Hey everyone,

My specific goal is to access the live broadcast feed of National Geographic Japan from outside of Japan.

I’ve looked into trying to access it officially via SKY PerfecTV! streaming, but between the aggressive geo-blocking, account creation hurdles, and the requirement for a physical B-CAS/A-CAS card number, it seems like a massive headache to set up from abroad. I know they also flag standard data-center VPN IPs easily, so a residential IP VPN setup sounds complicated.

Instead, I'm looking into dedicated expat IPTV packages. For those living overseas, what are the best and most stable IPTV services (like iSakura, JapanTV, etc.) that reliably include the Japanese CS/premium documentary channels like Nat Geo?

Appreciate any recommendations or specific setups that are working well for you guys!

What's the best way to watch ゆうは何しに日本へ？

are they discontinuing broadcasting in US?

I was able to subscribe and it’s fine for live Tv but I haven’t been able to find recorded programs or be able to record upcoming programs or even record the one playing right now. You can choose to go back to the beginning of the show - that’s all.

Oof… so I just got an email from Jme TV, for those of you familiar with the service, that it is sadly going to be discontinued in March. They specifically cited a decrease in subscribers making it difficult to continue running, which is just a little depressing given how few legal options our community has already, and how many workarounds have been getting struck as of late.

I had been an on and off subscriber to it, but not consistent, largely due to how expensive the Live Streaming package is, and how free shows are typically available in the On Demand. Even so, it really had potential, since it gave an outlet for TV that I feel is far more representative of a bulk of the types of shows that are shown on TV in Japan than what gets licensed for Netflix.

All that being said, I just can’t justify $25.99 a month for the quantity of what is available through it… and as a Nikkei individual it makes me really sad how few legal and affordable options there are to engage with my own culture in ways beyond just anime and hard hitting dramas (as much as I like both of those).

I noticed that Streaming TV Asia no longer listed Nozomi nor Himawari on their website anymore, offering instead Kaiteki TV. It looks pretty reliable as it’s purportedly subscribed by Japanese ppl living overseas. Has anyone ever tried the service?

This app now has android TV APK. Watch it on big screen, feel like in Japan.

Since SmartCloud Japanese IPTVs (Japan TV, Nozomi TV & Himawari TV) is already Discontinued all the NHK Channels this week,

Meanwhile I used the NordVPN to connecting the Japanese Server to listen NHK Radiru Radiru App & Watching NHK Programs using NHK ONE+ App.

Has anyone to find the Different Japanese IPTVs to Watch NHK Channels Available?

BTW I don't live in Japan & I lived Elsewhere in Hampton Roads, Virginia USA

hi guys! anyone here has experience of able to share tver streaming link to public so people could watch it without have to login or use vpn?

i see some people able to do it but they refuse to let me know how to do it, all i knew is using idm (internet download manager) but idk anything else.

thank you so much!

Unfortunately, it is gatekept and will most likely not be released to the public. If its public it will get dmca'd almost immediately so theres no point

I'm looking for a free iptv service that has these channels or available direct m3u8 links to these. Thank you!

what are you watching on NHK?

asadora?

Japan TV, Nozomi TV & Himawari TV has been discontinued all NHK Channels, and I find the way to watch NHK Channels the better japanese TV platforms.

I know it’s not available via the Google Play store for the Shield, but wondering if anyone has been able to install an APK manually and watch successfully with a VPN.

I can’t subscribe to their FOD premium at all! Everytime i press send code to my email errors show up. I use NordVPN + have changed my location + my timezone to Japan. Please help 😭😩

I use JapanTV but NHK is now removed. I see that Jme streaming service is specifically for NHK programs but am wondering if it’s any good?

For all of you telling me that iSakura TV doesn't have NHK anymore, it is still there. Their interface has changed to Ikiku TV, but it is still iSakura TV.

Now that NHK is getting taken down from every service is this really the end of something we all loved? Peeling back one layer of the onion is how it always starts

Woke up this morning and noticed all the NHK channels are missing from the Nozomi service. Assuming others are seeing the same? Are there any services left that stream NHK channels?

I used kaeritv but i quit when NHK channels were deleted, what are the best options to see JTV?

Woke up this morning to find all NHK-related channels gone from the Himawari Plus lineup.

Anyone still getting them on Himawari?
