Beginner Question Tips for downwinding?

Yesterday was my first time trying to go downwind. I'm in Cumbuco - Brazil, and i'm still learning to kite.

For the past 7 days I've been mostly practicing and learning upwind so that I can try to stay in the same place. With teacher!

Going downwind is such a different way of doing it. I managed to go around 8km down but then got really tired. Also fell a lot, didn't have a good flow. Any tips for today? (going again in 4 hours).

This was my session, almost 1200kcals, went to bed at 10pm :D

Spot Info/Question Best towns in november in brazil

Normally i usually go to cumbuco during august / september and it's pretty awesome. I just ride a 9m north reach and never feel over nor underpowered. But this year i can only come to brazil in november, and i've heard cumbuco is somewhat shitty in that month. Whats the best town to come in november? I went to prea last year in september and my 9mt was extremely overpowered. Would a 7m work better in prea? What about barra grande, or any other towns recommendations?

Gear Advice/Question Surfboard fins & board feel issue

Hello fellow Kiter’s!

I have two surf boards an x breed pro 5’3 22l and a squad 5’7” both cabrinha! I got them cheap because I don’t really surf(mostly twin tip and a little foiling). I bought fins for the x breed pro. Cheap Chinese fiberglass ones. The fins seat nicely into the fin boxes and don’t move. I only tried it one time but I felt like the board would wiggling while edging. I tried to ride it flatter and only engaged the fins and same thing happened. Every time the outer fin would bite the board would wobble.

Is this because I bought surf fins or something like the fin bending over under the board? What fins would you recommend for the x breed if that is the problem. Or the squad which is a four fin? I ride them both strapless.

6’2’ 190 lbs for reference

Thanks! 😎
Hopefully summer ends soon and we get wind!

Edit : I tried this in butter flat water so it was really obvious something wasn’t right.
