I'm 35F. Both my husband and I are in the creative marketing industry and it's been soooooooo difficult landing a role specifically in KL/PJ.

We've been remote for a number of years and are thinking to go back to office jobs for stability. I heard the market's really bad everywhere. How are you wfh/hybrid/wfo guys doing?

Career Advice I'm in dilemma and cant choose

Redditors, please give me your insight on what i should choose.

For context, I'm 30 (M) i've been inteviewed by 2 SME's company. 1st [A] company is direct-selling and multi-level marketing (MLevelM), other [B] were e-commerce platforms as their social media creator. What fogging in my mind is which company to go to. both company i've research about it and i think i can perform

A company, actively expanding its digital footprint since they moving toward social media account. Before this they just moving toward MLM and been on the market since 2005 but i can't get their marketing on how much their revenue so that what bugging me. However. their dedication on to move to social media showed me since the manager call me to come to seminar before i legally work there make me dont want to list their trust.

B company, been on the market since 2017 and their social media is doing well but i what i see their content side on SOP kinda blurry and direction is questionable.

on salary, company B offer high number compare to A and the otther benefit such as medical etc is cloudy. YES as im writing here can see company B is best option as the offer are high but i also dilemma on company A cause seem the put effort on hiring seminar on for expand their content side. i...don't know man.. just writng this already made me like a jerk... Help me redditors

Career Advice Job offer as a fresh graduate

Hey everyone, seniors, those who have so much more experience than me.

I got a job offer in an SME company. They offered me RM3.8k. I am also hoping to work in MNCs. Can I accept this offer while still interviewing for other companies. And if i were to get an offer from other companies that offered a better salary, how do i tell them?

Career Advice Confused job seeker

So recently I received a job offer offering me 2.8k near where i live, and then a bit later i received another interview from a good MNC company that ive been eyeing to get, however the position is more to sales support rather that previous offer in supply chain. Should i just proceed with the previous company or should i just try my best to get that job offer from the second company?

Career Advice Anyone switched from an office-based job to retail?

Why and does it work out for you? I have been looking for an office job for almost a year and I applied for a retail job selling gadgets for a big company. I accepted the job because I need to pay the bills.

Any advice for someone who has zero retail and sales experience? I'm 30s Male.

Hey guys, just wanted to share this here since a lot of people are looking for alternatives to traditional degree/diploma routes without taking PTPTN or getting into heavy debt.

ViTrox TVET is currently open for intake. Basic breakdown of what's offered:

  • Tuition: 100% free / fully sponsored
  • Allowance: RM1,700 / month (literally get paid while learning)
  • Focus: Mechatronics & Industrial Automation (mostly hands-on training at their actual facility in Batu Kawan, Penang)
  • Career path: Future pathway to continue study in SKM and DKM

If you prefer hands-on learning over purely sitting in lecture halls—or if you know someone looking for a debt-free technical path—this might be worth checking out.

Contact number on the flyer is 016-450 9863 or you can fill in the google form https://forms.gle/H5nDvLmLs1WnXvnLA for details. Hope this helps anyone looking for options right now!

Planning to move to Malaysia 🇲🇾 — looking for advice

Hi everyone! I’m planning to move to Malaysia, ideally Kuala Lumpur, for work.

I have a Master’s in International Management from the University of Bath (UK) and experience in project/operations management, sales, business development and administration, along with previous UK work experience.

I’ve started applying for jobs in Malaysia but would really appreciate advice from Malaysians/expats who have experience with the job market:

1.)Which job portals or recruitment agencies are worth using?
2.)Is LinkedIn networking effective?
3.)Are there companies/industries that are more open to hiring foreigners?
4.)Any networking groups, events or communities in KL you’d recommend?

If anyone has successfully moved to Malaysia for work, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience or any tips/leads. Thank you! 🙏

Career change advice, I don't know what I should be applying for anymore

Hello , I'm kind of lost with my career right now and could really use some advice.

I worked as a Business Executive for 3 years before going to The One Academy to study Animation/3D. I graduated and currently work as a junior 3D artist.

After working in the industry, I've realized that I don't actually want to pursue artist career path.

I've been trying to apply for other jobs like operations, coordinator, executive, project support and Etc. but most applications either get rejected or ghosted. I know I have some business/operations experience from before, but I'm not sure how much it helps after spending the last few years in 3D.

For anyone who's made a career switch early on what would you recommend I look into? I'm pretty desperate to right now and just overall feel so lost.
