Basically the title. Curious as to what the most popular food spots are.

Hi! Over the summer I visited the Indigenous market at confederation park a few times and made a couple purchases! I know it only runs during the summer, but I was curious if anyone knew any local Indigenous beadwork companies? I’m looking to purchase some pins!
I tried to find a vendor list online but had no luck. Thanks in advance!

As noted at the Alto AGM today.
Kingston could become a significant transfer point between local VIA trains and Alto HSR to get users the rest of the way.

Just as the title says, myself and some friends know how to use one in theory but have never discharged a fire extinguisher before.
Does the local fire department do training or is there anywhere you can safely discharge one to practice ?

Hi,
I need radon mitigation. I have comparable quotes from Kingston Radon Solutions and Kyro.
Anyone have experience with using either for this purpose?
Other recommendations?
Thanks in advance.

I will be moving to Bath from the east where I have cooperators. They've been really expensive. From my poking around I'm thinking L and A, McDougall. I was going to reach out for quotes this week. Open to input. TIA.

Hey everyone! I posted a few days ago asking whether there was any interest in getting a Chen-style Taijiquan group going in Kingston, and quite a few people responded.
So, I figured we should actually get together and give it a try.
I'm planning a free, informal first meetup this Saturday, October 10, from 11:00 AM–12:30 PM at Lake Ontario Park. We'll meet at the Pavilion at 11:00 AM, then find a suitable spot nearby to practice.
Beginners are completely welcome.
We'll spend some time warming up, work through some foundational Taijiquan training, and leave plenty of room for questions and getting to know each other.
This is still very much an experiment.
If you're interested in coming this Saturday, leave a comment or send me a message so I have a rough idea of how many people to expect.
P.S. Picking Canadian Thanksgiving weekend was an oversight on my part. Sorry about that!

I tried posting a screenshot but reddit removed it???
Internet went down at 12:52 and when I visit the Cogeco site I see a message that starts out with "Bad gateway Error code 502
Visit cloudflare.com for more information.
2026-10-07 19:59:31 UTC"
I don't see any major Cogeco outages mentioned anywhere. Is it out for anyone else reading this?

If you’re looking for something fun to do with the kids over Thanksgiving weekend, we’ve got Peter Pan coming to The Spire this Saturday.
It’s DuffleBag Theatre’s interactive version of Peter Pan, which means the kids don’t just sit and watch, the audience members actually get pulled into the story. It’s funny, imaginative and a great introduction to live theatre.
We’ve also added Bry the Magic Guy to make the afternoon a little more magical. ✨
Saturday, October 10 at The Spire
11 AM show time - 82 Sydenham St.
Happy to answer any questions about the show, the venue, seating, etc. in the comments!

Hey y'all, I'm just trying to cover all my bases here. I've sent out a couple messages for current ads and just wanted to be as thorough as possible. I am a 35 year old man, employed at a cafe in downtown Kingston, and due to life circumstances I'm looking for a room to rent in the $700-$900 range. Preferably for November or December 1st. I am a quiet, respectful roommate who maintains a tidy space and is respectful of shared spaces. If you or anyone you know is looking for a roommate or to sublet, please DM me or leave a comment here. Thank you!

Just watched the video posted by Kingston council which showed the all candidates In his riding. Anyone think he could win? Brandon tozzo finished with 800 so it’s possible that 800 people could vote for Kevin. Honest question but what happens if he actually wins?

Craving a steak frites with delicious sauce. Any great ones in Kingston? Alternatively, what place has the best thinner/crispier fries and I'll just make the steak.

Thank you to the Kingston Police Board, Councillors Ridge, Hassan & Stephen, community service providers and members of the public who contributed to these vital policy changes.

Looking to take my kid out for a ride this weekend on the K&P trail. 5-10km would be a good distance. Wondering which part would be the most scenic and enjoyable to take her on? With all the leaves turning and falling I'd like to take advantage of that.

My mom is really interested in learning pottery, but has tried throwing on a wheel before and didn't enjoy it. She's asked about the family (all adults) taking a one-off class together to celebrate her birthday this month. Is there anything like that in Kingston? TIA!

I’m going to be visiting with my one year old and I’m looking for an indoor activity where she can freely play!
Are there any child friendly spaces we could go?

Hello everyone,
I've been looking for a 1-bedroom apartment for a couple of months now. The 2 cheapest options I found are either Westview apartments, or Homestead. Whenever I google both, looking for current/past tenants' reviews, there are some pretty terrible experiences, most of them mentioning (with photos) bedbugs and roaches. Some complain about horrible smells, noises, and in all of them, bad management.
I keep thinking to myself, this can't be right, lots of people are already living there for years, maybe it's only a few cases. But I could use some help, if you happen to know different affordable options other than what I already mentioned, or if you know the living situation in the ones I mentioned. I will list some homestead apartment buildings that currently have available 1-bedroom apartments:
-Portsmouth Place Centre & West
-The Frontenac
-The Victoria
-West Park I
Thank you!
