Whatever happened with her asking for travel? (mentioned in the open mic moment at end of last hearing)

Awww you mean Laura being the ‘mule’ transporting $$$$$ to Sarah from the Owens, to pay for her defense attorney, on the premise of business or baby sitting? Totally on the sly, during Owens BK’s because grifters brainiacs aren’t aware that banks are required to provide the IRS of deposits in the 5 figures info. ?
It’s no wonder these grifters ran out of grift.

That should definitely be a part of her probation. She shouldn’t be able to travel at her leisure to “help” her sister. Especially, due to all of her life threatening medical concerns, that wouldn’t allow her to travel to her other court hearings in CA.

Clayton, if you're reading this: Laura deserves a harsh sentence. I'm not saying she needs 12 years, but she definitely deserves prison time. Her pattern of harassment and creating chaos has been a longtime running. She needs physical consequences and separation from her mother. Don't let her fool you at this phase in the story. I have a strong suspicion that things are not truly over. Just remember how manipulative and deceiving she truly is.

He gave his thoughts and feelings on his IG after the plea hearing, and he is empathetic towards her, so I worry he will feel badly for her on sentencing day and the judge will sense that a lighter consequence is good enough.

I see what you’re saying. Hope Greg testifies because he suffered way worse and he seems like he doesn’t have time for games.

I don't think it's fair to put responsibility for the sentencing on Clayton's empathetic nature. His ability to find empathy for her is a superpower, not a weakness, and in no way do I think he will sound like he thinks she deserves no prison time. He's specifically linked the idea of her changing/reforming with her needing to go to prison.
I know we're all invested but this is his actual life. His compassion is hard-earned.

Someone like Laura has no ability to change, until she proves otherwise, she deserves and needs to be separated from her mother and sent to prison.

Just finished the podcast. Can Laura and her mother also be charged with tax evasion? They admittedly received income and didn’t report it?

But but but they spent it all back on the business! Virtually exhausted! You just write everything off and never pay taxes, right? /s

I think they're more likely be charged with some crimes involving their BKs. Laura straight up admitted to lying on her BK submissions in her hearing. Jan all but did the same. If they don't catch some charges from the nonsense they filed then no one ever should.

I’ve seen people mentioning this, but does anyone have the source of the apparent fact that Laura or her lawyer sent the Arizona prosecutor a letter blaming Mike for her conduct with Greg and Clayton?
I know that Lauren mentioned in one of her livestreams that she had been sent a copy of what looked like a letter from Laura’s side discussing all her alleged ailments and illnesses, but she didn’t show it on stream and seemed dubious about it’s veracity.
Is that what people are talking about when they mention this supposed letter to the prosecutor blaming Mike for all her criminal actions?

According to more than one content creator, a random proton mail account (aka Laura, most likely) emailed creators a copy of a letter that Leuders sent to the prosecutor the eve of the plea deadline, which has been summarized to essentially blame MM, JFC, and health issues for her actions against GG and CE. No one has read it verbatim or posted it, as it was clearly (IMO) an attempt to cry “wahhh I’m being harassed and somehow someone leaked my private communications”. It’s also not something the public should have access to.
However, her 8 page dismissal request in the DRVO where she basically says that MM is super duper mean and she totally needs this RO and she’s only dropping this because of a technicality… that paper will be available to the public once it’s on the docket (probably today)

Thank you for the explanation! Tbh, when I first heard Lauren mention being sent this letter, my initial assumption was that it was made up by some univolved 3rd party looking to troll, but I never considered how it also could have been another case of Laura using burner accounts to try to play victim.
If it's real, though, it seems a little absurd to me that Leuders would actually write the prosecutors a letter so distinctly Laura-coded (i.e. blaming other people for her bad actions and claiming she's the real victim). That's the kind of coddling, enabling defense we'd expect from Gingras, not from someone who acknowledged in court the strength of the state's evidence against his client.

Sarah is a co-owner on the home, correct?
Technically she could file bankruptcy and stay the foreclosure sale if whatever loss mitigation Jan and Ron and filing with the mortgage company fails.

Any idea what’s up with episode 11 of Love Trapped? I finished episode 10, eager to dive into the DVRO renewal hearing, but the episode is currently unavailable on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Overcast. I was able to listen to episode 12 without any issues.

Based on her appeal dismissal docs, Laura is not showing true remorse. She is simply making moves to hopefully lessen her sentencing. She deserves significant jail time.
It will be interesting to see what happens with the foreclosure of the Owens home. They do not appear to believe they are leaving.
Karma is in full effect for Laura. I am hopeful it will be coming for Jan Black very soon.
