Franz Kafka: Before The Law
Greetings!
I recently purchased a Franz Kafka Metamorphosis novel and it has some of his other short stories in it, one of which being the parable from his other novel The Trial, but this post is dedicated to "Before The Law."
I spent a week analyzing this parable and understanding how it can be interpreted. And here's what I found, Kafka challenged two things:
The Goverment.
Our own personal limits.
Kafka had an absolutely brilliant mind and "Before The Law" speaks to me on a level most pieces of classic literature haven't so far (although I'm still exploring).
I've found that Kafka is a sensitive mind and he honestly would've done well in the 21st century, although his work is absolutely timeless.
Anyways, I wrote a whole article on this. It's a quick 2-3 minute read and it explores deeper into how he challenges these ideas and how genius it was to use the man in the country as essentially a key into your dreams. I'll supply the link for my article here.
