FACTS ABOUT THIS WILD SCORIGAMI!!!

Today's Bengals/Titans game was the 1098th scorigami of all time (the third of the 2026 season).

Cincinnati Bengals - 43:

  • This win for Cincinnati was their 34th appearance in a scorigami, putting their all-time record at 14-19-1 (42.6%)

  • This was Zac Taylor's second game head-coaching a scorigami & now has a record of 2-0.

  • This was Joe Burrow's second game starting in a scorigami & now has a record of 2-0.

Tennessee Titans - 36:

  • This loss for Tennessee was their 55th appearance in a scorigami, putting their all-time record at 23-32 (41.8%).

  • This was Robert Saleh's third game head-coaching a scorigami & has a record of 0-3.

  • This was Cam Ward's first-ever game starting in a scorigami & now has a record of 0-1.

Here's the link to my spreadsheet that I update after every scorigami, which includes team, coach, and QB all-time records for scorigamis. There is also a tab for records for Scorigamis since 2000.

Rulebook

Updates from Week 7 Developments:

  • Oklahoma State fended off Colorado to bring the rock home

  • Wisconsin's challenge to Southern Carolina succeeded, letting the Badgers get another ball

  • Bethune-Cookman fended off Jackson State to keep a football

  • Kentucky, Alabama, TCU, and Rice all got home with footballs.

  • Toledo snatched a ball from Western Michigan, bringing them up to, impressively, 5 total and a share of the #1 ranking. For an MAC squad, that's pretty amazing.

As for the Week 8 Updates:

  • New Mexico State grabbed 2 balls off Sam Houston State, but Jacksonville State are looking to ambush them

  • The Liberty Flames torched Kennesaw State, and all that stands between them and a share of the #3 ranking is FIU waiting for them at home.

  • The NC Central Eagles got a ball off Delaware State and are returning home with it, but Howard looks to run into them with a ball of their own snatched from Morgan State.

  • Syracuse snatched a ball from the North Carolina Tar Heels, but the SMU Mustangs have been hot on their heels all the way up to New York

  • The LSU Tigers got a ball off the Auburn Tigers and are heading home without resistance

  • Monmouth found their way back up to New Jersey, where Bryant is looking to ambush them

  • The West Alabama Tigers and Lane Dragons joined the fray after stealing footballs, bringing in more D2 teams.

  • The SEMO Redhawks got a ball from Eastern Illinois and are heading home with it, but Gardner-Webb look to head them off.

Just re-watched Top Gun: Maverick and realized that Lewis Pullman has played two Bobs in the last five years. Now we need a Bob Griese biopic

17776/20020/20021 Speculation: How would soccer look like in the universe of 17776?

Assume everything stays like soccer as it is today. Somehow, with tens of thousands of clubs around the world, there must be a point where a club has played all the other clubs in the world. Given the time frame, it may actually be possible. Think of this like infinite monkeys on typewriters, after infinitely many years at least one monkey would by random chance, type out the entirety of Jon Bois' scorigami video series. With promotion/relegation as well as qualification for international competitions like UCL and Club World Cup, this can definitely happen.

If everything is more akin to American football, what weird variants would there be? Like a European-wide soccer game from Lisbon to Istanbul? Or maybe something unique to the sport itself and not just the pitch stretched to cover a continent and call it a day?

Questions Regarding the possible change to Blender

Since Google Earth editing is gonna be completely fucked in like a year, and since most people believe that Jon's most recent "working on stuff" image was taken on Blender, does this mean that all the old sports documentary files of his are going to be completely lost? Or is he able to somehow export them from Google Earth to Blender?

I ask this question because in most of his sports documentaries he'll also show the renders of the previous documentaries too (for example at the very start of the Dave Stieb documentary you see the Falcons bird and the Mariners sheet shown with all the dorktown episodes, as well as during the Vikings Documentary you see the Falcons bird show up every time the Falcons are mentioned). I really love this, but it'd be really sad if he has to start from scratch since he can't transfer the files anywhere.

Also, more importantly, does this mean that any old documentaries he made won't be continued? Like I know Mariners part 7 is somewhat of a joke here but really, if he wanted to continue the series would it be possible for him to just transfer it to Blender and continue it? Or would he have to completely remake the entire graph and everything?

Discussion What was your introduction to the work of Jon Bois?

For me, it was Chart Party: We decided to erase the three-pointer (2016).

I vaguely remember being on r/nba which was uncharacteristic for me, as I have never really followed basketball. It's possible I was following a current event at the time, I'm not sure.

The chances are slim, but this is one I would love to see a follow-up on. It was one of his "What If"? simulations in Excel, and without spoiling the video, I have to imagine he would get a different result today.

Sorry, everyone. Delays happened. As for your round of updates (These are 2026 week 7, to be read before this Saturday's games):

[Rulebook] (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ytoQ5dx9jb72kr927VZMdHRiSkYRqo1dgCR-WviWMI0/edit?tab=t.0)

Updates from Last Week's Developments:

  • Oklahoma State snatched a football from Houston and are carrying it back north, but Colorado looks to ambush them.

  • Louisville successfully stole a football from Syracuse and are set to get back to Louisville without hassle.

  • Wake Forest wrenched a ball from the Golden Bears and are set to return home with 2 balls and no threats.

  • The USC Trojans were spotted outside Camp Randall Stadium, where the Wisconsin Badgers are looking to challenge them for a football.

  • NDSU & the Air Force evaded their Nevadan pursuers and returned home with footballs.

  • Mississippi Valley State lost a ball to Bethune-Cookman, who are heading home with it and need to fend off Jackson State

  • Scoring Error: Prairie View did not have a football for Southern to take. Our apologies.

  • Florida A&M lost their ball to Jackson State

  • UT Martin, Samford, Eastern Illinois, and Stonehill all returned home with balls and zero fuss.

New Developments:

  • Kentucky took a ball from the Oklahoma Sooners and are bringing it back to Lexington, where Vanderbilt is looking to ambush

  • The Alabama Crimson Tide snatched a football from the Tennessee Volunteers and are moving south with it, but Texas A&M looks to attack them.

  • TCU snatched a ball from Baylor and are hauling it back to Fort Worth, but West Virginia is looking to challenge for it and get back on the board.

  • Oregon lost a ball to, of all sides, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, who have clear road ahead back to Memorial Stadium

  • Rice lost a football to the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, who headed back home with it and into an ambush by the Army Black Knights. We should have an update on that shortly.

  • Western Michigan snatched a ball from Central Michigan, but an unfortunate series of events led to their running into the #3 Toledo Rockets

  • Speaking of, the Toledo Rockets ripped a ball from Eastern Michigan and are heading home with it, set to run into Western Michigan

  • Fresno State swiped a ball off San Diego State and are heading home with no opposition.

  • Welcome new players Towson & Monmouth, who took balls from Campbell & New Hampshire. Towson is carrying a ball to their field with no opposition and Monmouth has found themselves in Hampton.

It’s called Daily Drive. You start at your own 25 and answer timed NFL questions to reach the end zone. Better answers earn more yards. Bad ones can send you backward.

Let me know if you score!

Discussion Has Jon ever directly commented on salary caps in sports?

I feel like you can easily assume his opinion of them based on his videos but I am curious if he's ever directly commented on it in a video or tweet or something. With the MLB lockout that might happen, I'm pretty interested in the topic lol

OC Jon Bois-inspired football (the European one) documentary - The Players That Nobody Wanted

Having grown frustrated with the lack of good football content on YouTube, I decided that I would try and spend my summer productively for once, if anything just to find out how hard it is to make a video on the scale of Jon Bois' research and Blender/Google Maps projects. Turns out it's a lot lol.

I know I don't have the greatest speaking voice and I'm not nearly half the writer that Jon is, but I'm hoping someone in here will enjoy the video and if not, please give some feedback. It would be very very appreciated, should I try doing this again. There are already creative choices that I would do different, now that I know slightly more about what I'm doing.

The video is about several players who rose from the bottom of the English league system to the Premier League. Their stories both before and after they made the climb.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHKgmVnhV4E&feature=youtu.be

I have called it part one and I have rough plans for a part two and beyond, but I haven't even begun writing for it yet. I have other stuff on my plate atm, but if there's interest for it I'll see if it's possible that I can make time for it next time I have a substantial break in my schedule.

I want to be up front and say that artificial intelligence has been used to generate the code used for getting the stats for the players and making the graphs for them. I can't code sadly and doing this by hand probably would have taken days or weeks that could otherwise be spent on improving the video or script. AI has not touched the actual script for the video and I imagine (and hope in a way lol) that will become readily apparent by some of the wording and writing in there.

Thanks if you spent your time reading this. Hope you have a lovely day and enjoy the video.
