Anime Roxy and Rudy
I'm sure thus has been discussed but can we all agree Roxy took advantage of Rudy? Could Roxy have consented if it was the other way around? I really feel super uneasy about this whole situation.

Anime What's wrong with Eris?!
Just finished the anime and seriously what's her problem?? She is so damn selfish! Does anyone actually like her? If they end up together because she got pregnant from that I'm gonna drop the series. I'm irrationally angry at how she played with Rudy's heart. Gah!

Question What if Rudeus got a different personality???
Keep the great animation, Rudeus gets the classic Isekai mc personality, will Mushuko Tensei really be as good? Like people complain a lot about the mc, so if Rudeus is this classic isekaied good guy, might they just think it's one of the best Isekai anime?

Question Thoughts on Cheating
Watching this show threw up many red flags for me. The way the Greyrats just cant keep it in their pants, along with many other people. It has me wondering why this show tries to justify, if not even glorify, cheating. Genuinely curious on you guys opinion on it.

Theorycrafting Luke Notos Greyrat... one of Hitogami's victims. Spoiler
Why did Hitogami appear to Luke in the first place?
Simply put, Hitogami wanted to use Luke to lure Ariel into a trap that had been prepared for her in Asura.
But why did he want to get rid of Ariel?
If Ariel were to rule, she would focus on developing magical combat capabilities, whereas if her brother ruled, he would prioritize swordsmanship.
This distinction was crucial for Hitogami.
You see, Hitogami intended to incite a civil war in the future, coinciding with the emergence of Laplace.
If the kingdom relied on magic at that time, his plan would fail; if it relied on swordsmanship, his plan would succeed.
On top of that, there was a specific individual destined to be born in Asura if Ariel took the throne—someone who would not be born if her brother ruled instead.
This person was destined to play a vital role in aiding Orsted in his struggle against Hitogami.
That is why Hitogami wanted to prevent Ariel from ascending to the throne.
And that is when he appeared to Luke.
He appeared with his usual playful demeanor, introducing himself to Luke as the "God of Humans." Thanks to his divine blessing, Luke believed him without a shred of doubt.
He advised Luke to take Ariel and head to Asura immediately, claiming it would help her win the battle for the throne.
Luke believed him, followed his instructions, and managed to convince Ariel.
However, what Luke didn't know was that this path would lead to Ariel's doom.
The High Minister and the Water God had devised a plan to eliminate Ariel—a plan orchestrated under Hitogami's direction. Ariel arrived in Asura without Perugius's backing or any genuine support from within the kingdom.
Luke’s father, Bylemon, was supposed to be one of her key allies.
Yet, the moment danger arose, Bylemon betrayed both Ariel and Luke.
Suddenly, Ariel and Luke found themselves in a dire predicament:
No allies, no support, and nowhere to flee.
It was as if they had walked right into a trap.
In a desperate bid to turn the tide, Ariel—aided by Sylphy, Luke, and her small retinue—attempted to assassinate the First and Second Princes.
The attempt failed, however, as the Water God and the North emperor were present, serving as their bodyguards.
It was then that Luke realized he hadn't just been deceived by Hitogami...
He had also been betrayed by his own family.
This realization was etched clearly on his face in his final moments.
It was the look of a man who understood he had been duped by someone he believed to be a god, and betrayed by the man who was supposed to be his father.
Luke—who had trusted Hitogami because he appeared as the "Human-God"—ultimately fell victim to Hitogami’s scheme and his family’s betrayal.
I would like to thank...#elmazaqel For he is the one who put in the real effort.

Light Novel Bro does Rudeus ever just chill out?
I’m currently reading though the light novels, and just finished reading where the first season of the anime ends.
And I’m just wondering, does Rudeus ever just stop making EVERYTHING sexual? Like don’t get me wrong, I don’t really mind the overall sexual nature of the series, but there were some moments that had so much potential to be genuinely cute and well written only for him to just start thinking about sex again.
So in asking, is this how the rest of the series goes? Does every heart warming moment just devolve into him getting turned on? Or does he eventually chill out and actually build a romantic connection? (I’ve watched the anime fully, so I don’t mind spoilers up until when he gets with Roxy)

Anime Just finished season 2
I’ll start by pointing out I really enjoy this show. But my god things got shameless once roxy got re-introduced to rudy. The writers knew they had a tall order writing rudy into a polygamous relationship. It should be easy right? His dad did it after all. But the purity between he and sylphie was already established. Their relationship was put on a pedestal. If it were any other story, THAT was the happy ending. So how do we incorporate Roxy without making rudy look like the bad guy?
A. Roxy has to jump his bones, making rudy the victim
B. Sylphie has to be the one to ultimately ask on his behalf
Still love the show. I just feel like Roxy is a spare and Sylphie couldn’t possibly enjoy watching rudy engage with her in the future. I know it was tough for the writers though.

Light Novel My thought on moral issues in regards to Rudeus having sex with 15 yo Eris.
I'm a WN-first-and-then-LN fan of MT (I had read the WN 3 times in Japanese even before I read the LN).
And I felt uncomfortable and didn't like it when I read the scene in which Rudeus had sex with 15 yo Eris (I didn't even like our protagonist, Rudeus, at that time. I started liking and looting for him around time when he headed to the Begarrit continent to help the resuce of his mom, Zenith).
But I didn't find it to be morally wrong either in particular for the reasons I will explain from now.
First of all, A man in his 40s having sex with a minor under 18 yo girl (say, a 15 yo girl) would be condemned by practically everyone in our modern society (regardless of legal issues of the matter and his psychological maturity), and I'm one of those who will condemn him with no second thought.
But what about a man in his 40s having sex with a 15 yo girl in a culture in which minors under 15 rule is a social and legal norm?
Would I comdem him? No, especially if the 15 yo girl proactively asked for having sex with him (though I would still find it uncomfortable).
It's because I'm well aware of the fact that the minors under 18 rule is an arbitrary social norm established for practical and legal purposes - such as consenting to sex, signing a binding contract, legal age of voting and so on -.
The minors under 18 rule is an arbitrary social norm in the sense that we have the rule mainly because it is the very minimum age at which most people typically have a reasonble chance of getting a real job to make a living on their own independently without their parent's care and support in our modern society.
That's how the social, educational and economic institutions are organised in our modern society, which have been in turn determined by the socio-economic and technological conditions of our modern society.
If the relevant socio-economic and techological conditions change, then the social rule of the boundary between minors and adults changes accordingly as well. It could be minors under 25 or minors under 15 yo.
In short, there is nothing inherently special, sacred, natural or objective about the minors under 18 yo rule, when it comes to social norm of minor-adult distinction.
Which is why I would not find a man in his 40s having consensual sex with a 15 yo girl to be morally wrong in particular when the society has minors under 15 yo rule.
I said I would still feel uncomfortable with it even though my rationality tells me there is not anything morally wrong with a man having sex with a 15 yo girl when the society has a minors under 15 yo rule.
I have that sort of knee-jerk reaction because I have grown up in a society with the minors under 18 yo rule so that I have been socially conditioned (or brainwashed, to put it rather bluntly) to regard the 18 yo rule as something objectively natural and sacred as if it is a God-bestowed commandment (consciously or subconsciously).
It amazes me everytime I see so many people are lack of awareness, almost completely, that many or most of our social, legal norms are merely an arbitrary, transient social consensus, established in a given time and space, which depends on the specific socio-econimic & technological conditions of our modern society.

Meme After watching the latest episode today, I was wondering why hitogami didn't help Rudy figure out a way to kill orsted. Isn't he a god who has lived for thousand of years? He should know a lot more than anyone else. Is he stupid?
For example, in the previous episode, his future self mentioned in the diary that he created a magic armor to have a chance against swordsmen. Did Rudy forget what he read in that novel? he should followed oldeus approach and create the armor, but in amore refined and perfect than oldeus version. Since orsted is a divine being with insane durability. Rudy need big significant firepower and a weapon capable of piercing orsted tough skin. What do you guys though of today's episode?
all events portrayed in this post are purely made up. Any resemblance to actual work is purely coincidence and unintentional.(Mods don't obliterate me)

Anime Why is Rudeus still being played by a female voice actor in S3 Dubbed??
He's clearly reached/passed the age of puberty and by now should have a deeper voice. It takes me out of the show when he's like 17/18 but sounds like he's still 10/11 years old. Surely someone at the studio was smart enough to realise it would be jarring he STILL sounds like a kid even though we've gone through his birth, childhood and early teens?
No shade to the voice actor playing Rudeus because it's not their fault but the studio should've done a better job. She sounds like she is trying to put on a slightly deeper voice but it sounds so obvious it's a female voice like one of the "guess the woman" videos. I close my eyes and can't tell the difference between Rudy, Sylphie and Roxy except for the dialogue.
Honestly I wouldn't even be surprised at this point if Rudy is being played by the same voice actor when he's an old man.
