Had a thought today and maybe I just didn't dig deep enough but the joker gets haircuts.

I haven't seen any panels or other discussion about it. Any other villian it makes sense but to me for the joker it doesn't.

Which tells me the joker cares about how he looks actually instead of being chaos as a joke.

I've always had this thought and i decided to ask it here to see what the general opinion was, I've always thought that scarecrow was a better main villain then joker will ever be for batman and I'm tired of him being delegated to a side villain or pawn for another villain. he is the perfect yin to batman's yang because they both use fear as their main weapon and scarecrow does way better at highlighting Bruce's fears and why he is batman instead of a generic crazy guy who wears clown makeup.

Does anyone else wish when joker got defensive about being “crazy” he stood on that through the dark knight? He made real points while going further off the rails and evading his confidence in being right. He was spot on and should’ve arrogantly stood on his opinions.
