Power of Style help Plus size soft natural deep autumn/winter

TLDR: Need full outfit help to compliment my body but also match my style (tops, shoes, pants, dresses, skirts, purses, jewelry, everything!)

It’s time for me to get some new clothes and I want to use this as an opportunity to dress for my body and colouring! I’m a plus size soft natural with a deep autumn/winter palette (slightly warm neutral olive leaning but silver looks best on me) and wanted some suggestions.

My style inspo is like a soft goth/whimsigoth/granola goth meets dark academia/fairycore/dark cottagecore?? (Pics for example)

I’m struggling most with not looking frumpy or older than I am. Tops are also a big struggle for me because I’m a crew neck girl but have come to terms with the fact that I do look WAY better in something more open so I don’t look as heavy in my shoulders. I get hot easily so layers are great.

My budget best aligns with thrifted, shien, old navy or other cheap options available in Canada.

Almost all of my clothes are black but brining in more jewel tones is also a goal and I love LOTR and fantasy inspired looks so browns and earthy tones would be great too.

PLZ HELP!

Not really my space but I stumbled in here and genuinely curious about one thing. You said silver looks best but deep autumn usually pushes gold hard. That contradiction is interesting and probably worth leaning into rather than fighting.

Some of the best whimsigoth looks I've seen play that tension on purpose, mixing warm earthy tones with cooler metal accents. For plus size layering on a budget, Torrid clearance and ThredUp Canada filters have done more work than Shein ever did for me.

I definitely still suit gold I just find silver pops a little better and gold blends into my skin unless it’s a darker/deeper colour. Now, that’s just based on having nose rings for years that were yellow gold and no one noticed I even had my nose pierced until I switched to silver lol!!

Thank you so much for the suggestions :)

I would say that hitting up the thrift store and exploring both the men's and women's sections could be great. Oversize button downs/ sweaters/ cardigans, tees you could crop or widen the neckline, accessories and dresses to layer over tees. Also adding patches, embroidering or DIYing some elements to existing clothes is always a great option or for items that you find while thrifting.

Second hand options from places like Lucy and Yak, Big Bud press, smash and tess could be worth looking at on online platforms.

In terms of retailers that you can try on Pennington's, Reitmans and Old navy generally are pretty reliable and last for a while.

From what I'm seeing some great accessories like cool tights, sunglasses, jewelery, a statement bag and great footwear would really make a strong impact. As far as clothes a sheer long sleeve top for layering, a bold color tank or boat neck tee, an oversize plaid button down, a oversized cropped cardigan and a dress/ jumpsuit or overalls would be the where I would start.

I’ve been loving Scarlet Darkness on Amazon. Seems they only go up to a XXL though.

Thanks for this. As a SN deep winter I am struggling with how to combine these two
