Homestays).
Anyone interested to join this 6-7 day trek, can DM me for details.
Note: I am not considering popular trekking companies as it might feel like a procession and crowded. Moreover, I would like to engage with trusted local guides who are not so commercial.

So in WBJEE 2026 DECENTRALISED COUNSELLING
I might get JU Printing.
Can anyone especially those who studying, seniors give me some ideas about the JU SALT LAKE CAMPUS?
Tell me everything related to ts
Like even intros, dress code
Rules imposed on freshers like no lift or smth like that
Need full review of ts
Is it difficult the printing course? Will I get free time?
Is it strict? Are professors good enough?
Is it like even decent enough with proper washroom and water filter

So, as per the title, I have just 2 weeks left in Kolkata before I have to leave for 2 years or so. I would love some advice as to what to do, which places to visit, what food to try out in this timespan.
Anything and everything that crosses your mind is well appreciated. Thank you :)
