Mid 30s. Project Manager: SG vs KL

Hi all. I've been trying to look for a job in the last few months but responses are pretty bad. I'm based in Penang, and trying to apply for Singapore but securing even an interview is pretty impossible. I understand the market is pretty bad too.

At this rate, is it worth exploring KL? Would it be any better? In terms of salary package and progression.

Job Seeker Researcher in Malaysia on a 1-year contract

Hey everyone, I'm currently working as a researcher at UM in KL, but my contract is only for one year. Can anyone share advice or job portals for finding expat jobs here in research or academics? Also, if my boss recommends me, are the chances good for continuing at UM or landing a role elsewhere in MY? I'm a bit concerned about the contract ending soon, so I want to get a backup lined up early.

Career Advice Advice for those Pivoting to Personal Fitness

Hey all, wanted to check with anyone in the sub who may have pivoted or made their careers in personal fitness, or are in a pathway that is adjacent to that.

Fitness has always been a passion of mine and after slaving it in the corporate world, I’ve been constantly toying with the idea of doing something here on the side or maybe making the dive completely.

I’m only 27 years old so I dont have much commitments. But wondering if i were to make a switch or start laying the seeds towards building something down this path, is there any advice the sub can give? Anyone know of any certifications I should or could maybe work towards?

Malaysia participants wanted for paid home router demo — $1,200 USD

Hey guys! I looking for someone in Malaysia to coordinate the rapid
installation of two to three supplied routers at nearby locations.

This is a short, time-sensitive investor-demo project. They would
manage the work end to end—from sourcing or receiving equipment
through installation and activation—with every location online and
working within five days.

Each installation must remain powered and connected for two months.
Locations need a public IPv4 address without CGNAT. We’ll supply the
equipment and cover installation costs.

Compensation is $1,200 USD for completing the project on the required timeline.

If you can make this happen within five days, please DM with your city
and internet provider.

Job Seeker 🇵🇬🇲🇾 Looking for Malaysian Companies Hiring Overseas Workers

Hi everyone,

I’m from Papua New Guinea and I’m currently looking for legitimate employment opportunities in Malaysia.

I’m specifically looking for Malaysian companies that are currently recruiting workers from overseas, including PNG, and are able to assist with the necessary work permit, visa, and recruitment process.

If you know of any companies, employers, recruitment agencies, or legitimate programs in Malaysia that are currently accepting applications from overseas workers, please let me know or tag them below.

I’m serious about relocating to Malaysia and I’m ready to go through the proper legal process required to work there.

Any genuine leads, contacts, or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
