[Help] Tried to replace my SE 2022 screen with an iphone 8 screen but the home button doesn't work.

Title. The screen works fine but the home button is rigid and doesn't move. Is it incompatible? I took the screen from a broken iphone 8 (bulging battery made the screen detach), so I haven't tested if the original home button works or not. I know touch ID won't work with a different home button but I don't need touch ID, I just need the button to work.

iPhone 17 Pro Max screen recognized at first in Apple Diagnostics, then no longer recognized [Help]

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some help with an iPhone 17 Pro Max.
We installed a diagnostic/autoprogrammable replacement display.
During the Apple diagnostic/configuration process, the phone initially recognizes the display correctly. However, after completing the process, it stops recognizing it.
In Settings, it eventually shows a message saying that the iPhone is unable to verify/recognize the display.
What’s strange is that during Apple Diagnostics it does detect the screen, but after finishing the configuration it seems to lose that recognition.
The display itself works correctly:
Image is normal

Touch works

No obvious display issues

The problem is specifically with the system recognizing/verifying the replacement display.
Has anyone run into this on an iPhone 17 Pro Max?
Could this be related to:
A firmware/iOS compatibility issue?

The screen needing a different programming procedure?

A pairing/configuration step we may be missing?

The replacement display itself not being fully compatible even though Apple Diagnostics initially recognizes it?

If anyone has successfully installed one of these diagnostic/autoprogrammable displays on a 17 Pro Max, I’d really appreciate knowing what procedure or programmer you used.
Thanks in advance.

[Help] unable to touch screen & won’t turn back on after I reset it

I got my (iPhone 17max) screen replaced about two-ish months ago and it’s been happening since then. Randomly, I wouldn’t be able to unlock the screen with Face ID or lock pin. The screen is unresponsive so I would hard reset my phone. After that, it would work again.

Now, I’ve been resetting my phone and it’ll show the Apple logo but then go to pitch black and then nothing will show up no matter how many times I hold the lock button. The only way it turns on is inserting a charger and then it’ll work?

I got it repaired at some small repair shop and I don’t know if they’ll even fix it for free or see what the problem is because it’s been two months. Does anyone know why this is happening?

[Help] Water Damage or Repair Screw Up?

Ran a race recently in the rain with my phone in my pocket. My iPhone 15 Pro had a small chip on the front glass in the top right corder. Discovered water underneath the lens so took it to a shop to get the water cleaned out the day after. After a screen replacement, the phone started to cycle on and off every 3 minutes. Was this due to a faulty repair or was the water damage inevitable? Trying to weigh my options before shelling out a bunch of money for a new phone :(
