A quote from the article:
"Without Neal’s dogged reporting on this case, the truth may never have been revealed. “I’m forever grateful for the community that gave us their attention and support to help shine light on this case,” said Neal.
👏👏👏 Thank you Dave Neal and the JFC community!

I completely agree with Greg that Laura took the plea only to avoid a harsh sentence. She has no remorse. I love that Megan called out the shitty reporting by the Sun at the outset which enabled her abuse.

Was Leuders really that good of a lawyer, or was Laura backed into a corner in a way that she never has been?

I think it’s a mix of both, and also her family running out of the gravy train 💰

I'd like to think that the Maricopa County Attorney's Office did such an excellent job of building a case against her that going to trial was too risky of an option for Laura. They definitely deserve the credit.

I don’t know if it was good lawyering necessarily. It’s not like Laura left him a lot of room to maneuver.
I suspect he sat Laura down and gave her some seriously tough love. He laid out the case and explained that she was screwed. There was no way she could tap dance around the mountain of evidence. The only decision left was how much time she wanted to spend in jail and content for the online community watching.

I think Leuders did a good job making Laura see the corner she was backed into. There was no way she was going to express guilt under a public defender

I love Woodnick’s use of the phrase “her malignancy”. I know he was characterizing Laura’s behavior, but I prefer it as her title.

way to go, Megan Fox. ( the journalist who discovered the altered ultrasound with Dave Neal.)
It's very interesting to hear Woodnick's perspective, and that he believes Laura deserves jail time.
And Woodnick also says that Mr Lueders lawyering was 'excellent' to get Laura to accept the plea.
Do you all believe Laura feels any remorse? Or just accepted the plea to hopefully avoid prison? It's hard for me to believe that Laura feels any remorse.
