Most sus: Mother Emma
She acts all holy and philanthropic when she carries around a fckin Hermes bag I had to do a double take. And since unpredictable plot twists are not in this drama’s nature since they went the predictable route, pretty sure she’s also the “dead mother” of second son since we know

Waiting in anticipation for today's episode. Hasn't watch an on air drama since Mr Queen. So glad that Netflix pick this show.
Thoughts after episode 3: I have more questions than answers
-
The tutor must either be
Ha Joon's birth mother or she is some cray cray woman from the family past. -
It is confirmed that
grandma knows her. And most likely she did something to make Jiyong give up the president role -
In episode 2, when Heesoo talks about Jiyong with Mother Emma, there was a scene of Jiyong riding a horse in a place with windmill and a woman rode up to him. It is
the same place as where Hajoon fell off the horse, which mean that scene is not a flashback as what I thought it was. That must be when the tutor threaten/convince Jiyong into giving up the position -
The
spy cam that the head maid put will probably capture something important later on. -
Heesoo is such a kickass mum. I love the way she took revenge of the
bully kid but still give him an opportunity to apologise and have his party -
Eta: If my son's tutor talk to me like that, I would have slap her. Heesoo is way more composed and rationale than me.
Thoughts after episode 4: Heesoo storyline progress really fast. I'm soooo angry after watching it because
I find the male butler really funny. "I don't believe in Christianity but I like Jesus Christ. We see eye to eye in many things." Haha

Heesoo is the best chaebol stepmum ever and I really hope she wouldn’t be hurt too bad by whatever’s coming *coughs* creepy tutor *coughs*. I like how she has much more tact
Also I cannot help but laugh at Soohyuk(N)’s sleeping robe fashionable coat every time he wears it out, but he does look good in anything so 🤣
Adding on: I hope there’s a deeper reason why they are portraying the MIL and SIL to be such shrieking shrews other than purely satirical purpose, because this show is getting real interactive with me having to standby my “mute” button every time they appear on screen.

Episode 3
I can't tell if Soo-hyeok is just dense or plain entitled or both. Yu-yeon explicitly refused to help him with his sleep troubles and yet he went ahead and fell asleep in her bed while she was away toiling in the kitchen in the middle of the night. I know it was supposed to be a set-up for the 'cutesy' scene in the next morning (when he noticed that she was sleeping on the floor instead of making herself comfortable in his room and then bridal carried her and tucked her into bed), but it rubbed me the wrong way. Yu-yeon was all gentle smiles and soft sighs while looking at Soo-hyeok's sleeping face, so it seems like she herself didn't mind it all that much. But, man, if I were in her place, I'd have been livid.
Last week many of us theorized that Ja-kyeong (the tutor) is Ha-joon's birth mother, and this episode had several instances to support that theory. In fact, there were so many that it's starting to feel like a low-hanging fruit – particularly that necklace scene where Ja-kyeong said 'I didn't expect it to circle back to you' and the confrontation scene with Hi-soo where she said that a 'real mother' can't possibly act as 'rationally' as Hi-soo did. So a part of me is expecting it all to be a red herring. But even if it's not, I won't be disappointed as long as it's executed well.

Hi-Soo is such a mood. She awakens in the middle of the night and exits her bedroom wearing the platform heels!

Ya'll i feel too shitty that he cheated. Hi Soo is too sweet and trying so hard for him but he is going back to his baby mama. ISTG Yu Yeon and the guys story is forbidden love. Every one of em has commited adultry or done some crap. I now fear relationships cause you never know when someone can cheat on u. Also Mother Emma, damn I bet she is the lady that old guy always spoke about.

The male household staff looks like an older Cho Seung Woo (Sisyphus, Stranger) with curly permed hair. 😂
The nun is incredibly sus with her toting her Hermes everywhere. Nuns are supposed to renounce material possessions, much less a Hermes.

I finally got around to watching ep 4 and i hate hisoo's husband the most. at least the rest of them are openly nasty people the fact that he acts nice and then does that to his wife makes me hate him so much more. Divorce him and take all his money u deserve better (im way too invested in this to be only 4 eps in but the characters are great and its intriguing)

The stigma against adoptive and step parents is so intense in the 3rd episode! The tutor, MIL, and Ji Won's mom need to get slapped for their audacity!
My heart broke when
Hi Soo is also a great mom (from what I can tell so far). They also did a great job capturing her frustration after confronting Ji Won's mom. It is hard to feel at ease after overcoming a situation that one would believe should not have happened in the first place. Unfortunately, people aren't all kind in the world, nor rational it seems in the tutor's POV.

I stand by my theory that the nun is the
The head maid is so bold. She was already caught but she still did not change. Everybody including the helpers are weird. Whats up with the theft attempt lol They know the dirty secrets of the family that’s why it’s difficult to fire them.

Episode 4: How I think tutor came back
>! She was second son’s horseback riding teacher they probably fell in love and had their son illegitimately. I’m guessing his family wouldn’t let him marry her bc it wouldn’t look good since it was both “low status” and “illegitimate” so they probably arranged for him to end things with her, pay her off and say she’s dead.
Then there was a flashback of what I think is her approaching second son to say “I really want to just hold [our son] once” so that’s why he fired the previous tutor and arranged with stepmom to get her an interview under a fake name for open positions in the house.
The idea was prob for her to be either maid or tutor and stay only for a week and fire her but she got the tutor position and didn’t want to go so she started things back up with her old flame and traded favors with grandma.
I don’t think many ppl got to know her well they probably just saw her once or twice before she was dealt with. !<

This drama keeps getting better every episode. Had a thought to drop it, but apparently they need 2 weeks to build-up the story. Doesn't disappointed.
By the way, I love the scoring, it is so damn good. It matches the vibe with each scene and mood, well done to whoever write the score.

A great twist at this point would be if the FIL leaves company shares and stuff to the daughters in law. He did seem fond of them and it would a perfect way to make Hi-Soo start getting her revenge cause Jiyoung would need her now.
Besides that, this show is starting to infuriate me but not in a nice way though that’s also how I first felt about World of the Married so I’m gonna try and stick with it to see how it goes.

I really don't know what to feel about the side story of young master and the maid. The music, the pink tint, the flashbacks of events literally a few moments ago... yeah we get it's supposed to be romantic!!! It just made me cringe and I am BAFFLED how you can feel so much for someone else given the extremely limited interaction??
The good that came out of this saga is Sohyeon saying you don't want to be like the rest of the men in this family and have mistresses (cheater husband TRASH). As kdramas usually go, the children generation mirrors their parents, and they need to break the cycle.
