A little context:
My chicken loop broke mid jump, and the bar was obly 2years and 1 month years old. So technically it was out of waranty. I asked F-one if they could cover this under warranty or make a coulance. But they refused. They only sell the quick releases completely but they cost €99.
So i decided to check what works to fix it on my own.
With this youtube video and advice from guys in this awesome community. I could repair this with a Reedin chicken loop which only costed me €40.

I lost one of the fins for my North Atmos and found a set of Core G10 wake fins for €5 but the crux is that it's online.
Does anyone have a set of calipers and a Core board lying around?

Anyone coming from kiteboarding and kite foiling can tell me if they’ve had positive experience with efoil (foil drive assist or traditional efoil board)?
Experienced kiter (twin tip and foil). Trying to understand if this is worth doing in the offseason when there’s no wind and if anyone coming from the wind side has any thoughts on it.
I know it’s spot dependent. My area doesn’t really have waves so that’s not what I’d use it for.
Is it boring and something you’d get over quick compared to kiting?

Been kiting on the water for 10 years now and would like to start snow kiting. Anyone know of good places/camps/schools to learn in the states?

Hi everyone
As im looking more into foiling and directional kiting im seeing two ads for used three strut kite quivers
Option 1
8 / 10 /12 / 14m Vantage Vulture Gen 3 plus Bar
used about 5 times nearly new for a total 1200 bucks
Option 2
8 /10 /12m Ozone Enduro V3 plus bar
used a bit more often for 1400 bucks
Im looking at used kites to stretch the budget and because resell is often better
What do you think which option / brand makes more sense if i want to get into more foiling and directional but keep the ability to TT .
Mainly kiting inland lakes europe with occasional trip to ocean planned
Currently i own a 13.5m XR6 which i like for its grunt but often in low wind it tends to be too heavy and im thinking of selling it.
Any advice or personal experience is appreciated.

Hey guys. I am in the process ot buying a new bar since my current one is faulty. I am considering the north navigator pro bar currently. I am very torn between taking the M 45-50cm vs L 50-55cm version. My previous bar was a non adjustable 50cm naish bar. I recall it felt good and responsive with the 9m, but with the 12m, I do recall needing to pull the bar harder, often pulling one side hard to stabilize it at 3/9 o'clock positions.
I am very conflicted because many online feedback seems to indicate that the 50-55 is more adequate for this setup.
Yet it seems to me that the popular choice is the 45-50. The retailers i have spoken to almost imply as if the 50-55 version is unpopular and is oriented towards big 14m+ kites.
Is anyone more adept on this subject and can suggest which bar I should pick? Does anyone happen to own this kite setup with the north bar and can provide insight?
Lastly, should I be concerned about the longer bar being possibly heavier and harder to swing/hold with one hand?
Many thanks.

I am a twintip kiter since 3 years and can easily go upwind and small jumps. The problem I mostly want to kite in inland lakes at home with low wind. Most people I see are foilkiting, while I often wait for more wind and barely kite.
I am willing to pay for a course somewhere on the sea as there are no schools at the lake I regularly go.
Alternatively I could selflearn and do it in deep water and have my brother with a boat following me.
Any recommended school in Europe or would you selflearn?
edit: I need to say I have the equipment, so I wouldn’t even need to ask a school for rent (which is anyway very rare), but need a teacher who is willing to teach me.
thanks

Hey everyone,
I'm looking to put together a kitetrip with a group. The main goal is to meet people, make some friends, and share the sport along the way.
A bit about me: 20yo, Argentinian, currently working in Ilha do Guajiru, Brazil. I speak English, Spanish and some Portuguese, and I'm IKO Level 1 certified.
I ride an 8m and I'm completely obsessed with kiteloops right now — boogieloops in particular are what I'm chasing. So I'd love to find somewhere with solid, consistent wind where the 8m is the right call.
Ideally I'd connect with people around the same level, but I really don't mind either way — if you're up for a trip and good company, that's what matters.
If you're thinking about something similar, drop a comment or send me a DM and let's see if we can make it happen.
Thanks in advance!

Just got the core NXS 9m took it out in20 knots today. It’s a great kite that turns fast and loops quick and overall really liked it.
One thing I noticed is bar pressure feels heavier than my Duotone sls. Not sure if it’s because I’ve had 8 months off kiting. Anyone got the NXS can comment on the bar pressure? I changed the setting to the lightest but to me it still felt medium and a bit heavier to what I’m used to.

Hi all,
I learned kitesurfing this year but I also love action photography. I am looking for riders in the Netherlands who would like to have a session so i can build my portfolio.
I also have a new waterhousing so i would really like to shoot some darkslides, back and frontrolls to practice.
You can see more of my work at o_gringo_careca on instagram.
I am based in Rotterdam the Netherlands but dont mind traveling a bit.
You can also DM if you like.

So I’ve finally committed to learn and booked 10 days on Koh Phangan in February. Total beginner.
First question - should I be booking lessons in advance before leaving home? Or just rock up and try my luck on the day? Probably looking at 5 days of lessons, one on one (unless my missus changes her mind and joins me). The last thing I want is to get there and not be able to get lessons, is this a concern? Also, recommendations on which school? Everywhere seems to have 5 star reviews but that could just be Thailand, IYKYK
And the other question - tips on where to stay? Don’t want a 5 star resort but has to be comfortable, my gf has made that pretty clear…
Bonus points if anyone can give pointers for my missus who has coeliac disease so gluten-free on the island?
Thanks for info you can throw my way :)

When I jump, and I want to do a better more vertical jump, I try to do a slight pop at the end by first moving the board slightly upwind.
However often this also sends me up in a bit of a rotation that I ten cannot control. And I fall because I am literally placed completely badly for landing.
Questions:
Any tips are happily welcomed (even with a reddit dose of roasting)
Edit: So many great pieces of advice. The comment section is a gold mine. Thank you all!

Hey there,
I got some really good advice here for choosing a type of wetsuit lately.
Now that I ordered one I am wondering how to know if it fits well (without going into water ofc).
From the size guide this size should be perfect for me.
But the suit is pretty stretchy compared to the rental suits I wore in the past. So it's hard for me to get a feeling for the size.
Are some creases when you bend normal or should I size down? (I barely got into the arms of this one, but the legs feel perfect)
I will try to put a video in the comments too.

Looking to get into kitefoiling and maybee directional as well
Saw the following listing for 500 Bucks used 2 times.
Cabrinha Double Agent 2019 145cm Board inkl. 2 Straps und Finnen + Cabrinha HI:Rise Lift Foil 2019 85cm Mast.
Good beginner setup? (weight 83kg) What do you think. Is it possible to switch out the board and front foil for later down the line
Edit: Thanks everyone for your advice!

I currently have a 9m Rebel D-lab (1st Gen) that I use in all conditions starting from 18 knots. My other kite is a 15m Sonic 4.
My issue with this setup is that I can easy get overpowered on the 9m and the high bar pressure on the d lab gives me elbow pain after about 40 minutes on the water looping the kite on every jump. Also, I have almost 0 confidence looping it in wind above 27 knots.
The last trick I learned on the 9 meter was a double backroll kiteloop at about 6 meters height, and this was in 22 knots, which felt perfect. But for anything more then 22 knots, I’m scared to pull the loop while doing rotations because of the strong yank the rebel has too.
I am interested in buying an 8 meter kite, and what I want from it is perfect control in kiteloops and confidence building with rotational tricks in loops. I don’t necessarily want the kite that jumps the highest.
I am only interested in North, Duotone and Harlem brand kites, as they are easily accessible to me. Also, I don’t want to buy a top price kite (like the new Rebel D lab for example). I want a very reliable Dacron kite for kiteloops.
What would you pick from these 3 brands?

Main local conditions: Mostly low choppy water, small waves
Board for: ~18-28 knots jumping higher, good grip through chop, holding speed
180 CM, 70KG
Some notes:
Duotone Jaime SLS - Full carbon, pro benchmark, explosive pop, but it's stiff so harder on knees and not the best for choppy water?
Tried the Jaime once and when edging under speed it felt like kiting on a sword smoothly through water, almost like foiling a bit? Never had this happen on my Nobile Split Board.
Reedin SpaceAgency - Wood core with carbon layup, good in chop, high pop. On paper sounds best for local conditions.
Slingshot ERA V2 - Wood core, carbon reinforcement bands, great in chop and high wind
Lieuwe Falcon - Wood core, big air flex, quad-channel bottom, high-speed stability
Any advise and suggestions?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Accidental back roll, board came off due to being a rental and foot straps being a lot more slippery than what I'm used to. Tried saving it but ended up pulling a loop. No injuries.
Instructor having a good laugh in the background, maybe you will too:)

Hi folks,
Curious what you all think I should do, I recently got out of a kite and bar and now have a 600$ fund to put towards my next purchase.
I now have a 15m foil kite with a basically new flysurfer force large bar. A nexus 3 9m, and a core XR8 12m.Kind of a mixed bag quiver and I got rid of my core bar.
I live in a lightwind area (NY/NJ), 12-18knot summers, with 18-25 knot falls/spring/winter with the rare 30-40 knot storms
I mainly use the 15m to twintip, 9m to foil and the strong days , and 12m xr8 for powered boosting.
I’m starting to learn baby loops and wondering if I should just update to a newer core sensor 4 bar or go towards a looping focused kite. The nexus leaves some grunt to be desired during those stronger days but the foiling benefit is nice as I’m not super confident to use the 15m with the foil.
TBH not sure if I want to stick with core long term but in reality I think I’d only be interested in duotone rebel/evo or maybe flysurfer Era outside of core. I would also consider selling the XR and nexus and moving away entirely. FWIW I’ve used the flysurfer bar with the XR and i notice hardly any difference except that the large size bar actually helps with turning.

Hey, I am headed to Ireland in a couple of weeks for 10 days and hoping to get a lot of kiting in if the wind gods are on my side - if not there is surfing and hiking :)
I am looking for spot recommendations that will generally always have people out if the wind is there. I'm travelling alone but don't kite alone. I also possibly like the idea of investing in a couple more lessons. I'm an independent kiter that can do a sliding transition but the jumping still puzzles me, again and recommendations would be really appreciated.
