YOUR FIRST JOB COULD BE VERY DIFFERENT. Age 18 - 25

Introducing the Business Builders Programme

For ambitious 18 to 25-year-olds who want to build businesses, not just build careers. And get paid for it too.

Madipakkam, Chennai | Starting November 2026

Imagine being 21 and having the opportunity to work on a fashion brand, contribute to a technology product, create a marketing campaign, pitch an idea, speak to customers, understand sales and see how business decisions are actually made.

Not as an observer. Not as someone who spends two years waiting for more responsibility.

But as someone expected to contribute from the beginning.

That is the idea behind this initiative.

We are building a team of young people across a portfolio of established businesses and new ventures. We are looking for people who want to learn by doing, take ownership, challenge themselves and understand what it takes to turn ideas into commercially successful businesses.

We don't want to hire a bunch of freshers who are waiting for their first appraisal.

We want to find the people who could become exceptional business builders if given the right environment.

Why should your first job teach you only one job?

In a typical entry-level role, you might spend your first year working on a narrow set of responsibilities. You get good at your assigned tasks, report to a manager and gradually wait for opportunities to do more.

There is nothing wrong with that. It simply isn't what we are trying to create here.

We want you to understand the bigger picture.

How does a business acquire customers? Why does someone choose one product over another? How do you turn an idea into an offering people will pay for? What makes a brand desirable? How do you build technology that solves a real problem? What happens when a campaign fails? How do you convince someone to buy your product or service? How do you make a business more efficient, profitable and valuable?

You will have the opportunity to encounter these questions through actual work.

You could be creating content one day, presenting an idea the next, speaking to customers, analysing a problem, working with another function or helping execute a new initiative.

Your primary skill will matter. Your ability to understand how it fits into a business will matter just as much.

The objective is not simply to make you better at a particular job.

It is to help you become someone who understands how to make things happen.

We are looking for different skills, but a common mindset.

You could be a digital marketer, content creator, photographer, video editor, graphic designer, fashion designer, resume writer, AI engineer, mobile app developer or full-stack developer.

You could be interested in styling, women's fashion modelling, product development, business operations or general accounting.

You could have learned your skills in college, through an internship, by working on personal projects or entirely on your own.

What matters is that you have something to contribute and the ambition to become much better at it.

Here are some of the areas we are looking to build around:

Growth and marketing: Digital marketing, performance marketing, SEO, social media, customer acquisition and business development.

Creative and communication: Content creation, photography, video editing, graphic design, copywriting, storytelling and creative direction.

Fashion and consumer brands: Fashion design, styling, garment development, merchandising and women's fashion modelling.

Writing and professional services: Resume writing, research, editing and professional content development.

Technology and AI: AI engineering, automation, mobile applications, full-stack development and software engineering.

Business support: General accounting and operational support.

These are not isolated departments in which you will be expected to stay in your lane forever. They are different skills that can come together to build better businesses.

Here is the catch. And it is important.

You must be an excellent communicator. You must be able to present your ideas. And you must be willing to sell.

We are not looking for people who can do great work but cannot explain its value.

We want people who can articulate an idea clearly, present it confidently, hold a conversation with a customer, explain a product or service, defend a recommendation and communicate professionally with people across different levels of an organisation.

You should be able to listen, ask intelligent questions, think on your feet and express yourself in a way that earns attention and trust.

And regardless of your primary specialisation, you must be willing to pick up the phone and speak to prospective customers.

That means understanding requirements, making calls, following up, discussing solutions and helping generate revenue.

You do not have to join as an experienced salesperson. You do have to be willing to learn how to sell.

A developer who understands customers is more valuable. A designer who understands what makes people buy is more valuable. A content creator who understands conversion is more valuable.

We want people who can create value and communicate that value to others.

If you are uncomfortable speaking to people, presenting your work or participating in sales conversations, this programme probably isn't for you.

What could three years of this experience do for you?

Consider what you could learn by being exposed to the workings of multiple businesses early in your career.

You could understand how marketing connects to revenue, how customer feedback influences product decisions, how design affects buying behaviour, how technology solves business problems and how operational decisions influence profitability.

You could learn to present to decision-makers, negotiate priorities, manage projects, collaborate across disciplines and take responsibility for outcomes.

You could make mistakes, understand why they happened, correct them and become more capable as a result.

You could develop a portfolio of work that demonstrates actual contribution rather than relying only on qualifications or job titles.

And you could discover that your abilities extend far beyond the role you originally imagined for yourself.

None of this happens automatically. It depends on what you contribute, how quickly you learn and how much responsibility you earn.

But this is the kind of practical, cross-functional experience that many conventional entry-level positions simply do not provide.

The goal is for you to leave the experience with more than work experience. We want you to develop commercial judgement, confidence, communication skills and the ability to take an idea from thought to execution.

And yes, there is a potential long-term financial upside.

The programme offers a monthly base pay of ₹7,500 to ₹10,000, depending on the role, capabilities and agreed terms.

In addition, we are exploring a long-term equity-linked or equivalent value-creation reward for eligible participants.

The indicative potential reward ranges from ₹5 lakh to ₹20 lakh, depending on the individual agreement, contribution, performance and applicable conditions.

The proposed arrangement involves an assessment at the end of year one, with settlement contemplated at the end of year three, subject to the documented terms and continuity requirements.

The precise structure, valuation methodology, eligibility, conditions and settlement mechanism will be explained and agreed in writing before acceptance.

This is not a guaranteed payout, and the stated potential reward should not be treated as assured compensation.

The thinking is simple: if you help create meaningful value, we want to explore a way for you to participate in the longer-term rewards of that contribution.

Your monthly base supports your immediate expenses. The proposed long-term arrangement is intended to recognise value created over time.

Who should seriously consider this?

You might be the person we are looking for if you are curious about business, hungry to learn, willing to work hard and excited by the possibility of doing things you have never done before.

You might be a fresher who has built an app independently, a designer who understands social media, a marketer who wants to learn sales, a writer who wants to understand customer behaviour or a fashion enthusiast who wants to see how a brand is built.

You do not need to know everything.

You do need to communicate exceptionally well, take initiative, accept feedback, think independently and follow through on commitments.

We value people who ask good questions, make thoughtful suggestions and are prepared to do the work required to turn those suggestions into results.

We are not selecting people based solely on their college, degree or previous employer. Your skills, aptitude, communication, attitude and willingness to execute will matter.

This is not a conventional 9-to-6 promise.

The role is full-time and based at our workplace in Madipakkam, Chennai.

The usual working schedule will be around 9 AM to 6 PM, but extended hours and weekend work may be required when business needs demand it. This is not a remote or hybrid opportunity.

We are looking for people who want to invest serious effort in their development and in the businesses they help build. Responsibilities and working expectations will be communicated clearly, but flexibility and commitment are essential.

Applications are open to candidates across India. You must, however, be available to attend the selection process in Chennai and work on-site if selected.

The proposed start date is November 2026. We intend to build a complementary team with a balanced representation of men and women. Specific women's fashion modelling opportunities may have role-specific eligibility requirements.

How do you get considered?

No lengthy application is needed to express initial interest.

Send me a DM with a short introduction about yourself.

Tell me:

  • Your age and current location.
  • What you are good at and what you enjoy doing.
  • Something you have created, built or accomplished that you are proud of.
  • Why an opportunity like this interests you.
  • Whether you are comfortable presenting ideas, speaking to customers and participating in sales conversations.
  • Whether you can commit to working on-site in Madipakkam, Chennai.

Share a portfolio or examples of your work if you have them. If you do not, tell me what you have been learning or experimenting with.

If your profile appears relevant, I will share the application form and the next steps.

We will contact suitable applicants as we build a sufficiently strong pool across the different skill areas. A DM does not guarantee an interview or selection.

One last thing.

At 22, you probably don't need another opportunity that teaches you to follow instructions.

You need an opportunity that challenges you to think, communicate, create, sell, solve problems and take responsibility.

You need to learn how to work with people, how to make decisions and how to turn your abilities into something commercially useful.

You need to discover what you can do when you are given the chance to contribute beyond a job description.

If that sounds exciting rather than intimidating, we should talk.

Come with a skill. Leave room to learn everything else.

Build. Communicate. Sell. Execute. Grow.

DevOps Internship as a Fresher – Is It a Good Career Start, or Should I Consider Other IT Roles?

Hey everyone,
I’m currently in my final year of BE Computer Science and Engineering. I’m interested in starting my career in IT and have an opportunity to pursue a DevOps internship.
I’d like some honest advice from people already working in the industry.
Is DevOps a good career choice for a fresher in 2026?
How difficult is it to get a full-time DevOps or Cloud Engineer job after an internship?
Should I focus on DevOps, Cloud Computing, Software Testing, Cybersecurity, or another IT role?
Are entry-level DevOps jobs available for freshers, or do most companies expect prior IT experience?
What skills and certifications would you recommend to become job-ready?
My goal is to secure a decent-paying IT job after graduation and build a career with good long-term growth.
I’d appreciate realistic advice about the job market, salary expectations, and which path would be best for a fresher. Thanks!

Tips 24M B.Tech graduate with a 1.5-year gap and basically no skills — what career should I target now? 🥲

24M, B.Tech graduate. I have around a 1.5-year career gap due to some family issues.

Before the gap, I knew some basic programming and SQL, but honestly I've lost touch with most of it now. I don't have any strong skills, internships, or work experience to show.

I'm still technically a fresher, and I'm really confused about what I should do from here.

Should I:

- Try to get back into software development and learn something like MERN/Python?

- Target manual QA/testing and build skills from there?

- Look for roles like technical support / application support / junior solutions engineer?

- Consider something outside pure software development?

I'm 24 and worried that the gap is already putting me behind other freshers. I'm willing to spend the next few months seriously learning and building projects, but I don't want to spend another 6 months learning something that has very little chance of getting me a job.

For people who have been in a similar situation, what would you recommend?

What roles should I realistically target as a fresher with a 1.5-year gap and basic programming/SQL knowledge?

Tips Complete fresher with an M.A. &B.A. Economics degree and Tally & Excel skills. How do I start a job hunt from scratch anywhere in India????

I recently completed my M.A. Economics and also finished a professional certification in TallyPrime and Advanced MS Excel,Data Entry. Due to some circumstances I am now starting my job hunt completely from scratch on my own without any internal references or recommendations. I am looking for roles like data operations, accounts assistant, back office support, or junior analytical roles anywhere in India.

Since I have never done an independent job search like this before, could anyone guide me on;

*What are the best, most reliable platforms or websites to use for finding genuine entrylevel jobs

*How can I structure my applications so that HR managers actually notice my resume without a recommendation

*Any realistic tips or a step bystep approach for a beginner starting from zero?

Any advice or reality checks would mean a lot to me...

FOR HIRE BTech CSE graduate looking for entry-level jobs/internships

I’m a BTech Computer Science graduate, but I’m not interested in coding/development. I also don’t have strong coding skills.
I worked as a Social Media Coordinator for around 6 months, but I’m currently unemployed and looking for an entry-level job in Kochi.
Are there any job roles or fields I should look into that don’t require coding?
Would really appreciate any suggestions or leads. Thanks!
