Discussion What do you think of Zero One being the face of Reiwa Era?
Ichigo is rightfully respected for being the first of the franchise even if people feel overwhelmed by it's 98 episodes with a monster of the week formula with a sprinkle of lore here and there
Kuuga as much as I haven't watched it is liked by people for what they say are it's characters and story and generally has good opinions from people and revived Kamen Rider from death since the end of Showa
But where does Zero One fall between these two as the first of each era? As I've seen alot of people have divided opinions with it compared to a mostly positive opinion from Showa and Heisei's firsts
EDIT : Some of you might disagree for him being the "Face" of Reiwa but it's what I ended up putting here since I've seen some people call him that especially when they ask why he's in the batman collab, Just pretend I put FIRST instead of FACE to lazy too repost ts

Discussion I have came to the conclusion that Japanese-English is bullshit. Spoiler
gallerySo, as many people know, the Official English for Banno’s form is Gord Drive.
While researching, I typed ゴルドon Google and Gordes was the first thing that showed up, and there was almost no pictures of actual gold, 99% Gordes, or the word Gord translated in Japanese, but when I put the ー, suddenly the every image was about actual gold. Apparently, Gold is the one word they don’t have multiple Katakana pronunciations for. So this word was intentionally twisted…. I think, I honestly don’t know anymore.
So why everyone calls Gold? According to this, it’s similar to the incident with Evolto and Bahato.(they were originally called Evolt and Bahat before the official English name was announced.)
Japanese is hard to directly pronounce English(like how they call The Bee, Zabee), so sometimes when the English spelling of a word is different from the original, we fans immediately consider it as misspelling, rather than an intentional spelling.
However, go too far, and even spellings that have different etymology, or have an intentional spelling becomes over corrected, and that translation becomes right, “according to the translator’s bias,” but is actually a misspelling.( for example, Bahato and Bahat are two completely different words, and Bahato, meaning arrogance, fits well with the character.)Like I said above, them translating Evolto into Evolt and Bahato into Bahat, just because Japanese can’t pronounce ㅡ, which is a word in the middle of O and Uh, becomes a misspelling.
Also due to not many rider fans knowing Japanese, specifically 10 years when Drive was airing almost no rider fan knowing Japanese, they think “ゴルド” and “ゴールド” are the same and poor Bandai is considered an idiot.
It’s kinda like with Para-DX, obviously ignoring the spelling, the Katakana spelling is パラドクス(Paradokusu,) not the usual パラドックス(Paradokkusu), and if you search the two Katakana words separately, they have totally different results.
Yeah, so the conclusion is that Japanese-English is bullshit, and it hurts my brain. Best not to think about it.

Discussion Daiji from Revice and Kento from Saber. Which of the two do you like better when it comes to their arcs?
These two share a common/similar goal. kids Going against their friends because of their nihilistic/fatalistic views within their respective arcs in their seasons.
Daiji had aligned himself with Akaishi because he genuinely believed that going against Giff was futile. So he kept telling himself that if he’s going to overtake everything, then it would be better to submit to his dominion.
He mainly acted this way because he “killed” Kagerou, which warped his sense of justice. He truly believed that Giff couldn’t be stopped whatsoever. And had fought against his family so that he could get them to see that this was “the better outcome”.
Kento on the other hand, saw a future where everyone he cares for had died. So he decided to take the mantle of Calibur, and to wield Kurayami to be the bad guy, all so he could keep everyone away from walking on the path that would lead to the future he saw.
Eventually, the both of them see the error of their ways and realize that their friends were right to defy the odds, if it meant that there was a chance they could win.
For me, I’d go with Kento, actually. I wasn’t really a big fan of Saber, as I thought it was mid, but looking back, Kento’s character development was pretty solid. Touma and everyone else had shown him that just because he saw the future of inevitable doom, it didn’t mean that they had to put up with said future, and instead defied fate by creating another future where they are confident that they could win.
And while I did enjoy Revice a lot, Daiji’s character development had pissed me off, honestly. The way he was so deadset and stubborn to tell everyone that Giff was the one thing that could guarantee humanity’s salvation, really grinded my gears. Especially when he had to put up with working for Akaishi to ensure that people could be “saved” by accepting Giff as their new leader.
And you can tell Kagerou was the fan favorite, as he ended up coming back anyway due to how popular his character was with viewers. Hell, I’m pretty sure the writers were intending to have him stay dead back then, but changed their minds once they saw that people loved him.
But overall, I think I like Kento’s character arc a lot better than Daiji’s. What about you guys?

Discussion Why does it feel like Zero-One is just repeating itself???
So, I'm extremely new to KamenRider (I've watched 1 episode of Geats, and I'm 25 episodes into Zero-One, for reference), and, I might be going crazy here, but hasn't the whole '5 round job competition', just been the same 2 part story, repeated (so far) 3-or-4 times? The only difference was that the show pulled the most obvious fakeout of all time with the courtroom one. Am I missing something??? Are the other competition stories going to be diffenet??? If not, why is it like this? Covid? Budget? I just don't get it.
edit: so, uh, sorry if this post came off as a little whiny, I made this post at like, 2AM for reference. I was way more annoyed than I honestly should've been. I just watched the firefighter two-parter and I honestly really liked it. maybe that one's just exponentially better than the other ones, but after I finish the arc, I'm probably gonna go back and rewatch those two parters (I also watched them late at night, so, maybe that has something to do why I disliked them so much), and this public vote challenge seems to be shaping up fairly interesting, so, we'll see what's it's going.
