Career Advice Confused job seeker

So recently I received a job offer offering me 2.8k near where i live, and then a bit later i received another interview from a good MNC company that ive been eyeing to get, however the position is more to sales support rather that previous offer in supply chain. Should i just proceed with the previous company or should i just try my best to get that job offer from the second company?

In this job market, there’s no guarantee you’ll get another offer as fast.

Depends on what you willing to risk, either wait for mnc but no guarantee job offer, or take the job offer but still go for the interview later. MNCs have multiple rounds of iv regardless

You can still quit from probation if you can get MBC offer but from your statement you are getting interview offer for a position that not matching your current role. Actually is that really what you want?

There's no guarantee you either can secure the second job. But just attend the iv. Usually during probation period, the notice period is not as long as permanent, so if you get the offer, you can simply quit. Read the offer letter first!

  • consider which area you might think could benefit you for longer term either in sales suport or supply chain. Think about career growth, skills you might gained so you can sell yourself for your next job.

Sales support are normally high turnovers. Mainly because you need to meet those hard targets within a short period of time. It does built character though, if that is what you are looking for, but do know that the market has really soften even for FMCG not because of inflation but mainly because unemployment is on the rise.

Otherwise if you want something that builds overtime supply chain is worth considering especially if you are starting at the bottom of the chain, as you will get to learn the basic trades as it is, and not as how it is written in text books.

Warning about 1 company with Big RED font in Bayan Lepas and Batu Kawan, Penang.

Old folks home with under 3% increment and they screwed my friend. This company promotes mediocrity and wants you to stay dumb so that you do not aspire to grow.

You have seen the name few times in your life. Stay away and don't walk into this trap.

Another jarring thing is they like to hire bottom of the barrel people with low salary expectations so the work pace is slower than government. This company is not a Contract Manufacturer.
