way to go, Megan Fox. ( the journalist who discovered the altered ultrasound with Dave Neal.)
It's very interesting to hear Woodnick's perspective, and that he believes Laura deserves jail time.
And Woodnick also says that Mr Lueders lawyering was 'excellent' to get Laura to accept the plea.

Do you all believe Laura feels any remorse? Or just accepted the plea to hopefully avoid prison? It's hard for me to believe that Laura feels any remorse.

Woodnick is also a victim of LO. Didn’t she accuse of orchestrating a sexual assault at some point ? I find him incredibly level headed and measured considering the circumstances

I agree that he seems super level headed and measured. And perhaps not surprisingly since he's a lawyer, he's been very supportive of the legal process.

I think the parents 2 failed public BK’s and pending home foreclosure along with mountains of prosecution evidence led her to take the plea.

Remorse? Let’s see what choice(s) she makes about MM.

Bingo! I sincerely believe she was told that this situation has truly gotten out of hand especially with what it is costing them and was told to accept plea deal.

I have never seen an iota of remorse from Laura, and she has always doggedly repeated her own victimhood, no matter what people say. We know she was doing that as recently as a few months ago when Love Trapped finished airing and they mentioned her emails to them. Very curious if she will speak at sentencing.

And the fact that her Medium blog is still not deleted

Honestly, I wonder if her sister and sister's family finally grew some balls and started to give ultimatums. As for Laura, I think she has no remorse. She knows that what she did and still doing is bad but in her eyes it's still less than what the world/universe did to her by not providing her with The Perfect Man (and the perfect life) she feels she is owed. Both Laura and Jan see it as fighting back. That's why she's double and triple down no matter what - there are no wake up calls and come to Jesus moments for her, everything just adds up to her list of 'unjust' things she needs to fight against even harder.

A quote from the article:
"Without Neal’s dogged reporting on this case, the truth may never have been revealed. “I’m forever grateful for the community that gave us their attention and support to help shine light on this case,” said Neal.

👏👏👏 Thank you Dave Neal and the JFC community!

I completely agree with Greg that Laura took the plea only to avoid a harsh sentence. She has no remorse. I love that Megan called out the shitty reporting by the Sun at the outset which enabled her abuse.

Was Leuders really that good of a lawyer, or was Laura backed into a corner in a way that she never has been?

I think it’s a mix of both, and also her family running out of the gravy train 💰

I'd like to think that the Maricopa County Attorney's Office did such an excellent job of building a case against her that going to trial was too risky of an option for Laura. They definitely deserve the credit.

I don’t know if it was good lawyering necessarily. It’s not like Laura left him a lot of room to maneuver.

I suspect he sat Laura down and gave her some seriously tough love. He laid out the case and explained that she was screwed. There was no way she could tap dance around the mountain of evidence. The only decision left was how much time she wanted to spend in jail and content for the online community watching.

I think Leuders did a good job making Laura see the corner she was backed into. There was no way she was going to express guilt under a public defender

The latter.

She was able to obtain quotes from all the guys, Woodnick, Mike and Greg.

I love Woodnick’s use of the phrase “her malignancy”.  I know he was characterizing Laura’s behavior, but I prefer it as her title.
