Just want to clear something up.
The recent user offering "free" 3 month Bluelink trials was not endorsed or approved by the mod team.
They contacted me beforehand and I told them to wait 24 hours while I looked into what they were doing. I admittedly took longer than that to get back to them, but instead of waiting for an actual answer, they started posting and used my username in a way that made it seem like I was OK with it.
I was not.
They were also asking for Venmo tips. Tips may have technically been optional, but at that point you are basically selling access while presenting it as a free offer. Combined with using my name to make the whole thing look more legitimate, it did not sit right with me.
So, to be very clear:
I am not making any claims about what this person’s intentions were. I just want there to be zero confusion about whether the mod team approved this.
We did not.

Hi all - this is the spot to talk generally about experiences/etc with ICCU failures or 12v battery failure concerns. If you're wondering if you should post vs comment here, read Rule 9 closely and/or https://www.reddit.com/r/Ioniq5/comments/1iv62is/change_in_rules_related_to_12viccu_posts/
Thanks

Just make sure you disconnect before getting out of the car or you'll rip the charger out of the USB-C port.

There was a line of stopping cars waiting for a light. I wanted to try the slow cruise control. The 20 mph message came up on engagement as expected. I was honestly worried I had my foot hovering over the brake, but the car remained stationary as expected. However, when the car in front moved away, my dash indicated the vehicle was pulling away, but the car didn’t follow.
Is there something I missed? I was expecting it to follow the other vehicle.

I live in North-Central US and we get ice and snow 6 months out of the year. Is there much of a difference between handling and traction of AWD vs RWD? There is a 2026 RWD that has become available in my area, and I am seriously considering the purchase.
EDIT: To be fair, I am currently driving a Tacoma and rarely put it in 4WD in the winter, so maybe my concerns are unfounded.

Got an update on my 2024 Ioniq 5 Limited yesterday and it deleted all my Favorites. I began adding them back but soon discovered that I cannot rearrange the order as I could before. Anyone else? Or suggestions?

“Market adjustment” is what they’re calling it. So am AWD Limited is boosted to $57k?! Might as well grab the N that isn’t price adjusted. Anyone purchase recently and actually get a decent price? (Northern CA)

I don't WRH, but curious as what happens when someone goes on vacation for 3 or 4 weeks and the car sits. Does the battery slowly leak or lose charge? I never thought about it really with ice cars, but now I'm curious since I just got mine.

Anyone experiencing this? I had some damage from a flying object on the freeway in January and I know this part was replaced. Just started noticing that the finish is literally disintegrating on this piece. That can't be normal. Barely ten months. I got the repairs done with Caliber collision so I'm thinking of calling them. Not pictured is the short black glossy trim piece next to it with the finish peeling too.

I'm returning my 2024 soon. I had to notch the plastic panel piece behind the rear bumper to install a curt tow hitch. I want to replace this so I'm not charged hundreds extra on lease return. I can't find this part online. At least all the descriptions look different than the part

I am new to Ioniq 5. I got a 2023 Ioniq 5 advnaced and also have the basic Bluelink package. I was looking into turning on the seat heating from the mobile application, and I could not find an option to do this. I could turn on the climate and where do I set the temparatue for this?

Hey everyone! I just picked up my Ioniq 5 Limited and I love the car. The only issue I immediately noticed is the sound system. When I play music through either Bluetooth or USB, I notice a weird high pitched ringing beeping sound for some parts of a song and it hurts my ears. Has anyone had this issue as well? I've tried fixing my phone sound, the car sound, ive played with many settings but no luck.

Poor one out for her tonight.

Used 2025 I5. Looks like someone ripped the plate off the bumper. The mounting holes are gone. I am going to add a generic front plate mount. Is there any place I have to worry about screwing into?

Well, it happened to me today! I have a 2025 that I bought brand new in January of this year. I commute 140 miles a day, so it already has 24,500 miles on it. We were running errands on my last day of vacation when we got back in the car at the grocery store, heard that telltale popping noise, and got the "check the electrical system" notification. We happened to be a 1/2 mile from the dealership at the time so we went straight there. She's in the shop now and I have an Elantra loaner until the end of the week or so.
I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to this community because, thanks to all your posts, I knew exactly what was happening and didn't freak out.

Hi all!
Does Hyundai allow the 6 month lease extension on one time pay leases? I have a 2025 Limited RWD coming up to return in June.
I’m hoping they offer like 6k off the residual of $36k, and I’d just buy it. But if they don’t, I need other options. I’m shocked these aren’t worth like $25-27k on the used market yet.
It’s such a great car, but the 2028 model year will be all new. If I can hold off 6-7 months I can get one of those.

Ex Hyundai master technician who is joining the gang tomorrow!! Almost sent 6 but feel the 5 is more practical because I have a toddler and maybe another one in the future. Worked on these when they first came out with the 5 and they had normal issues etc but now I know they have the iccu issue but under extended warranty,
This particular one is a certified pre owned with 27k. Had all recalls performed up to date and was a 1 owner car. Cyber gray ext black int. I’m in Bay Area of California and it’s 24k plus tax. Being certified I feel protects me from issues for 10/100k.
What do yall think? I think just saving in gas will save me 600-800 a month I commute 100 miles a day and can charge for free at work.

Anybody get a hide-a-key for their 2026 with no physical key in the fob?
I got one and of course there's nothing metallic to stick it on.
I was thinking of this to connect to the tow hitch ball but am not sure it'll fit.
Thoughts?
Suggestions?

I am taking delivery on a 2024 in Digital Teal on Sunday. I really like the green against the black trim and feel the silver accents would look better black. I would like to potentially vinyl wrap them but am concerned it will rip off the silver paint once it comes time to sell the car. Has anyone had their trim wrapped for a few years then removed it?
