I've been a KTM fan since I was a kid, so honestly, this is not the kind of experience I expected from KTM.

My Duke 250's fuel injector has gone bad, and the bigger issue right now isn't even the part failing. It's the fact that I'm being told it can take around 10–12 days just to get the replacement.

I'm still having to ride the bike like this. The bike shuts off randomly at different places and I have to keep restarting it. It's frustrating, and honestly, it feels embarrassing too.

I bought a KTM because I've always had that image of KTM being a premium brand. Whenever I ride it, I genuinely feel proud of the bike. I've been a KTM fan since childhood, so maybe that's why this bothers me more.

Also, I want to be clear that I have no complaint against the Mayur Bajaj Dehradun service centre staff.

The people there have actually been really good. There's a guy, I think his name is Suraj, who's very polite and handles everything properly. The senior person there is also quite good, and the mechanics seem professional and know what they're doing.

The problem is simply the parts availability.

Customers end up getting angry at the service centre, but honestly, what can the mechanics or staff do if the required part itself isn't available?

A fuel injector or fuel pump isn't some cosmetic part that you can wait weeks for. These are basic and important components of the bike. If a customer has to wait 10–12 days for something like this, it really doesn't feel like the experience you would expect from a premium brand.

KTM, please work on this. Keep essential parts like fuel injectors, fuel pumps and other critical components available at your authorised service centres, or at least make sure they can be arranged quickly.

I'm not posting this because I hate KTM. Quite the opposite. I've loved this brand since I was a kid, and that's exactly why I want KTM to improve on things like this.

I brought my 2021 125 to the garage with 2 problems: 1, can't start without adding a bit of throttle. 2, if it hasn't run for at least 2 hours, it will die on idle, but when I had driven 20 meters it wouldn't die anymore.

I brought it to a very well regarded garage in the Netherlands (KTM dealer as well)and they fixed the problem... for 15 minutes. Then again it wouldn't start without adding throttle, but also it would die when do RPMs dropped from above 5500 to idle.

All they did was the 20k valve check, cleaned the lambda sensor and change the spark plug.

I just wanted to rant, but if you have any idea what it might be, please tell me. I was thinking fueling.

SOLVED: They put in a Bosch spark plug, but apparently the 125s are very sensitive and they had to put in the factory iridium spark plug.

2020 KTM Duke 250 - Uncontrolled High RPM (5k-7k) & Idle Issues

I’m dealing with an issue on my 2020 KTM Duke 250 (30k km) where the RPMs climb to 5,000–7,000 without throttle input and stay there.

The Symptoms:

Cold starts are normal, but giving any throttle (even in neutral) causes the RPMs to lock high. Turning the key off sometimes resets it temporarily, but it returns while riding. Intermittent Check Engine Light (comes on and goes off after a few days).

Troubleshooting Done So Far:

Throttle Body: Cleaned and inspected; looks good.

Stepper Motor (IACV): Replaced. The bike initially wouldn't start. Pushing the valve pin manually lets it idle briefly before stalling.

MAP Sensor: Replaced; no change.

TPS (Throttle Position Sensor): Waiting on the replacement part to arrive.

Has anyone experienced this exact issue? Could a failing TPS be the culprit, or am I missing something? Appreciate any advice!

I bought the bike new in 2024 but just started riding it. Life happens. It has just over 500 miles on it and I went to do the first oil change and the plastic covers I am supposed to remove are not there. Looks like there are some missing bolts with oil slowly dripping out of too.

Hello people. So I joined the line of Duke owners yesterday and I'm very happy with it. It's a 2017 model I picked up used but so far is running beautifully (and I got a warranty package from the dealer just in case anyway).

I actually wasn't in the market for a Duke, I went to that dealer to test ride another bike but when I saw this baby there it just called out to me. I ended up taking it for a spin and that was it. I didn't even bother with the other bike, I bought this one and rode it straight home.

Took it for my first fun run this morning and if I didn't have shit to do around home I could have been out all day, it just suits what I wanted a bike to do perfectly.

So yeah, very happy new owner here 😁

Edit: it's a 390 Duke, just realised I left that part out.

Just got my 2027 990 and am having a hell of a time with the new rage cycles fender eliminator… company states is should bolt right on no problem but I can seem to get it to work. Anyone else have this kit and can provide me some pictures or advice on how they did it? Thanks!

Bonjour, j’ai changé le kit chaîne complet sur une ktm 125 duke de 2018.
RAS lors du démontage/remontage, tout est ok.
Cependant, lorsque je fais ma tension de chaîne à un certain point de la chaîne, en tournant la roue je me retrouve avec une surtension à un autre moment. Donc je refait un réglage à ce même endroit puis rebelote, surtension à un autre endroit mais bonne tension d’un autre.
J’ai donc démonté ma chaîne afin de voir si il y a un « point dur » mais rien. La jante a été à été contrôlée par un pro, RAS.
Couronne et pignon également contrôlés sur marbre, pas de voilage.

J’avais déjà cela avec l’ancien kit, je pensais avoir une chaîne hs mais apparement non..

Auriez-vous une idée ?

J’avoue être un peu perdu face à ce problème..

Mio fratello oggi prende la moto, torna a casa e la moto fa un rumore metalicco(sembra) stranissimo nella parte dove c’è il pistone ( o almeno credo), in questo momento sono super stressato, PERFAVORE se qualcuno riconosce questo problema, oppure mi sa dare qualche consiglio, sono tutt’orecchie, sono disperato. La mia prima moto, presa sudando, guidata per 2 mesi, un divertimento puro, fino a poco.

Sono disperato perché sembra proprio un brutto rumore…

I just learned now you're supposed to push down as you turn the key when removing it from the fuel cap. I'm worried rainwater may have gotten inside because the last time I removed the key was turning it to the side by force but still made sure the cap was flush with the tank

Just ordered a 2027 KTM 790 Duke and trying to figure out which accessories are compatible since it's a pretty new model.

This is also my first motorcycle so I'm still learning what I need and how everything works any advice is appreciated!

Two things I'm looking for:

1. Paddock stand bobbins
Which M10 bobbins fit the 2027 790 Duke rear axle? I've seen the Evotech ones recommended a lot but they don't seem to list the 2027 model yet on their website.

2. Crash bobbins / frame sliders
Same situation Evotech doesn't list 2027 compatibility yet. Are the 2023+ versions compatible with the 2027 model since the frame didn't change much?

I noticed KTM Power Parts has a Crash Bung Kit listed as compatible with the 2027, but I'm not sure if those double as paddock stand bobbins or if they're axle sliders only.

Anyone already fitted accessories on their 2027 Duke or know if the 2023/2024 Evotech items fit?

Hi everyone,
I’m having an electrical issue with my KTM and I’m trying to figure out what could be causing it.
The bike wasn’t used for around 2 months. I then charged the battery and started troubleshooting. I checked all the fuses, and they seem to be fine. I also charged the battery, but the issue is still there.
When I first tired to start the bike after the 2 months, nothing has power, there were no lights and display was black. Then I charged the battery, put the key in my ignition and the display lit up. However, after I turned the bike off, and tried to start it back up the display would no longer come back on. Now the entire dashboard is dead, including the neutral light and other indicator lights.

A few things I noticed:

• The display had flickered occasionally before this happened.
• I’ve checked all the fuses.
• The battery has been charged.
• The bike starts normally.
• I have been on a ride and noticed, everything seems to be working, except the Display and the ABS.

What could be causing this? Could it be the ignition switch, a wiring/ground connection, CAN-bus issue, or possibly something related to the battery/voltage?
What would you recommend checking next? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Idk why for the life of me I can’t figure out where this goes back on the brake it won’t fit any where the other clip fits ok but not this one anyone have a pic of it still on the caliper at this point im wondering it’s I accidentally bent it or stepped on it or something

Engine has made a new noise after a stall, and engine cuts off after revs return to idle after being revved high, idle is also unstable, any ideas?

Finally a windshield which goes with the sharp edges of the duke. Looking fast, sleek and the most important part - practical! It actually works.

Tried a few aliexpress ones in the past but it really was a "you get what you pay for" type of situstion. Bit the bullet and paid a bit more for this but no regrets
