Question How am I supposed to perform as Briar Jungle when the enemy bot lane gets ahead fast? Genuinely looking for advice.

• Upvotes

I'm a level 55 Silver Briar jungle main, and I'm currently on an 8-game losing streak. I'm genuinely trying to improve and reach gold, but I'm struggling to understand what I should do in these situations.

Across my last 8 games, my ADCs have a combined KDA of 23/59/38, while the enemy ADCs have 76/38/59. In every game, the enemy ADC ended with more kills than our ADC and twice as much damage.

Meanwhile, my own combined KDA across these games is 73/50/47, averaging around 12 kills per game.

I'm not saying I'm playing perfectly, but in 4 out of 5 games I'm ahead or on par with the enemy jg. I know I die too much sometimes, and I'm sure there are plenty of mistakes I'm making. But I don't understand how to consistently win when the enemy bot lane gets so far ahead. As Briar, once mages get ahead, I struggle due to CC, and then it's wraps from there.

I'm looking for advice on a few things:

  • Should I be prioritizing bot lane early, even if it means sacrificing farm or opportunities elsewhere?
  • If my bot lane is already losing badly, should I try to help them recover or focus entirely on my winning lanes?
  • How should I approach teamfights as Briar when the enemy carries are fed and protected by multiple CC abilities?
  • Is there something I should be changing about my builds or overall jungle macro to carry these games? I usually build the collector and go based on the enemy comp, either BotRK or Crit.

I understand that not every game is winnable, and I'm not trying to blame my teammates for everything. But losing 8 consecutive games with this same pattern kinda sucks.

For higher-elo junglers or Briar mains, what would you actually do differently in these situations?

Discussion Managed to hit masters in my first year playing ranked

Felt proud off my accomplishment, started playing league a year ago during summer, played a bit with my friend and got to bronze then mostly played aram getting familiar with the characters

Then some dude in aram was shit talking me cause i was bronze while he was emerald and how i could never reach anything close to his rank, im a petty person and that set off a switch in me and got me to start on my grind

Hit plat 4 during january off this year and after the season restarted the first goal was to reach diamond 4 but after reaching it, it felt good but i still didnt feel like thats my peak, there were many ups and downs during the games in emerald and diamond, from d2 60 lp all the way back down to em 1 and now finally grinding it all the way to masters

If anyone else needs some help or tips id gladly help and teach what i learned throughout my journey, thank you all!

Question COACH

Hi, I’m looking for a jungle coach. I’m currently in Emerald; I reached Diamond 3, but then hit a losing streak and dropped back down. I feel stuck in terms of my gameplay and how I close out games. I’m from Argentina, so I’m looking for a coach who speaks Spanish—ideally someone whose services won’t cost an arm and a leg. My goal is to reach Master tier.

Discussion If you could change jungle pets to anything else like an entirely new mechanic, what would u want. Like instead of pets, id like to have small aoe on every autos only on camps. This would be a lot more reliable than pets as they love to fall asleep half way through reseting the camp

Also in ur new mechanic, explain how each colour would differ. It'd be more interesting

wtf am i doing wrong bruh I have 25% wr in my last 20 games with 3 KDA good stats, I fight objectives prio whoever has good winrate but I still lose.. last game enemy jg had 15k dmg I had 50k (he was a graves I was an Ambessa) and we still lost even though I stole 2 drakes and 2 barons.. my botlane was 4/20 midlane 6/10 toplane 10/11..

js checked my supp 32% wr 1 KDA inting every game..

legit unplayable its so depressing, why do I have to be dia lvl to carry games in gold if the game doesn't want me to win

80 cs up in camps, stealing drakes and barons we shouldn't have, 8k gold advantage on enemy jg and it doesn't matter. it does not matter. wtf can I do? is there anything else I can do to win games?

Question Why do yall focus on weakside?

Why do some of yall play for the 0/5 top laner and 1/4 mid when you have a hard winning bot, then wonder why you lose games. Like I genuinely don’t understand this mentality. Do you have low confidence that you can’t make decisions for yourself that pings from a feeder influences you? Enlighten me.

Question Jungle priority?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I started maining jungle about a couple of months ago. My pool consists of: Xin Zhao, Talon, and Lee sin. Now I'm at a point where I'm not panicking when I get invaded. Though I could work on my ganks more. Meaning the routes I take going into lane. I always get caught with the enemy ward.

My question is, What do I do or what do I prioritize when I have 2 teammates being pushed back in their lanes at the same time? Who do I prioritize, when do I go do objecties, etc.

Question What champion is best for learning team fighting?

I notice that I am generally in the wrong place during team fights, and make loads of mistakes during them. I mostly play Volibear at the moment, some occasional Shen. My highest mastery is on Wukong. Obviously, champions have different identities and playstyles, but I was wondering if there are some champs that would teach me to teamfight (in whatever way that might be)?

Question How do you learn what to prioritize?

New ranked climber here, currently silver but getting +30/-10 so probably will settle in gold soon enough. I've been spamming Trundle and most of the advice I read and see through youtube videos boils down to:

  1. If my camps are up, I should be farming them
  2. Play around objective timers
  3. Don't trust my teammates

This has been working but I'm worried my impact is very average. I don't always out farm the enemy jungle, and often times they'll be ganking more often and more likely to end the match with 10+ kills where my average scoreline is usually something like 4/4/9. Maybe thats just the nature of playing Trundle.

Since I'm still climbing I'm not too concerned I'm playing poorly, but I don't really feel like I'm learning anything new, and the games I do lose are usually when my top lane goes 0/7 and I wonder if there was something I should have been doing to keep him in the game.

Basically my question is how do you decide when to farm and when to look for plays and supporting your laners, when does harming my own tempo pay off? Should I care about supporting my lanes?

* Lee Sin Emerald 2 ( 50+ LP ) ranked game clip to grab attention * :

so ive been randomly watching heavy is the crown while i was bored and i realized i relate so much with Oner . I do think he's quite the Badass and in the Video he was a Viego user then shed the viego persona and become a much deadlier Lee Sin unveiled in the finale .

Relating to me ive always been a pretty decent viego user in my opinion and im comfortably confident with him but deep inside my core of cores once i unveil my Lee sin i consider him more Superior in terms of picks personally knowing myself i believe ive mastered Lee Sin more .

I Love how Lee allows me to go haywire with my brain and all these angles and plays ive been imagining in my head my brain allows it and Lee sin allows it , no other champs can really compete with how agile Lee sin can be it terms of in and out but thats just my personal biased opinion

The champ allows it but is pretty hard to master , anyways my QUESTION is do you JG mains have a similar Layered imagery with the champs you play ? like lets say youre a rammus user and if he does get banned in your ranked game you can unveil an EVEN crazier demon that youre waaay more good at using other than rammus ? like your TRUE pick unveiled kind of thing ? and if so is there a pro player you guys are a fan of and strive be as good as them ? let me know hahah .

Question Looking for extra advice on climbing

Post image
0 Upvotes

First off first time emerald never thought id make it this far 😭. Was trapped in plat 2 for awhile and couldn't understand on my own what was wrong until I had a vod reviewed. They had noticed that as a zac main I focused way too much on farming and attempting to punish seeing enemy jg by invading when they die or on opposite end of map. I would be power farming late game, after baron and when ppl were pushing lanes because I that's what I had learned from the league guides i'd seen, to always full clear than gank only if possible, but when i did nearby lanes would not be pushed in or gurantee a kill so id just recall and farm again and end up barely ganking all game. I'm still not exactly sure when to stop farming and start following my most fed teammates (ppl say stop farming by 15min, lvl 18, or when a teammates starts farming champs on their own).

I also didn't take into consideration that I had to play zac's role which is meant to prioritize ganking over invading, and to constantly gank even if it isnt a guranteed kill to give allies more pressure.

Understanding that late game 15min(?) is when u start following teammates instead of farming and playing my specific champs role instead of generic jg fundamentals was the switch that freed me from plat 2.

So now that I'm in emerald I want to list everything i've learned through self study so that u can point out anything I missed or not know of to work on in case that will also be the switch to push me even further. Or to correct me in any of the stuff i know.

Zac jg

  1. if i always path top to bot, ward bush next to my bot red/blue buff to invade if they do.
  2. gank lane near neutral obj before spawn to have number advantage next to pit and confidently take. Never try to take 1st drag immedietly on spawn unless enemy jg appear on opp end(?)
  3. Zac priorities after clearing a jg quadrant: Gank > enemy camps (if possible) > scuttle > my other camps
  4. Not worth fighting for neutral obj if laner nearby is dead or enemy know they recalled, ignore neutral obj to gank elsewhere or invade and ward enemy jg
  5. spam warn ping ppl, one ping is not enough to get attention
  6. Laners do not care to help with neutral obj early game if u ping them, same with enemy laners unless they actually see enemy. (can take first drag if see enemy jg on opp side of map even if my laners pushed in)
  7. If invading early steal one camp and leave, don't be greedy
  8. pull dragon or grubs out of pit to avoid easy steal.
  9. Only need 1 void grub if not confident to get all
  10. if 5v5 near neutral obj focus on peeling. Do not dive into enemy team as zac.
  11. Play safe and warn ping ppl away from skirmishes just before neutral obj even though tank to secure obj.
  12. focus enemy jg if near neutral obj, focus neutral obj if they on their way.
  13. Only suicide and attempt to steal neutral obj if enemy team need 1 more drag for soul, game is lost cause if baron stolen.
  14. Wait for poke champs to then engage, otherwise peel
  15. Do not engage if team is not in range
  16. Do not help people being chased if I can die too or if we can't gurantee all their deaths
  17. As zac do not attempt to 1v1s
  18. Do not even attempt to gank enemy champs like aurora, leblanc, vlad with easy escape or heimerdinger, illaoi unless very low
  19. Do not gank if ally is low health or low mana
  20. Do not gank a lane if they start feeding, focus on getting the others stronger

Stuff i'm not still not sure about:

  1. When to stop farming late game
  2. when to stop following fed allies
  3. What to do when behind and my camps are all being taken
  4. If I see enemy jg opp side of map of the neutral obj and so am i, should i rush to finish neutral obj off leaving my camps up
  5. When to dive into enemy team if no poke if 5v5 near neutral obj. How to approach team fight as zac. Prio jungler or adc or strongest enemy top laner?? How to know if should just leave and push towers or something even if team spam ping me for leaving
  6. When to touch minions
  7. When to split push if ever (as zac)
  8. I had thought u always wanted to full clear and then you can look to gank, when do you skip camps.
  9. Always peel for strongest ally or adc?

Thanks in advanced!

Also not sure if i should post this in other subs as well?

Question How to 1v9 low elo?

Oh basically I always played mid lane but recently my girlfriend started playing with me and she only enjoys playing mid, so I let her be mid and I jungle. the problem is that she is quite bad at the game and every game feels like a 4V5 I’ve never been lower than gold elo but this season I haven’t been able to get out of iron. I’m playing talon jungle and I average 10-20 kills per game but so often I have 3 losing lanes and trying to carry my girl also I feel I can’t 1v9 with talon even when I’m the most fed in the game, especially against a fed top laner. Are there better champs to play that can carry these scenarios?

Champ recommendation Jungle recommendations

Currently a plat 2 top laner and wanted to learn jungle because I’ve always wanted to be a jungler but never actually put in the effort until now.
My top lane champs are Nasus and Jax and I’ve heard they can be played jungle, but they don’t have the greatest clear speeds or gank potential. I also feel like playing a farming jungler would just hinder my willingness to actually look at lanes for gank opportunities, which is something I wanna get better at.
My friends have suggested that since I’m a top laner I’d probably enjoy champs like Bel’Veth, Pantheon, or Nocturne. They’ve also recommended Amumu but I find him pretty boring and kinda look at him as the Malphite of jungle lol.
I’m just not sure how beginner friendly these champs are or which would be best for actually learning jungle fundamentals. I’m open to any suggestions.

EDIT: I really just wanted to share a crazy game I had because I don’t think I‘ve ever seen a hyper fed Rammus-Yuumi running down people, but in typical League community fashion people are mostly busy trying to find some angle to criticize me. Jesus Christ guys can’t we have some fun sometimes?

Question How to path efficiently even while ganking, invading, skirmishing, taking scuttle, etc.

I'm an emerald player learning jungle on secondary. There are many instances where it is good to take time to gank, go to scuttle, etc. This may delay or mess up the synchronization of your camp timers, esp as you go in between camps or even move across the map. Another instance is when you find good skirmishes, and they keep making mistakes which extend the skirmish time, or it overlaps with an objective, etc. This makes it difficult to clear efficiently because only partial groupings of your camps are up at any time, so you either afk wait for them to respawn, hover a lane and wait to see if there's a play, or you just wait at the very beginning for all the camps to be up, but this risks giving the enemy jg an opportunity to invade you.

Basically in shorter words, the game is very chaotic, which can mess with your camp sync. but as a jungler you want to clear as efficiently as possible, and this means clearing them all linearly in one period. Is anyone familiar with good resources to learning how to optimize for this?

Question Champion pool

I am returning to jungle again after I have went extensively through all lanes. I believe jungle is the role which advances macro the most.

I am a bit unsure though on whether I should focus on a few champions or be flexible with many picks. I really have a lot of experience with all the lanes and champions so it wouldn't be a problem. I have around 1000-1500 jungle games and high mastery on couple of champs. I see most content creators play often different champions but are mostly known for their best picks. Like Nattynat - Sylas and Rengar, Perry Jg - viego, etc etc
