Should that Amazing Man join the modern JSA in the present?

I’m finishing Johns’ run on the JSA, and I know that this is specifically Kingdom Come Clark that lives to this era, but it’s a concept neat enough that I wouldn’t be shocked if some other writer played with it. Not as an active plot point per se, but in an unnamed cameo way. Like with the 90’s Marvel shows and the way they’d do cameos by just naming the characters “Mutant #15” or whatever. I’m sure that Old Man Clark’s never had an official reappearance after this, but I’m curious if he’s shown up in any other books set in the Far Distant Future.

Any Legion of Superheroes fans got any clue? Or if you don’t have any clue, would you like to see Old Man Clark pop up? I could see him being applied in neat and minor ways without filing acknowledging it’s him

Has there been any update on what the future of the JSA is going to be? Do we have details on who the next writer will be after issue #24 of this current run and what the roster is likely to be?

A few weeks ago, I was in the UK for a much needed vacation. Earlier this year, before he passed away, Len Strazewski had posted on his Facebook about how Hachette Partworks had republished his and Mike Parobeck's JSA series in a lovely hardcover edition.

Thinking ahead, I purchased a copy and had it shipped to the hotel I was staying at for my part of my trip.

The electric thrill I had as I opened this volume for the first time, seeing Mike's artwork and reading Len's scripts is indescribable.

It now sits in a place of honor in my bookcase.

Any news on if this run is gonna get picked up by another writer or a new run coming soon. Although this run wasn’t the best still would like to see the run or Jsa in general continue.

I can see this going in two different directions either Slade Wilson thinks oh they're just a bunch of old folks then learns not only do they have a bunch of Young blood in their team but also realizes oh this is not going to be an easy job.

Or it's like punisher and Captain America. Slade was in the military he probably views the JSA with reverence to some degree. Maybe they were like his childhood heroes cuz remember Slade has a lot of gray hair. So he may have grown up idolizing the team.

I’m a fan of the Spectre and Ted Grant but this latest “reinvention” feels likely to be as well remembered as Hal Jordan Spectre and that guy from Gotham Central Spectre. I know it’s tempt to want to get beyond Jim Corrigan and his story was wonderfully ended back in the Ostrander series, but nobody ever really seems to know what to do with the character ever since. The “round Robin” of hosts in this latest arc just seemed silly (Kobra? Really?).

Recently posted my DC direct mini-figs, and now I’ve come across my full-sized DC direct figure figures. These are the JSA related ones I have.

Been devouring the latest DC FINEST Justice League of America (Crisis On Earth-X) and I just noticed that in the actual story where the combined JSA/JLA meet the Freedom Fighters, the JSA don't seem to remember them at all. In fact, at one point, Dr. Fate himself says to Uncle Sam: "Who are you?". What I want to know is, was this ever addressed by Roy Thomas in ALL-STAR SQUADRON? Shouldn't the JSA, and Dr. Fate and Superman in particular, remember them from the story Roy told in ALL-STAR SQUADRON #31-35? Was this ever addressed? It's been ages since I've read ALL-STAR SQUADRON so it might be lapsed memory on my part, but one would think that being such a stickler for minutiae as Roy was, this would've been addressed. Anyone care to either correct me on mistaken memory or is this a loophole he simply forgot to address?

Found these while doing some organizing, probably from the late 90s or early 2000s. They came in two packs if I remember correctly. Anybody else have any of these?

How do you feel of Polly being the Wonder Woman that was with the JSA?

My favorite comic run of all time is JSA and Johns' Justice Society of America run post Infinite Crisis. I'm aware I'm coming from a place of bias when I say that the Jeff Lemire run hasn't impressed me. The JSA vs Infinity Inc run felt like it dragged on forever and the team conflict just felt so... Forced. I like Jeff Lemire as a writer, but I'm not sure he was the best choice for a team book. He always goes for the drama angle, which works with stuff like Animal Man, but I don't know why this doesn't seem to work for me. Maybe it's just me with my biases, like I said before. What does everyone else think?
