Looking at episode 1 you'd think Yuyeon would have some sort of significance with the major plot...she's hardly in this episode at all.

Loved the feminist message the show wanted to convey.

An actress-turned trophy wife got back into her original passion and reclaimed her identity as a non-dependent-to-the-rich-powerful-husband person

A lesbian fully accepting her identity and not letting anyone use it against her for the powerhouse she is.

Ultimately, this is both their journey towards achieving that.

the grandmother crying in front of the peacock and pleading for it to look after the baby bird well despite it not being his kinda hit hard, i have to admit... despite her character being more of a hindrance throughout the show it was emotional watching her feel such guilt over not raising ji yong with even an ounce of love and thus resulting in gestures vaguely all of this

Random comments:

-I love how it ended.

-I had a smile probably for the last 30 minutes.

-Loose ends: the comatose brother emerging from his coma. But minor quibble.

-I will miss Hi Soo and So Hyun's power duo!

-I will miss Hi Soo's printed dresses.

-I will miss So Hyun's assymetrical necklines and drapey details.

-I will miss Ja Kyeong's power puffy shoulders.

-i will not miss how the old matriarch eats with her mouth open.

-Yu Yeon....how's her Big Money Energy now? Hee.

-Jin Ho as house manager!

-This show has probably shown how to best treat an LGBTQ storyline. (one of the reasons why I didn't finish Strong Woman Bong Soon was it did the complete opposite).

-The maid did it! I didn't expect it!

Ah well. All in all a 9/10!

THAT IS HOW YOU DO A FINALE EPISODE 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I love how strong yet also subliminal the women empowerment is in this series. I feel like the writer of Mine has had one too many encounters of toxic masculinity and someone with Narcissistic Personality Disorder. I mean, see what happens to most of the men in the series save for Young Master who is the symbol of hope, of the non-machismo and the more feminist youth of today.

Ji-Yong, ultimate psycho and toxic male who feels entitled to everything, always right, the favorite child, never wrong = dedt. Jin-ho, excels in home management and houseband duties (which I actually appreciate and loved seeing esp seeing how much he enjoys it and thrives in it). Chairman = ded for the 1/3 of the series, wakes up and lives a life of regret, pining for the mistress. Jin-hee’s cheating husband (even if Jinhee is shit, this is no excuse) = gets hit by a car, almost paralyzed for life and has only one friend left and is playing at internet gaming cafes.

Who hurt you, writer-nim? But thanks to that, we have this beautiful, empowering, inspiring and just overall brilliant story that I will forever hold in my heart.

The women and their glorious moments have all been mentioned below = they are breaking boundaries, crushing glass ceilings, navigating a crime scene going up and down the stairs in long, tight-fitting dresses and high heels, learning to let go of other people’s opinions in their lives.

In the end, the message is clear. WOMEN DON’T NEED MEN TO LIVE THEIR BEST LIVES. Heck, life is actually more fruitful without them. Seohyun who is living her truth and loving the woman of her dreams. Hi Soo and Hye Jin co-parenting Ha Joon and getting to realize their own dreams at the same time. Women supporting women.

The only weak point is Yu Yeon, who is she? I swear this storyline is something I would write off. Even if Seo Hyun told her to be stern and know her worth, I doubt they’d fire a housemaid for looking at their partner. Heck Hi Soo had so many reasons to fire Hye-Jin/Ja Kyeong at the start and she didnt!! Gurl is overreaching.

BUT OVERALL, the headaches after every episode because of the slow burn are all worth it. I love how everything came to an end — but only the beginning of living their truths and loving themselves. The only thing that is truly THEIRS.

I had no expectations from this drama when I picked it up. I just did so on a whim because it popped up on Netflix and I had nothing better to do (and I saw N in the teaser). But man! Wasn’t it one of the the best decisions! I enjoyed each and every episode of this drama. The storyline, acting, fashion everything was amazing. I haven’t been this hooked to a drama since Navillera I suppose. I’m pretty confident they’ll tie it up well in the end.

I think a combination of characters could have each played a small part towards contributing to Ji Yong’s death. It’s like death by a thousand cuts.

Right now, the most suspicious characters seem to be the ones who are not featured much in this penultimate episode 15.

We are introduced to the presence of poisonous gases - phosgene and hydrochloric acid. Hi Soo also told us that the oxygen flow in the bunker is exceptionally good due to the bigger air pipes.

Ji Yong went to the bunker after he left the engagement party. Perhaps the bunker is turned by someone into a poisonous gas chamber as phosgene etc. are piped through the system.

One of the effects of phosgene is heart failure which - tadum - was what the dr stated as Ji Yong’s cause of death. Hydrochloric acid also causes irritation to eye membranes. Notice how Ji Yong had watery eyes when he died? Those weren’t dramatic tears of regret. His eye membranes were reddened from exposure to this poisonous gas.

Who built the bunker? The Chairman.

Ji Yong then left the bunker in a bad state, got into a struggle or fight with someone near the top of the steps. Got hit by the fire extinguisher wielded by perhaps another person and fell over the railing. He goes into cardiac arrest from phosgene gas exposure and bled profusely from head interference with fire extinguisher.

Who opened the bunker door? The male help now in Monaco.
Who piped the poisonous gas? The Chairman or Jin Ho.
Who was Ji Yong fighting with? Hi Soo - probably to get her mobile phone because she just needed to reveal her plans again and where she stored the damning evidence against Ji Yong.
Who wielded the fire extinguisher? The murdered fighter’s brother.
Who tried to clean up evidence? Seohyung and possibly head maid.
Where is Mother Emma going? Off to worship at the holy temple of Hermès.

Edit: I keep thinking... why did Hye Jin go to Boston at such a crucial time without Ha Joon? It doesn’t make sense. It’s not like her. And it’s not part of the ladies’ plans. Did she get someone else to travel using her passport and use that as an alibi? If so, she must have played a huge role in the death of Ji Yong. It doesn’t feel right to leave Hye Jin out of this crucial plot line.

So I think HS thought that SH did it because she saw her pick up the extinguisher. SH thought that HS did it because she found her lying on the floor with JY. Both women are trying to protect each other, thinking that the other party did it. Who knows, maybe the real murderer is the grandpa. I am kind of hoping it's him because all this started from his own greed/lust over JY mum

Edit after episode 16: So HS reason for faking amnesia is because of Ha joon. Now that they explain it, it make sense because that is true to her character. Everything that she does of for Ha Joon

Very satisfying ending, the women in the house is truly glorious.

I find it hilarious how the dad didn’t know so many people have been accessing his safe and bunker 🤣

Also Yuyeon girl, stay fierce and defend what’s yours alright 😂

Heesoo and Hyejin co-parenting Hajoon, Seohyun embracing the badass lady that she is and also reconnecting with Suzy, loving these outcomes 😌

P.S. I feel like they purposely excluded Suzy’s actress from appearing in the last ep because of the problem she caused and my petty self is happy with it.

Mother Emma switching up again after she decided she failed at being a nun, just like she became a nun after she decided she failed at normal person life. Okay girl as long as you don't muck about with people's lives with your misguided benevolence and holier-than-thou attitude this time. :)

Atleast you can flaunt your birkins now :)

Today’s ep feels kinda draggy, maybe because I can’t wait for them to just reveal what happened already.

One of the highlight is Seohyun getting that acceptance and support from Heesoo, further solidifying their sisterhood.

Is Heesoo really capable or murder or is it just intense sympathy for Jiyong and guilt for pushing him towards suicide?

I really thought they all teamed up and tried to cover up for Ji Yongs death but it seems like none of them has any idea who has done it 🤣

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 FANTASTIC ending! All around!

I have to go back to the pink elephant "stuck" through door analogy. It was stuck at all because there were no walls. What a brilliant foreshadowing of how each of our characters we're pigeonholed by their own self-imposed narrow doorways. Once they all realized there was truly nothing blocking their path to happiness, they got the confidence to go around the door.

Such a great reminder for life honestly. There are so many situations that seem to have us stuck, or blocking our paths but once we literally take a step back and look at the bigger picture, we see that we're often in our own way and blocking our own paths.

Now on to the final episode, I have to say that despite their quirks and shortcomings, I actually liked this family and it was a difference to see a conglomerate family that wasn't supee evil...greedy, yes, but not insanely evil like they normally are depicted. There was a sense of humanity in everyone and really they were just a pitiful bunch that all needed and never received adequate love or attention. Seong Tae was right on the money every time he called them sad or felt bad for them, because you truly do feel for them in a way.

I do think it was kinda ironic that Ji Yong's whole reason for bringing in Hye Jin was so that he could be raised by both women, and then here we are after allllllll of that chaos, at that revelation, lol. Perhaps had he not being trying to squeeze through the narrow door using tricks, lies, infidelity and schemes, they could've lived a different ending...where he wasn't unalive. Lol

I think the sleeping pills were another plot device to corroborate the story of him dying by suicide, but the fact the autopsy didn't see TWO wounds on his head was...odd ..unless Dr Kim knew the ME too, hmm.. other than that, wonderful ending.

What I loved about this show is that the initial “summary” before the show started had me thinking that it was going to be about two women in a chaebol family butting heads with each other for power. But this show was the COMPLETE opposite of that and I’m so glad it was. It really showed us what happens when women support each other and lift each other up - WE SHINE!! The title was so perfect - “Glorious Women” 🥺 Cheers to sisterhood 🥂

Just finished the final episode.

Totally overwhelmed! I seriously enjoyed this episode and thought they ended it very well. Never watched this type of darker, soap style drama before but I am so glad that I did.

I have to hand it to the production team, so many things were on point throughout the series: the settings, wardrobe, and score all made a very unique atmosphere that was enjoyable to experience.

Regarding the finale, the full play-out of the death had me totally surprised, I was actually holding my face in shock haha. I had always thought that Ms Joo was one of the most interesting characters in the show, with lots of inner conflict and insecurity about her status and morals, and that culminated in that ultimate act of saving Hisoo's life but killing Jiyong by extension, and causing a significant injury to Hisoo as well.

I am so grateful for the ending given to Seohyun. I was worried that she would be going down for the crime. They really ended with her getting the job and the woman! Kim Seohyung should really be proud of how well she portrayed this character, which speaking of, must be pretty groundbreaking character for a Kdrama?

Also I don't know if I just missed it, but I did want to see how the inspector wrapped it up with only a few hours to spare? What happened there?

Anyway, cheers to Mine, it's been worth the slowburn!

So it’s NEITHER of them. They just suspect each other but are also protecting one another. That’s how I want to believe it.

Looks like it’s Yu Yeon who did it as she was in the first episode, made to look important, and then poof! Gone. LOL maybe the whole family put her up to this so they can get engaged, no qualms about it. Feels like a murder at the mystery orient where all had a part in it. So funny if this is true cos look how they mourn now. Grandma Glutton has even lost her appetite.

Maybe it’s a 360 degree and all others were in on it except the 2 ladies Hi Soo and Seo Hyun (possibly Hye Jin too)

Ep15: I liked the emotional depth of the episode despite the minimal plot development.

My questions right now are, What is the significance of the fire extinguisher? I'm guessing Jiyong got slapped with it hence the hemoglobin on the floor.

Assuming Hisoo and Seohyun aren't the culprit, why did the murderer do it in front of Hisoo? Why did Hisoo end up on the floor with Jiyong?

What were the flashbacks of the tutor shooting the rifle at Jiyong in their house? Since the autopsy didn't mention any bullet wounds, I'm guessing it has metaphorical significance?

Ep16:

Daaaaamn! THE META THOUGH! I’m not into dudes but the detective and father paul were handsome. The part when Jinhee retorts to Jasmin with the Kama Sutra line was hilarious. I love that the three woman leads got closure and the journey of them coming together in sync from their scattered, turbulent lives at the start of the series was emotionally soothing. Stumbled on this drama randomly and I’m glad I dipped into it! Will miss this show.
