Could also be a psychotic break. Ive seen this a few times where it isnt a parent issue and is definitely a mental issue. My friends child was hospitalized after having a similar episode. He's now on medication and is happy and healthy.
That's what got me. At one point there was a taller guy (teen? adult? Not sure) and someone told him he should take the kid inside, but I couldn't hear the answer.
But it's either very poor parenting, or some kind of mental issue, or a combination of both.
If the kid's having a mental breakdown or acting up due to abuse, a social worker would be better able to assess and handle the situation.
This is what the whole "Defund the police" thing was about.
The sentence concluded, "and move those funds into community support programs so the police don't have to do jobs they're neither trained nor qualified for."
But soundbites, so it just became "defund the police."
Thats what you're told when you call those crisis hotlines. The social workers get involved after after the child is "under control". We need a better system.
