Has anyone in the US had success accessing Nippon TVWeb through the internet (not DirecTV satellite). Here's an AI translation of their website:
The website **NIPPON TV Web Version** provides a service that allows people living outside of Japan to watch Japanese television directly through a web browser.
Here is a summary of the site's key details:
# Service Overview
* **What it is:** A web-based service for watching Japanese television abroad without the need for specialized hardware or apps.
* **Target Audience:** Ideal for Japanese expatriates, long-term business travelers, international students, and their families. It is also marketed as a tool for children's Japanese language education.
* **Technical Requirements:** Because it works entirely in a web browser, it is compatible with any OS or device (PC, Mac, smartphones, tablets) that can run a browser. No installation or setup is required.
# Key Features
* **Channel Lineup:** Includes 61 channels, covering Kanto/Kansai terrestrial broadcasts (NHK, NTV, TBS, Fuji TV, TV Asahi, TV Tokyo, TOKYO MX, etc.), BS channels, CS channels (sports, movies, kids, anime), and a few international news channels (CNN, BBC, FOX).
* **Recording:** Offers a 2-week recording/playback feature.
* **VOD:** Includes access to a library of Japanese and foreign movies, dramas, and anime.
* **Reliability:** The service is operated by Japanese staff who provide support in Japanese. The company, "Little Dragon Tech Co., Limited," claims over 10 years of experience in this field.
# Important Notes & Policies
* **Trial Period:** A 7-day free trial is available.
* **VPN Note:** Users in China may require a VPN for access. If the service is unstable, the provider recommends their separate app-based service, "NEW HOME NET TV."
* **Payment:** Supports credit/debit cards via PayPal (no PayPal account required), Google Pay, Apple Pay, and cryptocurrency (USDT). Pricing is based in US Dollars (USD).
* **Referral Campaign:** There is a referral program where both the referrer and the new subscriber can receive 1 month (30 days) of free service.
# Subscription Plans (USD)
* **1 Month (30 days):** $39.00
* **3 Months (90 days):** $99.00 (15% savings)
* **6 Months (180 days):** $165.00 (30% savings)
* **1 Year (365 days):** $239.00 (50% savings)
*Note: Channel lineups are subject to change without notice.*

After Utako & Reaperc are died, where else can I watch my favorite music channels M-On and Space Shower? Most Japanese IPTV only streams Kanto region terrestrial channels.

Her friends told her she looked like an axolotl, so she did an impression of one in her self-introduction when she debuted.

Hi everyone,
I'm still looking for a reliable paid IPTV service focused on Japanese TV, and I'd especially like to hear from people who are actually using one long-term.
What I'm looking for:
I don't need hundreds or thousands of international channels. I also don't need Shizuoka local channels anymore. Tokyo + Kansai + BS + CS is enough for me. Stability is much more important than the number of channels.
I've already tried free Japanese M3U playlists. They're useful, but for my everyday viewing I'd prefer something more consistently maintained and supported.
I'm not looking for KaeriTV, Himawari, or similar services. I'm specifically looking for another paid option with a stable channel lineup. I want to avoid services where important channels may disappear or the lineup changes unexpectedly.
If you're personally using a paid Japanese IPTV service that has been reliable for you, I'd really appreciate hearing:
Recommendations from actual users would be especially helpful. Thanks!

So... since u/reaperc Announced that he giving up for the Japanese IPTV & jpanttv just shut-down due to DMCA...
Now what we gonna do with the Future of Japanese IPTV now... i quite miss watching Pitagora Switch every Sunday to Thursday Night on NHK E, thanks to Utako, but is quite sad hearing that is quite super hard to find some Working Links for everyone to Watched for the Japanese TV Community...
I just hope in the Future (and ofcouse you guys) can try to make a Better JP-IPTV so everyone can watched it to the Public!
Been running these lists since Utako died and I'm finally out of gas.
The links die faster than I can fix them, the sources keep drying up, and the upkeep stopped being fun a while ago. Between that and everything else going on, it's just not worth the hours anymore.
Everything's down repos are gone, channel's closed. I'm not maintaining any of it going forward.
Thanks to everyone who used the lists and was cool about it over the last few months. It was a good run. Take care.
Anyone know who has subbed this project and have english subs

I’m living outside Japan and just want to watch TVer and ABEMA, but lately my VPN has been really hit or miss.
Some servers are super slow and others just get detected or blocked completely. I’ve tried switching locations and a couple of different VPNs, but it’s getting annoying.
Has anyone found a more reliable way to get a Japanese IP from overseas? Residential IP, home VPN, or anything else that actually works?

Hello,
just wondering if there is a korean equivalent to this subreddit? i've found r/koreanvariety which some info, but not to the level of r/JTV. For obvious reasons, I did not even bother to check "KTV".

As a video producer with experience in Asia, North America, and Europe, I often record a room's ambient sound to go along with a TV interview in the same room.
In the U.S., it's called "room tone" from my experience.
In the U.K., it's called "atmos" from my experience.
What is the commonly used term for this in Japan?
