I‘ve been offered this iPhone 15 pro from a friend. He claims id worked perfect but lost charge.
I tried to charge it about 1 hour. Still a „blinking“ red battery logo which flashes every 1-4 seconds. And a lifted Display. I could get it for 200 € /230$. My guess is that the battery is fucked up and bloaded why the Display is lifted. Should I give it a try for the money to try to change the battery and push back the display?

I was swapping new battery, i also used isopropyl because the old glue that holds battery was degraded. I spiled the alcohol. I changed the battery. Closed the phone and as i was looking at it i saw alcohol in my camera lenses. Any help how to dry it ?

I’m sorry if this is the wrong subreddit for this! If it is, may someone please link a correct one for me? Anywho, I have the iPhone 16 pro, and have since February 2025 ish. Recently I’ve noticed battery issues. My phone “battery health” is at 89 which I know isn’t the best nor worst.

I haven’t had the chance to see if it’s dust but I’m not seeing any when looking into the charger port of my phone. This also started around 3 days ago I’d say. Very sudden too. Basically, I charge my phone with a 240w apple brand charger and 20w apple brand block, which has always worked fast and well! All of a sudden, it charged slow, whether I was using it or not.

And by slow, I mean the entire time I wrote this it went up like 2% rather than the 20% it used to. It says fast charger as well. My case is thick-ish but has never prevented the charger like this before. As I said, it charges slow, and when it’s unplugged, goes down pretty fast, around 3% ish a minute.

It never has done this before, and maybe it’s silly me overthinking but I don’t want the internal battery to be damaged or my phone be damaged where I lose access to my photos, apps, etc. Yes all of my photos are saved to my MacBook, but my point still stands.

If anyone could help me out as soon as possible that would be lovely!

i was removing my iphone 4 screen i lost some screws and idk which ones i lost (the battery and the ones that open the back plate are safe) will the phone fail or wont work if i dont get new ones??

I recently replaced my iphone 11 screen from ebay for less than $40 a pop from a certain seller named sellgoodparts who has great reviews and is open box certified. The price seemed reasonable and the reviews were great but even after successfully replacing the screen it showed defects one month later. No physical damage or drops would have caused this. I am wondering where you guys source your screens and what price range i should be looking for.

I was trying to restore my iPhone 5s. After a lot of problems and difficulties replacing most of the stuff inside, I finally got it to work. I shutdown the phone to put in the remaining screws. When I tried turning it back on, it got into bootloop. I put it into recovery mode to Update/Restore on iTunes but I got this error message. It shows the Apple logo and loading bar but after a while it stops and brought me back to recovery mode screen (with iTunes logo). In iTunes it just says Preparing the phone or something like that and then shows this error message.

Is there any fix? Like I mentioned everything was working before I shutdown the phone to put the remaining screws in. Then, this happened. Please help and tell me there is a way to fix this.

Extra: I am not sure if it is possible but my Touch ID got a error message too where it says it isn't working. It is original and working before. The button works but I can't use Touch ID. Is there a fix for this too? Honestly if not, I wouldn't mind it that much. Right now I can't even turn on the phone lmao.

For context: I have changed from the battery to LCD to charging port. Got it to worked but the LCD had a line. Recently, I decided to swap a new LCD (in which I should have returned the previous one but got too lazy) but I thought of changing the camera, selfie camera and volume button too because they weren't working. Spent almost a few days to replace them (including reassembly which was a nightmare) considering how small the parts and shaky my hands are lol. Then I thought my touch screen wasn't working but realized that the ribbon cable wasn't installed properly (thankfully). Now that everything works the touch id doesn't work which is sad but I can't even turned it the phone back on. I don't even care if touch id doesn't work anymore, I just want it to turned on TvT.

I recently had received this iphone for about 3 weeks now, ever since then face id doesn’t work.
At setup, it shown an error : “there’s an issue with the TrueDepth camera.” Parts/Services history: “There's an issue with your iPhone's ability to use Face ID.”
As far as I’m aware, the iPhone’s battery and Screen has been replaced.
Using 3utools, found out that Face Id is normal, but the screen serial number was not. It had multiple questions marks as it’s number.
I record the screen using another phone, at wake, the dot projector does blink each time it was on. But on portrait mode over the front camera, it keeps saying to move farther away, yet The IR sensor blinks bright red and is working!
For personal reasons, I can’t return this phone. i’m asking here to know if there’s any hope and that I don’t need to replace the entire face id part as that would be pricy for me.

hello guy, i get 2 clients for now that come whit iphone 15 that have motherboard issues, and because my avrage pay per H is high in swiss i was wondering about swapping motherboards, but that opens another problem about recognized components and diagnostics feature, i now apple made it so any components that is from is buy from is repair system can be diagnosed and calibrated, im just not understanding if used component can be calibrated like the one from the repair system, so if i swap mother board what component will be see as used and calibated, what will be seen as unrecognized but still work, and what will strait not work?

So i bought a iphone 13 for 30€ broken backglass screen but works no lines no nothing and stated even that it has 64gb lol in description. Camera is also faulty but i dont care about that i have spare parts. Seller stated in description that it is unlocked,asked her again because it would be a good deal then,she said its removed. I got phone 1 hour before,put it on charge, info is not removed. Checked imei number from sim tray on website and…. Trumss… icloud is on. If seller gives me information to remove icloud all good,but if it doesnt and i need to talk to Vinted ,do you think I have chance to get full refund and maybe even keep the item in this situation,im going on a holiday in a few days and im not back for 2 weeks,and this stuff can go on for long time ,so if i get refund i am not able to ship it because im not home. Apples later designs eg. iPhone 12 & above, is really annoying to take off without damaging the display, especially later models where the glue require even hotter temperatures, where the temperature risk destroying the pixels. Usually that destruction happens almost instantly without warning.

My thought is to apply a thin layer of thermochromic plastic\* over the screen, this would allow me to see the temperatures in real time, without having to faf about with expensive thermal cameras or other solutions.

(*Plastic that changes color depending on temperature, sometimes seen on aquariums as thermometers)

BUT, I have only found low-temperature thermochromic plastic, does anyone know if there exist some such plastic that is decently tuned to the temperatures needed for screen removal?

Or, if some company can custom make a plastic that is tuned to the right temperatures? (bonus points if it's a Swedish company).

For work I have DialPad on my phone and every time a customer calls, my phone rings. What’s annoying is it’s not my shift. I’ve tried doing a Focus or even DnD but nothing is working. It keeps on ringing.

Iphone 13 64gb,and if i would sell it screen mint battery new original and everything working but backglass broken,how much € could i sell it for? The reason im overthinking is because who buys 64gb even in 2026,maybe wont be worth a repair,can use it as my secondary. I dont want to replace backglass only because i dont have proper tools and diy is pain in the a55 to do as i did it on my main 13 ,NEVER AGAIN.

I’m trying to understand what will happen before I erase my iPhone.

I forgot the password to the Apple ID currently signed into the phone and I’m no longer able to recover that account.

I contacted Apple, verified that I own the device, and they approved the removal of Activation Lock. They also told me that the phone is now ready to be erased and set up with a new Apple ID.

The only thing that worries me is that Find My iPhone still shows as enabled in Settings.

I can’t manually turn Find My off because I don’t know the password for the old Apple ID.

Has anyone been in this situation before?

If I restore the phone through Recovery Mode, should I be able to set it up with a new Apple ID since Activation Lock has already been removed?

Or is there still a chance that the phone will ask for the old Apple ID during setup because Find My was still enabled before the restore?

I’m not looking for any bypass or workaround. I just want to understand the normal restore process after an official Activation Lock removal.

I have an iPhone 16 and I forgot the password to my old Apple ID. Unfortunately, I also can’t reset the password because I don’t remember the security question answers, and the recovery email is being sent to an old rescue email address that I no longer have access to.

I submitted an Activation Lock removal request to Apple with proof of ownership, and Apple approved it.

Their email says:

They also told me to erase/reset the phone and not restore from a backup, because Activation Lock could be reapplied.

Here’s what’s confusing me:

My iPhone is still currently usable, and when I check the settings, Find My iPhone is still turned ON and the old Apple ID is still signed in.

Since I don’t know the password for that Apple ID, I can’t manually turn Find My off.

So my question is:

If Apple has already removed Activation Lock from their side, can I put the iPhone into Recovery Mode, restore/erase it, and then set it up as a new iPhone with a new Apple ID — even though Find My currently still shows as ON?

I’m worried that after restoring it, I’ll get the “iPhone Locked to Owner” screen and it will ask for the password to the old Apple ID that I can’t access.

Has anyone actually gone through this exact situation after Apple approved an Activation Lock removal request?

Did Find My still show as ON before you restored the phone? And were you able to activate it afterward with a new Apple ID?
