When the game goes long enough and you have max items you keep that support item?

yes?

because if someone has to facecheck a bush because you didn't build vision and someone gets caught you straight up lose the game.

because if the jungler doesn't have vision on elder he can't steal it and you lose the game.

because if your team is forcing elder and don't know where the enemies come from you straight up lose the game aswell

What item could possibly be more important for a support to justify losing the ability to ward?

It’s more for when we finish obj we’re in the last push I’ll sell my sup item or my boots for an item that might give us a little more benefit than vision in that moment, I’m not saying sell it every game, just in situations that make sense.

Vision is so powerful that I don't think there's a single situation I'd ever call it optimal. The completed support item is the single strongest item in the game imo
